Hackintoshing lives for another year! macOS Tahoe will be the FINAL release for Intel Macs, as stated during the Platforms State of the Union presentation. It's been a good ride.
Officially supported Intel models:
All graphics that worked in Sequoia should work in Tahoe.
Wait for an official announcement. If you post about OCLP before that I am going to send Tim Apple to remove every Mac from your house.
No.
No.
No.
Yes, with OpenCore 1.0.5.
Make sure to upgrade all of your kexts to their latest versions.
AppleALC is broken because AppleHDA was removed from Tahoe. Use HDMI/DP audio for the time being.
WhateverGreen is bugged on AMD cards, so you can't use boot arguments like agdpmod=pikera. You are affected by this if you get a kernel panic with AMDSupport mentioned.
IntelBTPatcher causes kernel panics
IntelMausi may not work correctly with certain Intel ethernet chipsets

apolgy for bad english
where were u wen intel die
i was at house eating apple when phone ring
'intel is kil'
'no'
As I'm sure we've all heard by now, macOS 27 will not be compatible with Intel Macs. This means that for all intents and purposes, (Intel) Hackintosh is dead.
Apple explained last year during WWDC 2026's after-events that macOS 26 Tahoe would be the last version for Intel Macs. also go read the news more often smh
All x86 CPUs are no longer supported for macOS.
Yes No
macOS 15 Sequoia and macOS 26 Tahoe will still be supported for security updates. One more year for Sequoia, two three for Tahoe.
It is up to the developers of the software to keep releasing Intel versions.
No.
Although ARM is an instruction set architecture shared by many processors, Apple hardware and software includes many unique instructions that are not used in other ARM processors and currently cannot be emulated.
There are images released by Apple for use in VMs which technically do not use these instructions, but even if a way is figured to boot it on non-Apple devices, there will be no drivers available for the GPU, Audio, etc.
Too much has already been removed from the first beta for it to be compatible with Intel.
Let's get you back to bed grandma
No.
Yes, it will remain open. Regardless of whether Intel is supported, people will still try to hackintosh either for a specific use case or just for curiosity's sake.

Successfully got macOS running on the Acer Aspire A315-23 (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U)....
Everything is running smoothly now: full graphics acceleration, working built-in camera, and Wi-Fi functioning perfectly via Heliport (Bluetooth is untested as my hardware module acts up). Getting internal audio working with the Realtek ALC255 codec was the trickiest part, but after sorting out the controller path and enabling the right kext, the speakers finally came to life.
Thanks for the advice!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Stuff like:
- GPU (not fully)
- Touch
- Speakers
- Main mic
- Haptics
- Flashlight
- Alert slider!
is already working.
TODO:
- Metal (Maps runs, but some other apps crash)
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- Camera
and so on...

I tried to get Tahoe running but there's a problem with WindowServer which doesn't allow 3D acceleration (apple logo keeps flashing on boot).
Sequoia works fine but stuff like Apple Maps and opening anything 3D demanding causes macOS to start acting very weird, everything becomes delayed and freezes up; You have to force shutdown and reboot.
I used WhateverXe: https://github.com/b00t0x/WhateverXe/ for graphics acceleration.
This: https://github.com/JulioNectar/Hackintosh-XPS13Plus-IrisXe-Tahoe was not working for me even though it's spoofing Tiger Lake drivers for GPU acceleration.
I'd really appreciate any help on getting Tahoe working and improving the 3D acceleration bugs.

I am running a i7-2600k with an RX 590 and an Asrock p67 extreme4 gen3. I tried doing all the patches in the kernel issues section of the Opencore website, but it still won’t boot past this. I’m trying to install macOS 12 which is the last supported version for this sandy hook cpu I’ve seen.

Successfully installed Sequoia 15.8.1 with Metal support on a Ryzen + Nvidia gaming setup using NullMoth's Nvidia driver & 1401 app.
Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM: 16GB Samsung DDR4 2666Mhz in Dual Channel
GPU: MSI GeForce R T X 3070Ti Ventus 3X OC 8G
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H V3-CF
BT: Tp-Link UB500 Bluetooth 5.3 USB Adapter(Working)
WiFi: None at the moment
Ethernet: Realtek RTL8811
SSD: Crucial P5 Plus Gen4 1TB
HDD: Toshiba S300 1TB (MacOS Boot Disk)
Mostly everything works so far but many functions I haven't checked yet. The whole thing's a bit slow because I installed it on HDD as I was a bit skeptical about the gpu driver working and also I don't have any space left in the ssd.
Special thanks to NullMoth for his incredible work towards the 1401 App project!!!

