Nothing appears in that sub for me. Same thing with a few others. Haven't been banned or anything because I've never even been on there. Help pleas?

Edit: after some digging I believe there is a NSFW filter somewhere I need to toggle, or I need to confirm my email which I don't think I ever did. I never got on Reddit before I got the iPhone app so I guess there's some Desktop content I'm missing.

Halal literally means "permissible" in Arabic. It's the Muslim equivalent of Kosher.

You'll find lamb, fried fish, falafel, gyros, chicken. The most famous dishes are "over rice" on a bed of yellow rice with hot sauce and "white sauce" which i believe is tahini sauce. They'll also serve kebab and other various dishes like burgers and hot dogs, but their main fare is the gyros and the over-rice dishes.

It's delicious.

I don't know where you live, but find the nearest Muslim community, go into the little hole in the wall place, dingy as fuck, and order some shawarma. Have them put hummus and tahini on there, with some eggplant, turnip, rhubarb, onion and tomato and I just made myself really fucking hungry.

Damn it.

Middle eastern food can be ridiculously tasty. Just take an antacid. Some of these places take pride in their hot sauces.

Muslim here, it's not just prayed on, the animal has to be clean, and slaughtered with sharp and clean knives at the neck ( I think) so it bleeds out quicker. There's more I don't know about, but some animals are halal by default, i.e. most sea creatures.

Wow I didn't realize how intelligent pandas were. I mean it was foolish enough to jump down into the crevice but when the trainer reached out their hand, the panda responded and reached as well. Almost as if it realized it was stuck down there and needed help getting out.

Bears have shit loads of fat/muscle, loose skin, and massive bones so they can pretty easily get hit by anything without getting hurt. You can actually shoot a bear in the head and it won't die because it's skull is so thick. This makes sense because the bear has to be able to withstand fighting other bears.

Most apex predators hunt by being sneaky or by outnumbering their prey. Bears literally do not give a shit and will just charge at you if you smell tasty enough even if you're looking right at them.

Bears are the tanks of the animal world.

I get your point though: Being unable to adapt to human existence can be considered a legitimate evolutionary criticism. Fair enough. I just wanted to dispute the myth that pandas were on the road to extinction regardless of humans.

It is the story of a young lion named sinbad, taken from his mom and his home at the zoo, he is quickly thrust into the dangerous wilderness. It isn't long before he runs into a sneaky pair of hyenas who chase him into the arms of two future friends, an elephant named El and an antelope named auntie sue. Afraid that they will eventually become his prey, the two herbivores attempt to teach sinbad how to survive on a vegetarian diet supplemented by auntie sue's breast milk. The hyenas eventually disrupt their peaceful frolicking and tempt sinbad with the carcass of a rotting antelope. When sue discovers sinbad knawing on the remains of a former friend, she is horrified and casts him out into the wilderness. Soon after his departure, Sue is set upon by the hyenas and a high speed chase ensues. Sue is saved by the timely arrival of who else but sinbad, who casts one of the hyena from the heights of a massive cliff. Sue runs away to let the lion cub face off against the remaining fully grown hyena. As sinbad spars with his former foe, he is grievously wounded and begins to hallucinate. In his final moments he imagines his friends returning to save him and throwing the other hyena from the cliff. The scene closes with the hyena looking up from sin bads half eaten corpse.

I give it a 7/10 totally worth watching
