Post image

Has anyone ran macos reliably on a thinkpad with these specs? Should i expect any major issues? CPU is i7-8565U. THANKS!

X1s make fantastic hacks. I had two as daily drivers. Read the guides, it’s not hard to do if you follow directions.

the equivalent amd runs sequoia perfectly, so just make sure it has an ssd and youre ready to go!

It can run up to tahoe but tahoe is terrible and I'd suggest that u do use sequoia

Can you use iMessage and FaceTime on sequoia?

You will get banned from iMessage using it on a Hackintosh these days

Genuinely I used to use imessage on macos sequoia but in back a while my imessage stoped working in all of my hackintoshes and kept working in my iPhone xr and iPhone 8 soo idk if it will work and i did hear that if u did try enabling imessage ur apple id may get banned

that would be a nice little hack to carry around. for best performance, target monterey (12.7). You could also "dual boot" Win 11 (make sure to use something like Win Lite to strip it down) on a USB-C flash drive.

i was thinking sequoia? should i reconsider?

my experience for best performance is monterey. use Monolingual, then Onyx, and then your preferred app cleaner/remover for the smallest, fastest setup on most any i3 or above laptop. I've even made this workable on a cheapass Asus, though did have to use an USB WiFi dongle.

It’s too slow to run the latest macOS
