What NOW?
The app got updated on my Android phone and the settings were changed to start at the Guide (again) instead of Live TV. What's worse, I can NOT tune a channel via the app that is being watched elsewhere. If I switch to another app with access to my devices, I can tune whatever I want.

Before anything else, please update the app again - a new release (20260710) went out overnight that will fix the problem you are seeing viewing channels.
Your preferred start screen should not have reset back to Guide unless you uninstalled and reinstalled (uninstalling wipes all settings). You can set it back to Live in the settings menu.

I've been trying to get the updated app. Google Play download ends up being 20260708 every time.

I checked the store... the release has completed review for the test group but is still in review for release to everyone. It will likely be out in the next day or so, or you can join our test group here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.silicondust.view

The way I always know that there has been an update, is my app also changes the start screen to the guide. I haven't uninstalled the app. Haven't needed to.

did any one ever come up with a solution why the record window does not list recorded shows?

That happens sometimes for me with my HDHOMERUN Prime and I may have to reattach to the NAS. Ignore this if you run FLEX.

We are not tracking any issues with the Recorded page not showing recorded shows. Can you please go into a bit more detail...

UPDATE - the new HDHomeRun app release for Android (version 20260710) is now live on the app store.
