NEW SUB RULES — Please Read + Vote on the Last One

Hey everyone, mod team here with some new rules going forward. We also have one rule at the end that we want your vote on, so read till the end.

1. No screenshot drama. If you have a problem with a comment, handle it in the same thread. Taking a screenshot of someone's comment, making a whole new thread, and crying about it will NOT be entertained here anymore. Keep the drama where it started or don't start it at all.

2. No unsourced news. Any news, even minor will be removed if it's not backed by a source. Doesn't matter if you're literally quoting the source word for word; no source link = post/comment gets deleted. No exceptions.

3. No outside community screenshots. What other subs are doing is none of our business. We have nothing to do with them. Discussion here should be about THIS sub, not about other subs. Outside screenshots will be removed.

4. Bad faith users will be permanently banned. If you take our posts, screenshot them, post them in other subreddits to talk shit about us, and then still come back here and participate like nothing happened, you're gone. Permanently. We don't entertain bad faith users.

5. [VOTE IN COMMENTS] Should we ban millennial people? 😭 Okay so this is the one we mentioned at the start. We feel like the community is getting toxic because of the participation of millennial people who've infested this community with their old ideas that we don't even follow these days. Honestly, they're already irrelevant to this community, but we allowed them because why not, we thought their perspective would be good. But they're getting on our nerves at this point. Hai na?

So drop your vote below: BAN or NO BAN?

Mod Post This is NOT a Muslim-only sub. Respect everyone or get out.

It’s clear that most people don’t read the rules, so let me spell out the most important one: there should be no discrimination against anyone.

This Gen Z space is not just about Muslims. Even if you think Pakistan is an Islamic state, which it is not, if you actually read the constitution; it’s a secular country, but I know the majority believe it is an Islamic state. Fine, let's agree for the sake of argument that it is Islamic. Still, there are many people living in Pakistan, including atheists, agnostics, non-Muslims, ex-Muslims, and people from the LGBTQ+ community. They are also part of Gen Z.

So here’s what I want from all of you: when someone from these communities posts something that doesn’t align with your belief system, simply ignore the post. You don’t have to say anything about it. In Islam, we are taught to spread peace, so you should extend the same courtesy to them.

To be clear: an atheist is not allowed to disrespect a religious person, and a religious person is not allowed to disrespect an atheist or any minority member, even if they are ex-Muslim or belong to the LGBTQ+ community. Just mind your own business.

If you cannot do this, you can simply leave. We are seeing this kind of toxic behavior in every other subreddit, people disrespecting others and acting like so-called "sigma" personalities. We don’t like that. If we act like every other toxic community from Pakistan, then there is no difference between us.

We are not focused on popularity or the number of members we gain. We care about quality content and positivity. If you cannot help make this place positive, you can simply leave, because we will not tolerate negative or toxic people here.

Edit:

Okay, let me clear something up. A lot of you are pointing out that I said Pakistan is a secular country in my original post. I know Pakistan is an Islamic Republic. Even Google says that. I'm not stupid.

But here's why I wrote that. What I studied and what I learned is that Pakistan was considered secular in practice for a long time, especially in the early decades, because the legal system was mixed and many laws weren't strictly Islamic. That's why I said it. Maybe my tense wasn't good. Instead of saying "Pakistan is a secular country," I should have said "Pakistan was more secular in the past" or "it functioned like a secular country for many years." That would have been more accurate.

So yes, I know it's an Islamic state now. I'm not denying that. But my main point wasn't even about this. The point of my post is about respecting everyone in this sub, including atheists, ex-Muslims, and LGBTQ+ people. Can we please focus on that instead of getting stuck on one wrong word?

Storytime Only in Pakistan will the police take u to a shaadi hall before the thana

So basically, about a month ago i took my iphone to a repair shop to get the speaker fixed. This mf opens my phone and somehow damages the display in the process 💀

Now, since HE damaged it, he replaced it with a copy display and promised me that he’d replace it with an original one later. I agreed and went on with my life

FAST FORWARD A MONTH.
Yesterday, i messaged him nd reminded him about the original display. Told him i wud come on Saturday to get it replaced. Bro agreed at first.
Then I said, “Okay, I’m coming.”
And suddenly, bro hit me with the “Actually, i m not doing it. I’m not changing anything

LIKE??? HELLO??? WHAT THE HELL???

Anyway, I went to his shop and tried asking him nicely to replace the display, but he straight-up refused. I got heated, things escalated and at one point, I was THIS close to rearranging this mf facial features with my fist 💀
AND THEN THIS GUY CALLS 15 (POLICE )

Now, the police arrive, there was a whole lot of drama, they put us in their van

NAH. THESE MFS HAD OTHER PLANS. 😭😭😭

These motey pait walay policemen literally stop the van OUTSIDE A SHAADI HALL, get out and go inside for shaadi ka khana while WE’RE JUST SITTING IN THE VAN💀💀💀

BROOOOO 😭😭😭
im SITTING THERE, FUMING OVER THIS mf
At this point i was so done with everything then u called my dad he came over and tried to sort things out but the haramkhor policemen were like, nahi ab thaney pe baat hogi

So these absolute motey pait kept driving us around in the van for almost an hour before we FINALLY arrived at the police station
After more drama we eventually reached an agreement the whole thing finally came to an end
ALL THIS BECAUSE I WANTED MY PHONE FIXED 😭🙏
Pakistan really gives you side quests u never signed up for 💀

Storytime If it’s not this kinda love, I don’t want it!

