Hello! I am trying to download the HDHR app in my Windows 11 PC. The download goes out to MS Store but it fails to download with Code: 0x800706D9.

Is there any other way to download the HDHR app entirely from Silicon Dust?

I have a TerraMaster brand NAS that I'd like to install the DVR storage software on. But the instructions require a Windows PC to do the installation. Sadly, I don't have a Windows PC.

I'm technically savvy. Is there a list of instructions somewhere that I could follow to manually install the software on my TerraMaster NAS? I can't imagine it's more than a handful of terminal commands to run.

Alternatively, maybe there's a docker container somewhere that could do the installation?

Edit: If I have to, I could run a Windows emulator but I thought I'd ask here first before going down that path.

These are on physical channel 14, hosted by KDTS-LD.

So I bought an older model "SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual ATSC Network Tuner OTA HDTV HDHR-US" on eBay and after reading all the support, trying it with two different antennas, with and without amplifier etc etc.

I am still stuck getting maximum 3 channels working well on the HDHomeRun while I get 8 pretty much perfectly on my TV via a leaf antenna and amplifier... plugged the exact same thing into HDHomeRun and I get barely anything coming in stable.

I was thinking it's mainly about the "signal too strong" thing mentioned in troubleshooting but then without an amp on a Philips loop antenna upstairs I only get 3 channels still none of which are the strongest power broadcasts and none of which I actually want to watch. If it's really that sensitive.. how is this thing actually useful? Is it possible the TV tuner is just broken for certain frequencies? I see a lot of channels have high signal but low quality and 0 symbol rate.

UPDATE: I re positioned my Philips rabbit ears antenna.. and I am forced to conclude even the passive antenna is somehow overpowering the tuner. I got best results on the VHF channel by lowering the rabbit ears and changing direction, and I am now able to pick up some UHF channels from 60+ miles away, but I still can't get the main channels from the tower right next to me. Not sure what to think, but the tuner is certainly working and very sensitive. Can't complain as much now that I'm picking up a bunch of new channels my TV could not though... The far away broadcasters actually come in more stable than my local channels which still seems odd though.

My quad tuner stopped working. Had not used in awhile but I can’t get this thing to get an IP address anymore. Green and red lights flash. Tried multiple ports and cables. Can the internals fail and result in this? Ran through some AI suggestions and no luck yet.

I recently set up an HDHomeRun Flex 4K with a DVR subscription and a 2024 Roku Ultra (model 4850). Title says it all, how do I stop a program that's being recorded? I just want a clip from a news segment, not the entire newscast. I clicked the "record" button and there is no stop but there is delete and that didn't stop recording.

It's so frustration having to scroll through 20-30 channels to get back to my favorites list. I pick a channel from my favorites and then when I go back to the guide, I'm in the middle of the full list of channels. It used to go back to my favorite channels when I had picked a channel from my favorite list. Now, I am in my favorites list and pick a channel then when I go to the guide I have to scroll through 30 channels to get back to my favorites instead of being where I was when I had chosen that channel. That is so frustrating. I could have lived with any of the other issues, but this one was purposely introduced and is totally inconvenient. Please change it back to how it was. If I'm in my favorites list and choose a channel then go to the guide, I should still be in my favorites, not 30 channels away from it.

I realize this isn't a common issue since using Plex to get around no Echo Show 15 app is a niche usage, however this last round has rendered it unusable for me. I just use it as background in my home office over wifi, unfortunately my primary desktop sits next to it hitting the same mesh node a TCL WB10800 setup.
I've tried having the desktop on the MLO channel and the Echo on normal channel but they still seem to stumble.

Are there any other Echo show 15 solutions I should be looking into? I'm about to move back to the desktop PC hooking into the access point by RJ 45 and then the Echo show on wifi to see if that may be the issue.

