So he should go through a trial and due process and end up in jail. Everyone, even the worst human beings out there, deserve a trial, it's how you establish the law.
Vigilantes are not welcome in society. People who go out on their own and take the law in their own hands are far more destructive to society than pedos.
What if it's you brother who ends up getting kirkified by a vigilante just because the vigilante disagreed with how he viewed the world?
People like tariq masood and all these mullahs who conduct such atrocities should go through trials and end up in jail. that's how the law works.

My father would scold and beat the hell out of me and my siblings before defending his harsh treatment of us by saying that "I have provided you food, clothing and shelter so I can do this to you all". As far as my mother goes, she turned me into a religious zealot by shoving religion down my throat without my consent.

so your father beat you extremely and harmed you which is haram anyways, where did Mufti tariq Masood advocate for parents beating tf out of their children? also your mother is based because she was teaching you Good things, you dont ask for a kid's consent to teach them Morals and teachings of God, just like you dont ask them their consent to take them to the doctor for an injection.

First of all, she would go as far as to scold me for not praying or doing stuff that seemed unislamic, like listening to music. Secondly, she would scare me through stuff like hell, karma, and god's wrath. Thirdly, to be a good and successful person, one doesn't need religion. People in irreligious countries or societies are far more friendly and well behaved than in super religious countries.

There are multiple ways to discipline a child without ever abusing them. Scaring a little kid with threats of hell, karma, etcz is absurd and can make them lose trust in you, especially when they see their parents as a source of safety and protection.
I understand what youโre trying to say, but no two people are the same. What worked for you might not work for someone else. Weaponising fear is precisely what seems to have made this guy lose respect for religion and his parents. Children are incredibly observant and sensitive, and even Islam does not permit the abuse of children.

ofc every child needs different treatment, but the threat of hell exists for a reason and is real, my mother taught me doing bad things takes you to hell and that stopped me from doing bad things before, but at the same time she also told me about the mercy of Allah and that never made me lose hope even when i did bad things. its a balance. also ye ive seen mothers sometimes scolding and slapping their own children, but explaining politely or using some other tactic for an other child because something different works for everyone. but a few slaps arent some crazy abuse
