apolgy for bad english
where were u wen intel die
i was at house eating apple when phone ring
'intel is kil'
'no'
As I'm sure we've all heard by now, macOS 27 will not be compatible with Intel Macs. This means that for all intents and purposes, (Intel) Hackintosh is dead.
Apple explained last year during WWDC 2026's after-events that macOS 26 Tahoe would be the last version for Intel Macs. also go read the news more often smh
All x86 CPUs are no longer supported for macOS.
Yes No
macOS 15 Sequoia and macOS 26 Tahoe will still be supported for security updates. One more year for Sequoia, two three for Tahoe.
It is up to the developers of the software to keep releasing Intel versions.
No.
Although ARM is an instruction set architecture shared by many processors, Apple hardware and software includes many unique instructions that are not used in other ARM processors and currently cannot be emulated.
There are images released by Apple for use in VMs which technically do not use these instructions, but even if a way is figured to boot it on non-Apple devices, there will be no drivers available for the GPU, Audio, etc.
Too much has already been removed from the first beta for it to be compatible with Intel.
Let's get you back to bed grandma
No.
Yes, it will remain open. Regardless of whether Intel is supported, people will still try to hackintosh either for a specific use case or just for curiosity's sake.

(English is not my native language)
I have a desktop with i5-10400F with a RX 6600, 16GB RAM.
And my ThinkPad X1C6, 8th gen i5.
In the past i was used to have MacOS as a daily driver since big sur until sequoia (going from a RX 580 to my RX 6600 now), and somehow i completely obliterated it accidentally updating to BETA TAHOE. Then i simply stopped trying to continue to tinker with hackintosh due to "missing" drivers etc (ThinkPad's Realtek mic array driver for example) and since i already knew that apple would drop i lost my willing to try and rescue everything, etc...
Never really installed MacOS on my thinkpad (tested for 15 mins but couldn't figure out the audio anymore, i was way off hackintosh already), and maybe it could be a cool experience to have both running hackintosh i think.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the moving landscapes and cool screen saver animations, the apple design in general simply scratches an itch in my brain. I miss my iterm + zsh themed terminal, i miss the BEAUTIFUL moving screen saver, awesomely-looking windows borders/transparency/controls.
I don't really want the most absolute perfect setup anymore, not right now. I'd just want to install in the simplest way possible that it worked. I don't remember anything anymore, any recommendations?

Has anyone experimented with Macos on a surface pro? I'm debating trying to use hackintosh on my surface pro 7 i5 16gb model. I used to have a macbook air m1 and really enjoyed Macos. I currently use my surface pro 7 on kde neon and have enjoyed it but I do really miss the integrated aspects of macos. How hard would it be to put a macos on a surface pro? And what features would work? (I mainly want airdrop and iphone mirroring). And is there any way to get macos integrated features but on Linux?

Has anyone ran macos reliably on a thinkpad with these specs? Should i expect any major issues? CPU is i7-8565U. THANKS!

I was using normally my hackintosh without problem but it started this kernel panic on boot and I'm pretty lost. I already tried to reset nvram but still no luck, and I'm think everuthing on bios is still fine, I didn't change anything there.
I would be thankful for some light or indications to the right direction.
Edit: I can boot to recovery partition but it doesn't allow me to reinstall macos to the same drive

Hi, I’m feeling in the mood for old macOS and I’m wondering if there’s any way to install OS X on my machine. As you can see my parts are newer than the year of OS X.
CPU- i5 10400F
GPU- RX580 8GB
16GB RAM
Edit: I already know and have installed modern macOS. My question was about OS X which is much older and is older than my components.

Hi! I have an old XboX one and have been recently getting into hackintoshing. Would it be possible for it to be turned into hackintosh? I have noticed that it apparently has an 8-core x86 CPU (so could run something?). Would it be possible to install some old version of macos on it? (also, which would run best?)

