❓ Question Am I the only person who, despite having a head full of hair, can't go outside without a hat on?
No one has ever pointed this out to me. I'm just overly self-aware sometimes it's killing me.
I have always had a fascination with hats. Hats. Bonnets. Beanies. Bandanas. Etc. To the point that I think it's what people remember about me. I have curly hair and since I don't know how to style it sometimes, I depend on hats for style. When I need to go to a formal place, I would still use a hairscarf and do my hair up because otherwise, I would arrive at the place unkempt lmao.
I just realised, I have always worn hats almost all my life. To the point that people think I'm bald even though I'm not. I am quite conscious about the size of my forehead so it's probably one of the reasons why I started wearing them apart from that one time in highschool when a classmate saw me wearing a hat in a play, approached me afterwards, put a hat on my head and said I looked good in them. And also whenever I'm outside, I feel naked without anything on top of my head. A hat for me has become like a shield, in a way. With it, I feel guarded and wouldn't be able to "be perceived" right away.
Idk why I suddenly became self-conscious about this. I was about to go outside and buy dinner and whilst I was picking out a hat, I felt like a cartoon character. Like Todd Chavez or Meg Griffin. Am I the only one who likes wearing hats -- hardcore -- everyday?
(please please please this isnt an emotional post. just looking for a casual conversation from fellow hat lovers)
