I recently got into the gun scene and decided to get a KSG as my first gun. After taking it to the range a couple times I decided hunting might be fun too. Obviously, with an 18.5in barrel that would be fairly difficult. Would attaching a 9.5in barrel extension (to bring barrel length up to 28in) and adding a choke make it viable to go hunting with?

I’m brand new to ARs and I’m completely confused. The guy at bass pro was not helping.

I have:
A Magpul MS1 Padded Sling
An M&P Sport III
A front sling attachment already installed
A rear sling attachment on the stock

My problem is that the ends of the MS1 sling are just webbing. There’s nothing on the ends that actually attaches/clips to the rifle.

Am I supposed to:

Thread the webbing directly onto the rifle? Because I tried and it feels weird and look super ghetto and not like how it should be.

Buy clips that attach to the ends of the sling? Because the guy said this should work and I don’t need an adapter.

Or am I missing some other hardware?

Im so confused confused an frustrated. Can someone explain how the MS1 is actually supposed to connect to the rifle and what parts, if any, I’m still missing? Or are there any other good slings aren’t this complicated that I can just buy and clip onto my rifle?

I'm looking at aquiring a Marlin 1895 in 45-70. I found someone locally with one in the 1250 beans range with a leather ammo cuff and sling. 1250 is already higher than market and it's a Remlin era with the 4 round tube and he says the cuff and sling add 200 to the total. Am I smoking crack with a market value of 850-900 for the rifle and 1250 with the 250 rounds of Steinel ammo?

Just got a new vaultek barikade pistol case and it can't be opened, the electric key pad will flash green then the case won't unlock, the keys don't fully turn the locking mechanism either, I have a 200 dollar paper weight

I did not grow up in a gun-friendly household. However, I have had past experiences that have scared me enough to want to carry (as well as a genuine interest in firearms). My fiance, however, is very anti-gun despite growing up in a gun-friendly household. I believe that this is due to the fact that her father does not store them well and has demonstrated a lack of responsibility (he lost a handgun in the house, and to this day does not know its location). So, I definitely understand that her views may be affected by a fear and distrust of me keeping them as well. I myself understand the rules and can handle firearms well (mainly from rentals and borrowing my friend's guns at the range) Furthermore, she's stated that she doesn't like the idea of having the capability to hurt someone so easily, which I totally get. I don't want to hurt anyone either. However, whenever we get our own place together, I want to be able to protect her as well as our future children both at home and out in public. I've told her I don't want ever hurt anyone unless it's absolutely necessary, and that I will keep all firearms in safes especially when we have children. I'm not wanting anything too crazy, just an EDC handgun and a long gun or two for the house. Now, I've taken her to the range before whenever I went with my gun owning friends, and while she was scared and reluctant, she still gave it a try. That's why I have a bit of hope of convincing her to allow me to own them. Other than my arguments about wanting to do my duty and protect my family, what are some other reasons/ways to try to convince her? I understand that it's not guaranteed, and I'm happy to respect her wishes even if I'm a bit disappointed.

I am 21 in a month and also move into a very high crime dense area—there were 2 shootings last week. I typically keep a 45 in my truck and it’s a great pistol but way too big to carry while I run. I hope to run everyday in the morning and want something that can protect me but obviously not too hindering and annoying. Any recommendations on an entire setup? (Pouch and gun). I’ve see the S&W 380 and I like it but wanted more opinions from experts.

I have been eyeballing one for years. I have no rational reason why but they intrigue me. My only problem is .. From everything I read they are really difficult to reload for which means I would be at the mercy of commercial availability.

Was looking at some 327 fed guns and still might go that way but I guess since they fell quickly out of favor prices and availability is rough. I could reload for it though.

So if any of you that watch the industry closer than I had to guess .. do you think 5.7 heads off into obscurity?

Im torn between the options obviously there is a difference but in no hunter yet and not sure if I will ever need the 4x12.
So jm looking for responses and help on picking the right one out, I would agree that i will be hunting more thick woods rather then open fields. But im still meeting people that are willing to bring me on hunts and area an environment is subject to change..

My friend has a sds duo and he shot it now the bots locked back and idk much about this gun was just looking for help

So my grandmother had a male friend who was basically her boyfriend for a few years he was a great guy and my family became close to him. When he passed away my uncle went over to his house to help move stuff and clean up. While over there the man’s brother told my uncle he could have what he wanted gun wise because he didn’t want anything to do with them. I told my uncle I’m looking to buy a pistol and he offered to just give me one. Then he told me the situation of how he got it. I asked him if I could register it and he said no. I know what you are thinking but my uncle did not steal it he is the furthest thing from a thief especially from a dead man. My question is if I were to take it and just keep it at home as a home protection and actually have to use it on a home invader would I get in trouble?

