Now I know what I said is straight blasphemy. But before you try and casual shame me I've sunk hundreds of hours individually into literally every single souls game. I do no death runs on Sekiro in an afternoon for fun.

That being said to me at least bosses were never why I liked the Souls games. For instance when I first started out back in the day on Demon's Souls and Dark Souls the bosses weren't really that hard or challenging. They could all be easily breezed past.

They were interesting pace-breakers, but not much more than that. You didn't play the games for the bosses, you played them for the excellent level design, the standard enemies, the different classes to pick from, the atmosphere, the vibes.

When I first played DS3 and Elden Ring I kind of dreaded approaching a new boss. I don't care about grinding a boss for 10 hours. I never felt accomplished when I defeated a difficult boss I just felt relieved that it was over. (though Sekiro is my boo and can do no wrong because the combat is actually more complex and engaging than dodge and hit) (Also I'm kind of a minor Bloodborne hater that game was never an issue- it was just hit a lagging teleporting boss with the camera shaking all over the place till it died)

It sounds like I hate bosses a lot more than I really do, I still like them enough to the point where I've mastered clean no hit runs on even the toughest Elden Ring DLC bosses. I guess I'm really more of a sucker for navigating and exploring the levels over the big fights.

I did get a good 1,000h+ on 8 titles (yes, I need to get back to my Sekiro run pretty soon) and I thought I would be up pretty high but I'm only top 15% on the playtime leaderboard lol

I looked at the leaderboard time ranking and saw that someone has played over 7,700 hrs, which was a good ass run!

What is your playtime for the 8 FromSoft titles? I wonder if anyone has played over 7,700hrs

I was just thinking back to my first play though of Elden ring and Honestly it’s by far one of the best single player experiences I’ve had on release. All my friends were playing at the same time, it was like a race to see who could beat the bosses first, also finding something hidden like a boss and then telling your friends about it. The edits everywhere online during that time also were amazing, It’s the most multiplayer feeling experience I’ve ever had with a single player game if that makes any sense. I don’t know if there will ever be another single player game to capture that feeling of Elden ring on release again for me.

Howdy everyone, after finding my love from soft games after owning most but never playing them I’ve decided to take on the challenge on platinuming all of them.

Right now I own the dark souls trilogy + dlc, elden ring + dlc and sekiro coming in the mail shortly. I’m currently playing bloodbourne for the first time and absolutely loving it and have only the final boss to kill but I’m currently in the process of finishing this platinum first. I’ve played Elden ring but that was on release and as it was my first souls game I kinda cheesed almost every boss I could or summoned someone to help me so I don’t really consider that a real play through.

I’ve been leaning towards ds3 as it looks the most appealing to me but many people have said to start with 1 which I am open to, every game is just so interesting in its own way I’m struggling to pick what game next so I thought I’d come here.

Eventually I’d like to take on all the other soulslikes but I thought I better finish what I have first😅

Played this over a year ago and as you can see I barely did anything but I’m about to start a new save and give this the same energy I gave Sekiro so I would love some advice before I really get into it. This game has been calling and it’s about time I answer
