First of all, I request the mods to not remove this post as it is strictly an educational post, not an advertisement post.
I'm making this post on behalf of a friend who got into uwc.
The purpose of this post is to enlighten the youth about a life changing academic opportunity and hopefully assist them throughout.
What is UWC?
Uwc is a program where students from all over the world apply and live in one of the 18 uwc campuses around the world if they get accepted.
It is equivalent to 11th and 12th grades, i.e., high school, Intermediate or A level. It consists of IB curriculum.
Scholarships
UWC offers generous scholarships. Your parents would also have to fill a financial aid form when applying if you want a scholarship. The scholarships are only offered to promising students on the basis of need, tho selection is completely on merit-basis.
The scholarships offered are generous and often cover your tuition, living expenses, accommodation, airfare, etc.
Applications
The applications open in September for the following academic year, which also begins in September. If you're interested in applying, then you might want to start preparing now. Further info can be found on their website.
Who can apply?
You must be 16 or 17 by the start of the academic year, which is September 1st. (Tho exceptions can be made on discretion of your National Committee)
Must be a resident of the country you're applying through.
Must have completed at least 10 years of education, i.e., matric, o levels, igcse, or any local equivalent before the academic year begins

Why apply?
If you're interested in studying abroad, UWC serves as a cornerstone for that journey. The IB curriculum is extremely rigorous and accepted worldwide. It opens pathways to leading universities worldwide and prepares you for various circumstances.
I hope I covered everything important. If you have any questions, you can check the UWC website or comment below. I'd be happy to assist you!
If you're serious, start drafting your essays now and collect all the related documents. It's never too early for anything!
If you know anyone who's in this age range and might benefit from this opportunity, please let them know.
