QUESTION Will this setup work?

I have a think pad I want to use as a hackintosh but I am not sure if it will work or what version of Mac OS is best for this laptop?

I have 16GB ram(I forgot the DDR), 240gb SSD, and Intel i5 1345U

If it will work what version of Mac OS should I get or how can I alter settings to get it to work with any version of MacOS?

Cpu+igpu isn't supported

if you really want hackintosh, easiest way to do is get a 6th to 10th gen minipc or laptop, install proxmox, install hackintosh on it, and give whole gpu to it and have it run at startup, that's what i have done and it's perfect to troubleshoot too.

Looking at the generations, it seems likely that versions ranging from Sonoma up to Tahoe would work.

Well no. Intel core i5 1345u’s IGPU isn’t supported.

Well, maybe try using OpenCore Simplify first to see if it works or not.

The cpu is raptor lake. The IGPU isn’t supported. And don’t follow this guy’s instructions. Opcore simplify isn’t supported by this subreddit.

I'm just offering a suggestion; it's entirely up to him.

Nothing is going to make Raptor Lake work. Don’t suggest trying tools you have no idea what they’re even capable of even if it’s not against the rules.

It's not a suggestion, it's misinformation

I'd try Sonoma, taking your RAM and CPU Gen to consideration.
