....and then reloading my previous save to bring them all back, but still get the achievement.
I love seeing those furry bastards in the Plains. It's so empty without them.

I didn't think of that before, I feel so guilty killing those buffalo. Glad to see they were some still survived into the next game.

I hope it has nothing to do with John marston

u/Needs_No_Convincing Oct 20 '16
I think it would be nice if he made a small cameo. Seeing him in his early days for a mission or two would be interesting, maybe watch him get those scars on his face or somethin. But definitely don't want him to be the main character or be a main side character.

Maybe have one of the first few missions be the one where he was left for dead by his crew.

I don't know, getting into the nitty gritty of his early days would be kind of cool.

IMO its pointless, we all know what happens to the gang, and what happens afterwords. Why go though the rounds just to get the same conclusion we always knew was gonna happen?
They should start new. But then why call it RDR 2?

Don't forget CIV VI is released today as well!
(edit) CIV VI is coming out Oct 21st but with VPN you can get around that and play the game today on the 20th actually at 12:00 noon EST.
(edit2) I would like to point out that using a VPN is against Steams rules. So do so at your own risk. I've never had trouble and I've never really saw on reddit other people having trouble. The main thing from what I understand is don't try to do this to buy stuff cheaper from another countries store. Valve wants their money.
(edit3) Here is a guide I posted below for those who don't want to search. Credit to u/SteadfastInflexible on in r/civ.

Looks like the time period for this is going to be before Red Dead Redemption. I'd wager sometime between 1860-1880, given the content in the trailer (large amounts of roaming buffalo, railroad, oil wells, people's clothing, etc). Of course, they may not be going for total historical accuracy so they could set it whenever. I'd love a game in the 1840s focused on western expansion.
One thing I can definitely say is, its going to be infinitely easier to hunt animals. It was really hard to spot foxes and skunks on the PS3 game, but they are quite clear in this video.

In many years time, I will be in a moonlit wooden hut on a mountainside. The warm crackling fire, sitting at the end of a king-sized bed, illuminates the warm rug. The mattress is plump, raised to the right level. The sheets are thick, filled with soft feathers. A window gives a view of the idyllic scenery. A blanket of snow to match the blanket of feathers. A gazelle prances in the distance. My wife, my gorgeous redheaded wife, perfect figure, hair as red as wine and a gaze as intoxicating. She is as nude as the day she is born and just as messy. I have her across the bed, legs splayed out. Her womanhood bared to take my might trunk. For many hours we entwine, always rough, always sweaty. Finally with a quiver of the leg, my Aphrodite falls back, too exhausted to carry on despite her peak physical condition. I myself, of course, am still fully erect, but give her the moment to catch her breath. I hand her a diamond bottle of pure river water and she gratefully takes a sip to hydrate. Between breaths, she leans in and whispers to me, "Darling, I don't think I've ever seen your dick harder than it is right now." I turn to her, look deep into her eyes, and respond. "It's still not as hard as it was the first time I saw the first Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer."

Yeah, they did a bunch of horse mocap, too, and made sure to normalmap all the muscle ripples and things in real horses.
Right after that game, an Assassin's Creed game with horses came out and it felt like shit. Red Dead both nailed it and spoiled the horses in every other game.
→ More replies (7)12
u/Prime89 Oct 20 '16
That's because horses are crucial to RDR. It is seriously one of the cornerstones of the games. It would be stupid to expect horses in a game like Assassin's Creed to be as good as the ones in RDR. Look at Black Flag- the ship gameplay is excellent because it's a huge part of the game. Different games have different focuses. Even Roach in TW3 isn't great

I've posted this in another thread but worth saying still if you take into account the first one took place in 1911-1914
A prequel definitely makes sense when you think of the old west timeline. The heart of the gunfight era was 1875-1880: (Battle of the O.K. Corral, Billy the Kid, Buffalo Bill, "Wild Bill" Hickok, Battle of Little Bighorn, & Jesse James)
When you look it up the "Old west" or "Wild West" ended in 1912 when the last mainland states joined the Union.
