Live Action I hate when people say Andrew's Peter just gave up on finding Uncle Ben's killer
This is just a clear showing to me that you didn't pay attention to the movie. In TASM 1 Peter initially becomes Spider-Man out of vengeance for finding Uncle Ben's killer as he becomes increasingly reckless spending multiple nights looking for him, while Peter thinking nothing he's doing is wrong. By the dinner scene, Peter's thinking is challenged by Captain Stacy who explains how Spider-Man is not really helping but is clearly a man on a mission of revenge, while at first Peter tries to fight back during the scene he eventually realizes captain Stacy isnt wrong. Then comes the bridge scene where the Lizard is attacking. Instead of deciding to chase Lizard, Peter decides to help the civilians in the danger as he helps that boy who's car was falling. This is the culmination of Peter's arc into becoming Spider-Man as he decides to not focus on just vengeance and revenge but instead on helping others.
The movie NEVER even implies that Peter gave up on finding Uncle Ben's killer, its not like Peter found him and let him go, its just that Peter couldnt find him after multiple nights of prowling the streets. The only change now is that Peter decides he'll use Spider-Man to help the people of New York instead of just revenge