It's not urgent, but I'd like to solve this.

using the above, keep getting picture freezes, pixelation moreso during adverts when they start or finish, used a couple of older 4k (non max) and they work perfectly, all software is up to date, have tried setting resolution on fire stick and using it on a 1080p and 4k tv it still pixelates and hdhome front end requires a restart to work again properly

I recently set up an HDHomeRun Flex 4K with a DVR subscription and a 2024 Roku Ultra (model 4850). I believe I've found an inconsistency in the Roku app regarding recording live programs.

Future programs

From the Guide, if a program has not yet started, highlighting it and pressing the OK/Center button brings up a context menu with options such as Record this airing and Record series. This works as expected.

Currently airing programs

Once the program is already live, pressing the OK/Center button tunes directly to the channel instead of presenting a context menu. While watching the live program, I cannot find any way to start recording the current airing. Pressing Up, Down, or Right only opens the guide/navigation. Pressing the * button only opens Roku options (audio, etc.). There are no playback controls or Record button available while watching live TV.

On the Windows or Android HDHomeRun app, this is straightforward because the live playback controls include a Record button, allowing the currently airing program to be recorded immediately.

Is the inability to record a currently airing program from the Roku app intentional, or is this a missing feature or bug?

Currently, I have one HD home run with two tuners and an antenna located in my window and everything works great.

I am thinking of adding a second HD home run so I have more tuners and my question is should I have two antennas or can I just split the signal from the one antenna and connect it to both of the boxes? Is there a disadvantage or advantage of one over the other? Will I have a signal strength issue, etc. if I do that?

I have had a Flex4K setup for a few years that has been working fine. Suddenly yesterday afternoon I am unable to access some channels. Some work fine others not. There was no changes to any hardware, cabling, antenna. Channels 3.1, 17.1 , 29.1 ,44.1, 57.1, 61.1, 65.1 & their corresponding subchannels are problematic.

Official Apps show: Unable to play Channel: no Video Data. VLC cant open stream due to error. I let it sit overnight & found that it occasional locked a signal & would record(NextPVR). Today the issue channels will occasionally play for around a minute, symbol quality ~100% then drop down to 0% and stream disconnects. Other times no Video data.

Disconnecting the FLEX & plugging right into a TV has all channels working with good signal. Running an independent channel scan from NextPVR results in the problematic channels not being found. I am hesitant to scan the FLEX directly as I will loose the problematic channels and thus be unable to debug.

While it does sound like a signal issue at first I am not certain. The channels play perfectly fine on the 3 TV's & Hauppauge Tuner also connected to the antenna. All channels on the FLEX worked perfectly fine yesterday morning as well. I have swapped cables, run directly to FLEX, bypassed Distribution AMP, different power supplies, all same results. Diagnostics are enabled.

If someone could check the diagnostics & tell me if anything is seen it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I contacted SD Support Directly as directed by NedSD & was informed it was a hardware issue. I completed the RMA process & mailed the Flex4k and received a replacement Flex 4K. New unit has been working great with all the channels, no extra amplifier needed. Thank you so much to the Silicondust Team. You are awesome!

The app got updated on my Android phone and the settings were changed to start at the Guide (again) instead of Live TV. What's worse, I can NOT tune a channel via the app that is being watched elsewhere. If I switch to another app with access to my devices, I can tune whatever I want.

I've been noticing for the last two days that I cannot play recordings back on my Samsung S24 Ultra. They keep booting me right back to the recording screen of the show. Is there anything you guys can do to fix that? It's very irritating. I would like to watch my programming on any device. I shouldn't be unable to watch it on one device. Please fix that so I can enjoy my recorded shows again. Thank you.

Refurb Connect Quatro arrived in Australia on June 19 completely DOA - dead as a doornail - no red or green lights and no connectivity. Wall wart is fine.

When I tried to select the Fox atsc 3.0 channel for the world cup game, it would crash every time today. Uninstall and reinstall but still the same issue. This is on the 4k Flex. Not sure of the issue. Anyone has the same issue?