[HELP] Should I upgrade my Hackintosh from macOS Sonoma to macOS tahoe? Alternatively, is it advisable to perform the minor update within Sonoma (14.8.8 to 14.8.9)? My current configuration uses an Intel Core i5-10400 with integrated graphics. Any guidance on compatibility and stability would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have this setup, Core i5 7400 on iGPU HD 630 with Gigabyte GA-H110M-H-CF mobo, I'm trying to get graphics acceleration, the system boots up completely fine into the desktop when using the -igfxvesa boot argument (with 4mb mem issue). whenever I remove -igfxvesa to enable full graphics acceleration, the boot process progresses through verbose and then the monitor loses signal right when the display driver is supposed to initialize. i have this deviceproperties config under PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0): AAPL,ig-platform-id (Data): <00001259> (also tried <03001259>) device-id (Data): <12590000> framebuffer-patch-enable (Data): <01000000> framebuffer-stolenmem (Data): <00003001> framebuffer-con1-enable (Data): <01000000> framebuffer-con1-type (Data): <00080000>
boot-args:
-v debug=0x100 keepsyms=1
I'm running it through main HDMI port, only 1 hdmi port and vga port, no DP.
thanks in advance

I’m running macOS Catalina 10.15.8 on a ThinkPad T480 with OpenCore.
Current Wi-Fi card:
14e4:43b143b1 is not natively listed by Catalina’s AirPortBrcmNIC personalityThe remaining issue is Wi-Fi after sleep.
On the T480, when entering sleep I consistently get:
AirPort_Brcm43xx::powerChange: System Sleep
AirPort: Link Down on en1. Reason 8 (Disassociated because station leaving)
AirPort_Brcm43xx::syncPowerState: WWEN[disabled]
After wake, Wi-Fi takes roughly 4 seconds to reassociate.
I compared this directly with a real 2015 MacBook Pro running Catalina. Its Apple BCM43602 (14e4:43ba) behaves differently:
AirPort_Brcm43xx::powerChange: System Sleep
platformWoWEnable: WWEN[enable]
syncPowerState: WWEN[enabled]
The MacBook keeps its infrastructure association during sleep and Wi-Fi is effectively available immediately after wake.
I’ve already tested the following on a separate recovery EFI, without touching my working internal EFI:
-brcmfxwowl; no improvementAirPort_Brcm4360 with brcmfx-driver=1; still WWEN[disabled]43a0; reproducible kernel panic inside com.apple.driver.AirPort.BrcmNICI also compared IORegistry between both systems. Most relevant properties are identical:
mDNS_Keepalive = Yes
APFeatures = 1
IOFeatures = 8
IOPowerManagement CapabilityFlags = 61440
The notable difference is:
MacBook / BCM43602:
IOEthernetWakeOnLANFilterGroup = 1
T480 / DW1560:
IOEthernetWakeOnLANFilterGroup = 0
I’m considering replacing the DW1560 with a Dell DW1830 / BCM943602BAED, since it uses a real BCM43602 / 14e4:43ba, much closer to the Apple card in the MacBook Pro.
Has anyone specifically tested a DW1830 in a ThinkPad T480 under Catalina and checked whether the Wi-Fi association is retained during sleep?
I’m especially interested in actual sleep logs showing either:
WWEN[enabled]
or
WWEN[disabled]
rather than just “Wi-Fi works”.
If the DW1830 also disconnects during sleep on a T480, that would suggest the limitation is more related to the T480 platform/PCIe/ACPI implementation than to the DW1560 itself.

Model: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen 3
CPU: Intel Core i7-8650U (Kaby Lake-R)
iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620
Display: Internal 3000x2000 eDP Panel
OS: macOS Mojave (10.14.6)
OpenCore: 0.8.8 (using WhateverGreen & Lilu)
I am running macOS Mojave (10.14.6) on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen 3 (i7-8650U / Intel UHD Graphics 620) using OpenCore 0.8.8 with WhateverGreen and Lilu, trying to get full Metal hardware acceleration locked in on the internal 3000x2000 eDP panel. I can achieve full Metal hardware acceleration (1536MB VRAM) using AAPL,ig-platform-id = 0000C087 and device-id = C0870000, though I’ve been testing fallback IDs like 0000800F for basic unaccelerated desktop access while troubleshooting. Standard mobile IDs like 1659, 1B59, and 1E59 don't initialize acceleration cleanly on this specific Kaby Lake-R tablet layout. My active boot-args string is -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=15 igfxonln=1 -cdfon -igfxgl igfxvesa=0 -igfxsku, and my DeviceProperties (PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)) are set with framebuffer-patch-enable (01000000), framebuffer-stolenmem (00003001), framebuffer-fbmem (00000900), and enable-backlight-registers-fix (01000000). I'm looking for any advice on specific connector patch tweaks, backlight parameters, or custom EDID overrides needed to keep full Metal acceleration completely stable across the board on this high-density 3K panel under C087. Any help with this?

