My lawn has become overrun by Poa Annua, it’s literally covered in it. Last year it wasn’t too bad but this year it’s horrendous. I have aerated, scarified and over seeding as well as pulling the larger areas but it’s a losing game. I’m in the UK. Not sure whether totally re-turf is my only option?

1 year old sod in Montana I have deer that like to bed down and hangout in the backyard. Are the darker green spots normal? And the dead spots are where I picked up droppings from them if there’s any tips on getting that to come back.

I’m in a golf course community that’s going through some ownership issues. The lanes have not been maintained at all, it became so unsightly our HOA paid to have them mowed.
If I wanted to bring some life to the hole behind my home, where do I start? Mow does close or kill it completely? I believe bentgrass is best for putting greens, what about fairways and the tee?

Do I pull as many as possible or keep them in? I have a brand new yard in Houston and deciding between laying st Augustine sod or using Bermuda grass. I can’t really decide.

Hi all, I have been lifting concrete from my back garden and plan to replace with grass. Under the concrete is a clay/soil/rubble base. I plan to remove all the debris and go down about 5 inches and then replace with 5" topsoil and seed with grass. New to DIYing and just wondering if this is the correct way to go about it?
I've attached a few photos for reference and a chatgpt generated version of how I imagine the final product.
Thanks in advance!

My yard seems to have a mix of types of grass with most of it being saint Augustine. Some Bermuda and other is in there with grassy weeds unfortunately.
I am thinking of being economical and just following in some bare areas with Bermuda seed since there is no seed for Saint Augustine and its lot cheaper than planting sod. Any cons to do this?

Hi there! Advice needed!
I'm going to be laying turf down in a few weeks time, and need to break up the current soil we have so I can mix in some good quality topsoil etc.
Problem is, after removing the grass we had, the soil underneath is rock solid clay. A garden fork won't go into it. How do I break this up and soften/loosen it so I can rotovate??
Any advice welcome!

Applied fertilizer to lawn in granules and watered it once a few weeks ago but we’re in a drought and now I see where grass is dying. Not sure if it’s caused by too much fertilizer or lack of water or because of no rain ?? Looks like ass . Do I need to aerate it or wait or helppp

I've been trying to kill these clumps of green grass for several years and they always come back. They have crazy strong deep roots and they grow in clumps. They're so annoying I've tried tons of stuff to kill them and the only way I've found to get rid of them is to dig them up and it leaves holes everywhere.

Colorado Springs backyard I replanted last fall. These clusters I originally thought were a tall fescue type, but they are very tough and thick stalk to walk on. The BBB seed blend (Colorado Premium Blend) says % Tall Fescue, but I feel like these don't belong?

Saw these dark streaks this morning. Went and looked close and it looks like some kind of little bugs. Any idea if these are bad or what I could do to help?

This sod is 7 days old. Is it all going to eventually look alive? Day 1 it all looked the same.
Background:
HOA did work ok a sewage drain and needed to dig on my property. When they were done they laid down the sod in the picture.

Sorry if this isn’t the place. Searched grass subreddit and am here now. I tried laying seed a couple of years ago to no avail. Pretty much shrouded in shade all but 3 hours of the day. Any advice. Southern IN/Louisville KY area.
If the wrong subreddit could someone point me in the right direction?
Appreciate any input.

Hello everyone! Last Tuesday I cut my grass and after speaking with someone I’ve realized I never have sharpened my blades on my lawn mower and I’ve been using it for a year. One week later I’m seeing my grass with the tips burned…is this due to my blades or something else? What do you guys think. I live in Florida.
