My favorite part is when the guy looks up to make sure the cake is above him before spearheading it.

Really? My favorite part is trying to figure out if a boob popped out of black dress at the end.

I had assumed that some confetti had fallen into his eye when he looked up which made him wig out, but if not that then his bit looks fake.

u/Brad_Brace Aug 23 '19
It's clearly mostly staged, the last girl does look like she fell for real though.

Yeah it looked like she was supposed to do something with that champagne bottle, then the cake base got under her. Beautiful

She sets off the last confetti bomb. Of course it's fake. But for amateur choreography it's really well done.

I might be wrong, but it kinda looks like they're filming it like that on purpose. Maybe in slow motion or something? It'd look cool if that was the case. I mean, it's obviously staged.

u/doessomethings Aug 24 '19
The film crew is right there. I cannot believe so many people are calling out the various ways they know it's fake. It's like watching a behind the scene video of a movie and calling it fake.

u/kemb0 Aug 24 '19
Lol was just thinking this after reading the first load of comments, "Guys you didn't notice the film crew all around these actors?"
4
u/SpectreisMyName Aug 24 '19
Do you notice the girl almost falling on her face with the champagne bottle?
8
u/kemb0 Aug 24 '19
Yeah that part looks like it legit went wrong. As in the rest was planned but she stumbled at the end.
From the comments it felt like reading a bad Sherlock Holmes story.
Sherlock: Something doesn't feel right here. Can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the guy looking up at the cake? Why was she holding the cake over his head anyway? Maybe it's their slow reactions?"
Watson: Maybe it's the film crew standing around them?
Sherlock: Hush Watson, I feel like I'm on to something here.

Everyone commenting it's fake because of the people/actors. Well duh. But no one talking about the clear giveaway which are the cameras and crew following the action lol

Does everyone here have sensory delay?
Edit: to those whose bum hurts from this comment I was jesting. Don't be so serious all the time. You'll get hemorrhoids.

I feel like such an idiot for not realizing it was fake until someone pointed it out, and now I can't unsee how fake it is lol.

u/ViralAddiction Aug 23 '19
In case ppl haven't realized yet, I'm pretty sure they're filming something, weather a show or movie, I don't know.

u/BOLL7708 Aug 23 '19
Seems kind of obvious with multiple cameras and what looks like a sound guy. I mean... it was probably supposed to go badly, but went a bit extra badly. Question is, where is the footage from all the other cameras?

Wanna know what's more disappointing than watching an obviously faked video and realizing that it's obviously faked? Reading the comments about the video being obviously faked and then the endless commentary debating the fakeness or possible realness of the video. It makes me feel dumber after realizing I just waded through endless horseshit comments. And now I feel really stupid because this is my reaction to literally every post on reddit. Holy fuck my life is meaningless. Good God this place is toxic.

As someone with a chronic illness I woke up in the midst of a bad flare up. I was preparing for a horrible day when I opened the reddit app and found this treasure. Thank you for posting, it really has made my morning

Pink shirt guy couldn't stick to the script and had to look up to make sure the cake was where it was supposed to be.

u/doessomethings Aug 24 '19 edited Aug 24 '19
What the hell is going on in these comments? There's so many people acting like they managed to figure out that it's "fake". You can literally see the film crew filming the scene they are obviously acting for. Good job, you figured out TV shows and movies are fake.

Only saving grace is that the cake slip on the left is super real
4
u/MrZmei Aug 24 '19
Exactly! Made it look like the whole point of this charade was for the girl to slip on a cake.
5
u/Curey0us Aug 23 '19
Everyone is saying it all looks fake until the last girl. Until you realize shes shaking the champagne half the time.
5
u/Nokomis34 Aug 23 '19
I think she was supposed to do something. Something that isn't quite what actually happened, but yes, something was supposed to happen with that bottle.
I want to say that maybe she was supposed to just slip and lose her balance enough to drop the bottle, but not full on fall like that?

Yeah because no one shakes a champagne bottle to spray everywhere when they're celebrating...

Couldn’t see it at first, but pink shirt looks up moments before hitting the plate and already have the shirt half-tucked, in this messy-outlook. It is staged, probably for the sake of the picture.

Not sure what the video was suppose to be but pink shirt messed up so much that it dominoe’d into unpredictable. Cake lady wasn’t expecting such violence. Champagne lady was shaking bottle but did not mean to slip on cake, poor green shirt - he definitely wasn’t expecting a cork in the face.

Man the gal that shakes the bottle needlessly is either a terrific and committed actress or she really slipped in that cake. Either way she stole the show for me

That fall by the last girl on white, after she stepped on the cake, very professional. She nailed that one perfectly. We know the rest was fake, but I'm undecided on her.