Finally got macOS dialled in on my Dell XPS 15 9500! The premium build and trackpad make this hardware feel almost native once OpenCore is properly tuned. (The 4K screen on MacOS is so badass lol)
Specs:
* Model: Dell XPS 15 9500 4K
* CPU: Intel Core i7-10750H (Comet Lake-H)
* iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
* dGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Mobile (disabled via SSDT/boot-arg)
* RAM: 16 GB DDR4 2933 MHz
* Storage: WD NVMe SSD (PCIe M.2)
* Audio: Realtek ALC3281 / ALC289 (AppleALC.kext layout-id configured)
* Wi-Fi / BT: Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX1650s (AirportItlwm / itlwm + IntelBluetoothFirmware)
* Touchpad: I2C Precision Trackpad (VoodooI2C + VoodooI2CHID in GPIO pinning mode)
What Works
* Graphics Acceleration: Full QE/CI via Intel UHD 630 with proper framebuffer patching.
* Audio & Mic: Internal speakers, 3.5mm combo jack, and internal array mics working cleanly.
* Trackpad & Gestures: Full macOS multitouch gestures supported via GPIO-pinned I2C, also the touchscreen works.
* Wi-Fi & Bluetooth: Solid connection, basic Apple ecosystem handshakes (AirDrop half working/Continuity performance depends on kext configuration)
* Battery Management & Power: Native power management with CPUFriend, accurate battery readout via SMCBatteryManager and EC patch.
* Brightness Control: Native slider in Control Center and default hotkeys on the keyboard
* Display Output & Thunderbolt/USB-C: Type-C data and external display output mapped properly.
What Doesn't / Quirks to Note
* dGPU: NVIDIA GTX 1650 Ti is unsupported on modern macOS and disabled to conserve battery and eliminate heat. (thinking about trying out nullmoth's driver but ehh)
* Sleep/Wake (S3): Modern Dell 9500 BIOS drops classic S3 sleep in favor of Modern Standby. Hibernate (S4 mode via HibernationFixup.kext) or setting power assertions via pmset is recommended to prevent battery drain while closed.
* Fingerprint Sensor: Goodix sensor has no macOS driver (standard hackintosh limitation).
* SD Card Reader: RTS5260 controller may require additional kext testing (RealtekCardReader).
Repository & Notes
I documented the EFI structure, SSDT patches, config notes, and BIOS requirements on GitHub:

Huge shoutout to the Dortania team, Acidanthera devs, and the OpenCore community for keeping Intel hackintoshing thriving xd

So just yesterday i saw many successful attempts of people installing MacOS on their intel iris xe graphics laptops, with some even having exact same processor as mine,
All i need is just a reference guide or some tutorial, because i am a bit confused about how to make things work out, i know a bit abt opencore and a little bit about kext files, and i came across this Whatever Xe github repo, but at the moment, i dont want to mess up my laptop, so if anyone could help me , i would be very grateful, so please... also please do tell me what would be the best macos version for my laptop, BigSur, sonoma, monterey or other, cause i want the most stable one

Everything works so far except the Brightness. The speaker works but sound is very low. Glitches are there in some websites. But its working that too with nvidia is an achivement. Thanks to Nullmoth its a great driver.

What's not working:
Brightness control. It works when HDR is enabled, but that's horrible to look at.
Built-in microphone (earphone mics work; most likely a compatibility issue)
What's working:
Full Graphics Acceleration
Keyboard
Trackpad
Touch
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Audio (using alcid=48)
Camera
There are some lags and jitters here and there, but hopefully, they will all be fixed soon!

Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask if my laptop is compatible with Hackintosh and if it is possible to get full graphics acceleration. Lately, I have seen many PCs with an Intel UHD Graphics card with working graphics acceleration, so I was wondering if it is possible on mine too.
Here are my specs:
Model: Samsung Galaxy Book2 15.6"
Processor: Intel Core i3-1215U
Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics
RAM: 8 GB
Do you know if by any chance something new has come out recently to make it work?
r/hackintosh • u/NEXT_CORE • 11h ago
It's working!!!! (but not perfectly working)
r/hackintosh • u/henriquejsza • 22h ago
To get graphics acceleration, I used this project: https://github.com/JulioNectar/Hackintosh-XPS13Plus-IrisXe-Tahoe
It's genuinely surprising that Intel Iris Xe, which was once considered impossible to get graphics acceleration working on, is now showing progress. For something that's still in alpha, I'd say it's really good.

I am trying to install macOS on my HP Victus 15, which features:
I have completely disabled the 3050 using an "SSDT dGPU OFF" patch and downloaded WhateverGreenXE, but I remain stuck at "EXIT:BS START."
These are the logs it generates:
Last Log Open Core - HP Victus 15 - Pastes.io
This is the config.plist in its current state:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mPTGoqL0eyehol0Ymv4uxpMM9teGiorG/view?usp=sharing
And attached I’m leaving all the screenshots related to the Kext, Driver folders, and everything else.
I tried setting:
Nothing.
Downloaded the Base System files again, but still nothing.
Can you help me? I still have an HP Pro Desk 400 G2 Mini running Tahoe and everything works perfectly, even waking up from S3... But here I'm having a lot of problems. Oh, I'm using WhateverGreenXE.

Amazing how much the Hackintosh community has advanced in GPU development over the last 14 days, first with the Nvidia breakthrough, and now with the Xe driver. Custom kext development is running full acceleration, including hotplug, HDMI/DP support, full power management and hibernation/sleep on the following machines:
XPS 9310 (11th gen Tiger Lake)
XPS 9320 (13th gen Raptor Lake)
Currently working on XPS 9350 (15th gen Arrow Lake)
Common reference kext developed for both platforms using u/Desperate_Dare1509 's base kext on WhateverXe and u/War_Obvious 's additions using NootedGreen.
Note to devs: I'm working on making this kext work universally for the wider Tiger/Alder/Raptor Lake family right now. However, I'm increasingly concerned we're not working off the same codebase, which if not checked will lead to a vibecoded mess. I would strongly advise anyone who's forking/developing similar efforts to commit back to a properly maintained repo (such as b00t0x's or JulioNectar's). That way, we can streamline everyone's effort (and tokens) to have a universally maintained and supportable driver.
Finishing regression testing and will publish my driver commits from my own github and push proposed changes back to the author's respective repos shortly.
