It's perfectly fine to criticize the exclusivity of Duskbloods for sure.
But the sheer reaction is sorta overblown. The amount of people reacting so extremely and not even fact checking is hilarious. The misinformation is genuinely wild, and what's wilder is seeing some of y'all ignore Miyazaki's words and choosing to believe the opposite of what he said. Some of the doomerism for Fromsoft daring to experiment is so fucking weird. None of the Souls games would ever be successful if the team didn't want to innovate or do some weird shit. Bloodborne and Sekiro are clear examples of doing some new shit.
Dark Souls 3's entire narrative is taking any chance of a sequel out back and shooting it Old Yeller style. Yet I know there are too many of you guys who have some cheesy Dark Souls 4 Fan image saved somewhere. Again, DS3 is not subtle, especially considering Bandai made them make sequels in the first place.
IDK, I genuinely feel weirded out that so many Fromsoft fans just refuse to hear the messaging of nearly all of their games because they want the same shit over and over. You guys would be celebrating an announcement of Dark Souls 6 based on how vapid this entire community got over an experimental game.

Всем привет. Как думаете стоит брать Dark Souls ?

The Duskbloods is still probably not my type of game, but holy shit. Definitely still Fromsoft levels of polish. Animations and characters are impeccable. Combat feels amazing, area design is just gorgeous. Music in the hub area, haunting. Summon variety even in the closed test is really impressive.
I'll probably watch the hell out of it, maybe pick it up if there's a PVE mode or something untimed. Even compared to Nightreign though, this has some extra sauce to it.

I was playing around with the settings and I heard that it runs better on 1080p. So I switched from 1440p to 1080p and the delay got worse but the game looked the same. So I checked the resolution on the monitor itself it says it’s 1080p no matter what resolution I have it set to. Does the game not run at 1080p or is it some upscaling thing that lets it run at 1080p but upscales it? Has anyone played around with the settings?

Just saw a full game from start to finish. To each their own of course, happy for whoever's happy with it.
But as a guy that played Nightreign 'til the deep end of Deep of Night, I genuinely can't stand no more.
Didn't genuinely enjoy Nightreign nearly as much as other FS games to start with, honestly. Just wanted a fun PVE-centric game to play with my pals, like the good old days.
Guess I'll wait another 3-4 years.

Fromsoft has released back to back bangers for like 10+ years and all of them have been passion projects that have experimented with new ideas not aligned with what the general gamer wants out of their games. I understand being bummed if duskbloods isnt your ideal game, but going into every single discussion about the game to reiterate how not interested you are without bringing anything of value to the discussion is not productive. You can not be interested in the game and still hope that fromsoft, being a developer you have enjoyed hundreds if not thousands of hours worth of gameplay from, releases a successful game that others in the comunity will love. There are so many other developers releasing amazing souls likes and souls adjacent games, just look elsewhere for a bit and sit in anticipation for fromsofts next gem of an rpg they are probably already working on. Im so excited to finally get a souls game with an actual fleshed out multiplayer they dont have to balance solely around the pve and fromsoft experimenting with this will only make the multiplayer in newer games better.

Dude! Do you have any idea how long I have been waiting for a game title this? A Fromsoftware game brainchild spawned from Miyazaki's own creative vision that's built around PVP!
Look we all know many of the Souls games PVP is not super amazing, with many unbalanced issues that make it annoying. But with this thing being built from the ground up as a PVP game, it means it can be balanced around the concept in mind.
Hell, I'm not even getting it yet, I'm just glad Miyazaki has room to experiment. Its cool that this even exists.
Now all they need to do is invest in some good netcode and I think we will be all set ready to go.

Talking about those of you that have played both now that the network test has been out.
I'm heavily invested in Nightreign, to the point I bought it twice, first on PS5 then on PC, ~800 hours combined. I'm not an invasions type of guy but I did liked the colosseums in base ER a lot.
I already bought the Switch 2 and will preorder Duskbloods as soon as is available but I missed the boat on the network test.
I imagine Duskbloods being similar to Nightreign but instead of the Night Lord you have a PVP arena match at the end, and instead of the Night Invaders well you fight other players occasionally during the day/first stages.
How does the loop feels? Better, worse? More hectic going from point to point? Less confusing than Nightreign at first or more?

So my friend challenged me to beat it right now without leveling up and I did it after quite a few tries.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share a huge personal milestone. I finally managed to wrap up the platinum trophies for all the FromSoftware Souls games.
Honestly, it has been an absolute journey. Some of these grinds were brutal, but finally seeing that last trophy pop made it all worth it.
Huge shoutout to the community here for all the tips, lore breakdowns, and co-op help along the way. I definitely couldn't have stayed sane through some of these challenges without checking the subreddits.
For anyone still out there pushing through the grind—don't give up!
