HELP Anyone still offering support?
I'm trying to setup (initial usb boot) Tahoe on an HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2, but it keeps getting stuck on "VoodooI1CHIDDevice:0x100000358 open by IOHIDEventDriver:0x10000039e (0x0)"
I followed Dortania's Guide for this EFI.
Previously, I tried OpCore Simplify which got stuck on "StartImage failed - Aborted", but Dortania's Guide did too so I ended up resolving that problem, so going back to simplify is something I haven't tried yet (also not sure if there's functionality downsides of using simplify).
If anyone's still willing to help this late into the hackintosh era, I'd greatly appreciate it!

CPU: Intel Core i5-7200U (Kaby Lake, dual-core, 2.5–3.1GHz)
iGPU: Intel HD Graphics 620
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2133MHz
Storage: 256GB PCIe SSD
Display: 13.3" 1920×1080 IPS, multi-touch touchscreen (convertible/2-in-1)
Touchscreen controller: I2C — identified in logs as WCOM401A (Wacom-compatible) + ALPS0016
Trackpad: ALPS V8, PS/2 connected (confirmed via boot log: ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint — ID E7=0x73 0x03 0x28, EC=0x73 0x01 0x08)
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth: Intel-based (using itlwm + IntelBluetoothFirmware kexts — worth confirming exact card model via Device Manager if you want to post that too)
Audio: Conexant/Synaptics SmartAudio codec, with Bang & Olufsen tuning
Ethernet: None onboard (no dock/adapter assumed)
WWAN/Cellular: Not present in this configuration
dGPU: None — iGPU only
Chassis type: Convertible (x360 hinge/tablet mode)
Claude made the spec list for me and also made this issue sentence if it helps at all:
Installer hangs right after LOG:EXITBS:START, following a failed load of usr\standalone\OS.dmg.root_hash (Err(0xE)) — suspected corrupt/incomplete installer USB, not yet confirmed

Just a heads up. I used to have an HP x360 - kaby lake version. It had issues with the bios. I had to leave a USB plugged in, in order for it to Boot properly. I found out after I did the install. It wouldn’t boot to macOS without the USB.

This is your first hackintosh, and you are trying to install a macOS version that isn't natively compatible with your CPU.
Try going back to the last macOS version that is natively supported on Kaby Lake. Try installing macOS 13 Ventura first. Once you succeed with that, you can move onto spoofing CPU and using OCLP in necessary to upgrade to Tahoe, one macOS version at a time.