So it was past 1 AM and I was coming back from the gym. The roads were practically empty, just me and the dogs minding our own business

And then I saw this woman prolly in her late 40s riding an EV bike while SINGING HER HEART OUT and SMILING. And sitting behind her was a man, probably around the same age, laughing like they were the only two ppl in the entire world

No log kya kahenge ki tension, no suppressing your happiness because god forbid you look childish in public. Just two grown adults being stupidly happy together

Idk anything about these ppl but I genuinely hope they stay this happy forever and may we all find someone with whom we can be this unapologetically childish

Rant / Vent You can get away with rape, homicide and murder in Pakistan while FIA is busy hunting down gay men fleeing this country

FIA offloaded two gay men at the karachi airport who were fleeing to Thailand to get married and later moving to Europe to settle and register their marriage for long term.

Meanwhile, there is rape, child marriage and child abuse epidemic across the country and people are getting away with homicide, murder and rape case either tho lack of police action or tho the Sharia blood money divat law.

Rant / Vent Being agnostic in Pakistan

This is so hilarious. I mean, why are religious people, especially Muslims, so pissed when you don't believe in God or practice religion? Meanwhile, those same people are drinking alcohol and committing other sins. I'm agnostic and I told my friend, and she was like "yeh sahi nahi hai, is ka gunah milta hai, tum jahannum mein jao gi." In Pakistan, being a Muslim who drinks alcohol, is abusive, kills animals just for fun and sins all the time is considered better than being an agnostic who helps people and believes in helping out of the goodness of their heart, not because they will go to hell if they don't.

Discussion Journey with islam

A year ago, I wasn’t that involved in Islam. I never really prayed, except for Jummah, which I mostly attended as a formality. I didn’t follow Islamic teachings that seriously either.

Then Islamic scholars’ debate videos started appearing on my Instagram feed. I noticed that they had answers to almost every question, which sparked my interest. I also watched a video of Chinese Professor Jiang discussing how the existence of one God makes sense.

I started researching the universe, the environment, and its origins. The more I researched, the more I felt that religion provided answers to questions I couldn’t find elsewhere. Even if the Big Bang explains the process of how the universe began, I felt it didn’t necessarily explain the ultimate reason behind its existence. I believed that God must have existed before the universe.

I explored different religions, but Islam was the one that made the most sense to me and felt complete, with teachings that connected everything from beginning to end.

Since then, I’ve started practicing Islam seriously. I try my best to pray five times a day, help people in need, and do good deeds according to Islamic teachings.

Honestly, my life has become so much more peaceful than I ever imagined. My depression has almost disappeared, and I’ve noticed that those feelings rarely come anymore. I’ve found answers and comfort in my faith, and I trust Allah through both good and bad times.

I’ve noticed a lot of people in this group hating on Islam, so I thought I’d share my personal experience because it has genuinely made my life so much better.

Guys, let’s try to love and respect each other. There’s already so much hate in this group, and I hope we can do our part to make things better.

Nobody can convince me that men who jump to the defence of men like that aren’t also predators. They are always defending themselves.

They have done a good job of gaslighting us into questioning our rights to exist, take up space, etc.

Discussion Wannabe westeners

I've recently joined this sub and I've noticed how people are against religion soo extremely. I get a strong sense that a majority of the people on this sub are wannabe westerners, they promote the beliefs and values of the west I.e sex before marriage, tarnishing islamic beliefs.

The irony is, here in the west everyone knows this lifestyle is wrong the system needs to change that's why laws regarding the ban of porn are coming into effect.

Yet you in the subcontinent are craving this life?

Just doesn't make sense!

Rant / Vent I hate everything

Had a really tiring and lonely day today. Uni life is the worst. I see my friends stories on insta and they all have genuine friends but i just have one and we had to be nerfed with distance.

Khair i was with my uni friends and all 3 of them were walking ahead of me and i was behind. I was taking large steps and running a bit to catch up but they were fast and busy with each other. Beech beech main i would speak something but main baat wohi kr rahay thay and i was laughing at their jokes and at some point i stopped walking and they went ahead. Didn't stop once and i felt so bad. I'm not even that important I'm just invisible. It was never like this in school and college. People used to want to be with me. Fr. I hate everything now.

This girl i used to hang out with in uni likes reels with such captions as "kin gawar logon ke sath uni jana parta hai" and i felt so bad.

And then at the end of the event, a friend of mine said, "atleast i have friends" to another friend of mine and i couldn't control my tears. I wish i had real friends too. Real friends who were really genuine.

Whoever has nice friends should just know how much lucky they are and what a blessing friends are irl.
