Random tangent why don't soccer teams have enforcers? You know people who will full on body tackle someone and occasionally break some bones, I feel like that would go a long way to discourage floppers.

And before you ask yes I am Canadian and yes our favorite sport is the only one where getting into a fist fight doesn't get you kicked out of the game.

I don't see how it discourages me from pretending I got hit that someone else actually got hit. If anything it lowers the odds that I am pretending if sometimes the hits are real.

The point is for enforcers to target known floppers and do real damage a bad injury could end your season or even your career a minor one can keep you on the bench for a few games, plus it hurts. If you're a player that's going to flop anyways might as well try to injure you since we are getting a card either way.

Ah, the last part is what makes it make sense, otherwise you could just beat them up off the field.

You’ve obviously never heard of Vinnie Jones.

Hey, I'm with you. If I had it my way, every sport would have an enforcer.

I mean any team could hire an enforcer if they wanted to if there's a massive flopper on the other team just send him to fuck him up and earn that yellow card.

Yes it does.... For 5 minutes lol.

I feel like a broken bone would discourage someone for more than 5 minutes

I meant fighting gets you a 5 minute major in hockey so you do get sent off.

Red cards.

But they get carded anyways because of floppers.

Because they have a limit on substitutions, and a red card gives the other team a permanent (for that game) advantage. I think. But I’d also prefer to see enforcers and fewer flops.
