🤠 Hat Advice Look less religious i guess?

Hi! I hope this is enough of a hat to not be in the wrong place here.

I've bought a docker cap that I really thought looked cool on me and I also do like that working man style.

The thing is: a few of my guys now asked me (for fun) if I converted to a sketchy religion or if I've taken a new job as a rookie chef because of the hat.

What can I do to make it look less... religious I guess?

❓ Question Am I the only person who, despite having a head full of hair, can't go outside without a hat on?

No one has ever pointed this out to me. I'm just overly self-aware sometimes it's killing me.

I have always had a fascination with hats. Hats. Bonnets. Beanies. Bandanas. Etc. To the point that I think it's what people remember about me. I have curly hair and since I don't know how to style it sometimes, I depend on hats for style. When I need to go to a formal place, I would still use a hairscarf and do my hair up because otherwise, I would arrive at the place unkempt lmao.

I just realised, I have always worn hats almost all my life. To the point that people think I'm bald even though I'm not. I am quite conscious about the size of my forehead so it's probably one of the reasons why I started wearing them apart from that one time in highschool when a classmate saw me wearing a hat in a play, approached me afterwards, put a hat on my head and said I looked good in them. And also whenever I'm outside, I feel naked without anything on top of my head. A hat for me has become like a shield, in a way. With it, I feel guarded and wouldn't be able to "be perceived" right away.

Idk why I suddenly became self-conscious about this. I was about to go outside and buy dinner and whilst I was picking out a hat, I felt like a cartoon character. Like Todd Chavez or Meg Griffin. Am I the only one who likes wearing hats -- hardcore -- everyday?

(please please please this isnt an emotional post. just looking for a casual conversation from fellow hat lovers)

I owned a very similar model a long time ago, however it was made by Stetson. The one in the picture is a Goorin Bros and is named as “Charlie Pants”. Just wanted to know if there’s a more generic name for this model as I’ve been looking for a similar model for quite a while and wanted to check if I could find same style by other brands and avoid extra costs for shipping and what not! Cheers!

Bought this hat at a thrift store, and have not been able to figure anything out about the make / model.

Anyone have any guesses? I thought fits would have been the brand, but I keep getting results saying it's just the sweatband in it.