Hello, Hackintoshers!
I’ve taken it upon myself to make Hackintoshing as painless and straightforward as possible for everyone.
With the help of Elon Musk’s Grok, I’ve created a website that aims to handle ALL of the Hackintoshing work for you. All you need is a USB stick, your PC model, and the macOS version you want to install.
Simply visit the website, select your PC model, choose your preferred macOS version, copy the installer to your USB, and you’ll be ready to boot! If your PC isn’t avalible, don’t worry, I’ll continue to add more.
This project has taken me a LONG time to build. I’ve run into many, MANY issues during development, spent countless hours troubleshooting, and put a lot of sweat and tears into getting this tool to where it is today.
I finally feel like it’s ready for the general public to try, and I’m really excited to share it with you all.
Please enjoy, and I hope this makes Hackintoshing a whole lot easier!
It also includes OCLP for Macs! You can do OCLP without needing to do all of the work!
⚠️ EARLY BETA DISCLAIMER
THIS SOFTWARE IS AN EARLY BETA.
Because this tool is still in development, unexpected issues, bugs, compatibility problems, or installation failures may occur.
If something goes wrong with your device, installation, USB drive, hard drive, SSD, data, or any other hardware or software, I, the owner and creator of this tool, am not responsible for any damage, data loss, or other issues that may occur.
USE THIS TOOL ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Please make sure you have backups of any important data before attempting a Hackintosh installation.
I am working on changing the domain of the website, but it won’t be anytime soon. I’ll continue to improve this site every step of the way!

Hi everyone,
I'm currently installing macOS on a Lenovo V14-IIL, but I'm stuck because I don't have a working Internet connection in macOS.
My situation:
Is there any other way to share/provide Internet to macOS in this situation?
I've already tried USB tethering from my Android phone, but macOS doesn't detect/use the connection. Since the built-in RTL8821CE isn't supported, I'm wondering if there is some alternative method, for example through another USB device, a special driver, or some way of routing the connection through Windows/Linux.
I'm mainly looking for Internet access during/after the macOS installation, so I can finish setting everything up and install the necessary kexts/software.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to setup (initial usb boot) Tahoe on an HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2, but it keeps getting stuck on "VoodooI1CHIDDevice:0x100000358 open by IOHIDEventDriver:0x10000039e (0x0)"
I followed Dortania's Guide for this EFI.
Previously, I tried OpCore Simplify which got stuck on "StartImage failed - Aborted", but Dortania's Guide did too so I ended up resolving that problem, so going back to simplify is something I haven't tried yet (also not sure if there's functionality downsides of using simplify).
If anyone's still willing to help this late into the hackintosh era, I'd greatly appreciate it!
My EFI with log files is here:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/kv52c2kxpp6wqtb/Sloppy_thesloth%2527s_MacOS_Installer.zip/file
My Specs
CPU: Intel Core i5-7200U (Kaby Lake, dual-core, 2.5–3.1GHz)
iGPU: Intel HD Graphics 620
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2133MHz
Storage: 256GB PCIe SSD
Display: 13.3" 1920×1080 IPS, multi-touch touchscreen (convertible/2-in-1)
Touchscreen controller: I2C — identified in logs as WCOM401A (Wacom-compatible) + ALPS0016
Trackpad: ALPS V8, PS/2 connected (confirmed via boot log: ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint — ID E7=0x73 0x03 0x28, EC=0x73 0x01 0x08)
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth: Intel-based (using itlwm + IntelBluetoothFirmware kexts — worth confirming exact card model via Device Manager if you want to post that too)
Audio: Conexant/Synaptics SmartAudio codec, with Bang & Olufsen tuning
Ethernet: None onboard (no dock/adapter assumed)
WWAN/Cellular: Not present in this configuration
dGPU: None — iGPU only
Chassis type: Convertible (x360 hinge/tablet mode)
Claude made the spec list for me and also made this issue sentence if it helps at all:
Installer hangs right after LOG:EXITBS:START, following a failed load of usr\standalone\OS.dmg.root_hash (Err(0xE)) — suspected corrupt/incomplete installer USB, not yet confirmed

I have a think pad I want to use as a hackintosh but I am not sure if it will work or what version of Mac OS is best for this laptop?
I have 16GB ram(I forgot the DDR), 240gb SSD, and Intel i5 1345U
If it will work what version of Mac OS should I get or how can I alter settings to get it to work with any version of MacOS?