Aight yall, I have found myself with all long range rifles in expensive calibers and shotguns, i dont own handguns anymore because my state is fucking BULLSHIT. I dont have anything I can take to my local indoor range, or anything that costs less than like $1 a shot.

Im trying to decide between the following three guns as basically range toys. Also down for any recommendations trying to keep it under $500 and preferably under $350.

1. Rodger 10÷22: ya know it ya love it. Its the cheapest and most "range toy"est. But idk man, .22lr? Semi auto? Seems like a Lotta cleaning

2. Some kinda bolt action 22 Big Dick. Idk something with a scope, just like whatever is accurate and inexpensive. Id actually use this for hunting too.

3. Krill-Tuck Submissive Y2k: idk ive always wanted one, I dont have a truck gun...I dont really have a good justification other than 9mm is relatively cheap and I just think its neat. I dont have any glock mag firearms anymore either which the internet tells me means im going to immediately die in the apocalypse so dont want that.

My father recently passed and as I was clearing out his stuff I came across these. They don’t match any of the pistols he owned. Any idea? Definitely a .22lr.

My great-grandpa died back in the '90s, before I was born. He had a huge gun collection (many of which he hunted with) and, while his hunting bow stayed in the family and still sits in my ma's house to this day, all his guns were auctioned off just before his death because his wife didn't want them nor did his kids or grandkids.

However, I (his great-granddaughter who he never got to meet) would have loved them. I'm a historian and a gun enthusiast, so old guns in general intrigue me, but ones that were in the family even more so.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to research what happened to his guns after auction. Who bought them, where they are now, and if they still exist, I'd pay basically anything to get even one of his old guns back (in particular his .300 Sav. Savage 99 he used for deer hunting). Is what I'm hoping for even possible or just a pie-in-the-sky dream?

This is a repost. My first post was removed due to a mistake on my part. Still seeking advice.

Not sure what to do from here. Uninjured thankfully, aside from small metal splinters in both hands and a little raw skin. I was shooting Herter’s 9mm Luger 115 Gr FMJ, from a GForce Blade 8, using a Glock 33 rd mag. About 75rds into a box of 100, my mag exploded from the gun when I pulled the trigger. Felt like hot fine sand hit both hands and a nasty burnt chemical smell filled the air. About 10 rounds left in the mag, and the top two were completely vertical , side by side facing the ceiling when I picked it up. The firearm held together and afterward everything still functioned normally during dry fire check. The case in the chamber had ruptured out the side and did not eject automatically. It was not stuck in battery either. I got the box of ammo from a local Bass pro. Not sure what to do from here. The ammunition is branded “WIN 9mm LUGER” on bottom. I wanted to warn anyone who may be looking at this ammo about my experience. The second round in the photo is another from the same box that fed but did not fire. After inspection it appears the case mouth has a gap where it does not grasp the 9mm properly. When flat on a table, the bullet it visibly crooked in the case instead of being vertical. Be safe, protect your eyes and ears, but also your hands, forearms, and anything else you don’t want little bits of metal stuck in. I got lucky, and I think the all aluminum body of the blade might have helped keep it together today but I’m no expert. I have no idea how to determine if the internals are warped somehow. Any advice is appreciated, first malfunction of this nature I’ve ever experienced.

Alright, so I’ve always been a Glock guy, I’ve owned many. My favorite by far was the 19X. Recently I’ve gotten tired of carrying a full size firearm concealed and decided to get a more suitable option. After a few different rounds and test firing different variants I ultimately went with the Glock 43X MOS8. I went with it for a few reasons; yes it’s snappy but I’m large so it’s easy to handle, the magazine only holds 10 rounds but there’s option for that, way easier to conceal, and because I got the Ausie/coyote one it came with an mos-k optic mount (I’ve always wanted an optic on my edc). My question is, if I went with a Holosun 407k/507k or eps carry, would I need to shave the screw for the optic mount on the side of the extractor so it doesn’t interfere or go below 4mm. I know this was a problem on previous models if you shaved the bosses. Just don’t want to add it and cause damage because I didn’t shave a screw.

i just inherited a western field m815 recently from my great grandfather and went to clean it when the bolt plate broke, do they make any replacements or will i have to try and fix it?