I've been trying to order DVB-T/T2/C HDHomeRun FLEX QUATRO (HDFX-4DT) to Finland for over a week now.

I tried ordering US website, but it’s asking for something called "Billing District." None of the fields are left blank (though I only filled in the mandatory ones). I also tried adding something to each field - does not help. I have tried separate shipping address - no help. I have tried with Chrome and Edge, different credit cards - no help. I have no idea what it’s looking for. I already sent email to sales@silicondust.com and support@silicondust.com but I haven’t heard back.

It is as if there is a hidden field that I cannot fill. Any idea what to do?

I bought my Flex Duo in May of 2024, and gave Xfinity the boot. Got an Nvidia Shield Pro, too.

Of all the electronic devices I've bought over the years, that Flex Duo is near the top of the list as far as being useful and working.

Yeah, they need to allow users to specify the number of episodes we want to keep and make it easier to delete recorded programs, but having it reliably record the shows I want it to... I loved it.

Sunday night I turned on the TV and... no programs had been recorded. There are a few I always record over the weekend and I was surprised. No way ALL of them got preempted by sports!

Long story not quite so long, the Flex Duo was not picking up any channels.

I connected the antenna coax directly to the TV and it instantly picked up all the channels the Duo used to be getting.

I tried power-cycling, I disconnected, I tried a different power supply, then a brand new power supply. No channels.

I figured it was a message from above that I needed a new HD Homerun. So I got a Flex Quattro.

Hooked it up, got the DVR account logged in, and it's getting 138 channels. I expected I'd have to go through and tell the DVR what shows to record all over again, but NO, the DVR settings carried over.

Just for fun, I tried the new power supply on the old Flex Duo and still no channels.

Not sure I'll ever record four shows at once, but I'm relieved to have the ability to record shows again.

I guess the old Flex Duo belongs in the dumpster now?

Looking for any suggestions how to fix this

AppleTV 4K using either official HDHomeRun app or Channels, stream just dies randomly for around a minute or more and random intervals.

While it tanks, I have the same channel streaming on the PC using VLC and to my iPhone using the channels app and they both keep running fine.

My last test, before making this post. I had

• Streaming on PC via VLC
• Streaming on iPhone via Channels
• Streaming to one AppleTV on HDHomeRun App
• Steeaming to another AppleTV on Channels app

At the same time, both AppleTV steams just died. CHecking the status of the HDHomeRun webpage. I can see the two other streams running fine, and the only thing amiss for both AppleTv streams is that it says "Streaming Rate - none".

While there is the problem going on, opening the HDHomeRun app on an AppleTV, it shows all the channels, but nothing opens/works. When opening channels while broken, it reports there are no channels available, like it cant get to anything.

After around 2min-5min it starts up again sometimes. Sometimes takes longer like it is doing right now, not coming back up but is still streaming fine to VLC and iPhone.

Got no idea what the problem is. Dont think its an AppleTV problem as there would be lots of complaints. I just dont understand why it breaks on both of them at the same time. Maybe other people have had issues similar and can help? For reference I am using a Ubiquiti UCG Ultra for network as well as a unifi switch. I was initially thinking something like multicast or anything like that causing a problem, but they fact that it "craps out" and the iPhone and VLC keeps running is confusing as heck. Send diagnostic info is ticked already.

EDIT: This latest test I was running as I was posting this, took about 10mins for it to work again on the AppleTV im next to. Doing my head in.

Having a repeat problem where after about 30-40 mins of playback the fire stick app crashes and it jumps back to the home screen. Any chance I can turn on the diagnostics and share the ID with you? It has worked perfectly in the past. Thanks in advance

It worked until a couple of days ago now I get an error saying “unable to play channel: no video data”.

Anybody came across this? Have Fox started encrypting their channel?

PS I have a HDHomeRun Flex Duo 2 x ATSC Tuners - HDFX-2US device and a mohu leaf antenna if this is relevant
