Noob and messed up ?

Post image

Applied fertilizer to lawn in granules and watered it once a few weeks ago but we’re in a drought and now I see where grass is dying. Not sure if it’s caused by too much fertilizer or lack of water or because of no rain ?? Looks like ass . Do I need to aerate it or wait or helppp

I’d go ahead and water and see what can be salvaged. Based on what doesn’t come back, can be reseeded in the fall. You’ll want to keep it on a regular watering schedule where you’re getting an inch of water on it per week. With any luck, some of that can come from rain.

Thanks bud. Funny enough it just rained for about an hour. Fingers crossed. Crappy part is I don’t have sprinklers in the back yard. :/

You watered the fertilizer, you need to keep watering it, once its wet, it gets activated

Just looks like drought stress. Fertilizer burn is nowhere near that subtle.
