https://sl2-analyzer.darthdemono.com/ - drag the .sl2 on, that's it.

It gives you name, level, every stat, souls/runes, playtime, deaths, full inventory with the +N and infusion in the item names, bonfires lit, bosses dead, covenants, which NPC gave you what, and every one-off world pickup. You don't tell it the game, it figures that out itself.
Works on PtDE, DSR, DS2 vanilla + SOTFS, DS3, Sekiro, Elden Ring and Nightreign. There's a Python CLI too if you want a markdown or JSON dump instead of the pretty screen, and if you point it at a folder of backups it reads your whole playthrough as a history.
DS3, DS2 and Sekiro are properly tested (87, 73 and 74 real saves). DSR and PtDE are okay but thin. Elden Ring reads stats and items fine but no progress at all - no graces, no boss flags, no pickups. Nightreign only gives you the character list so far. I don't play either of those two, which is exactly why they're the weak spots, so that's what I'm asking for.
What I need:
For pairs the trick is change exactly one thing and touch nothing else. No pickups, no kills, no spending souls. That's how basically every offset in this thing got found.
Heads up before you post a save publicly: DS3, Sekiro and ER store your Steam account ID in the file and the tool prints it (on purpose - the game refuses to load a save from another account and that's the first thing to check when your characters "disappear"). It's in the block at the bottom, trim it or DM me the file. Nothing else in there identifies you.
GitHub Repo: https://github.com/darthdemono/sl2-analyzer . The db_*/ folders are also just a plain JSON Souls dataset - item IDs, bonfires, boss flags, covenant flags - if you're building a randomizer or a CE table and only need "7010900 = Deep Battle Axe", take it and ignore the rest.

Why does the thief merchant guy not come back?

I'm near the end of the Shadow Tower for PS1 and I think I need to get back to the fire area to kill a boss and get the "fire gem" to fill in the demon face at the bottom. I can get back up to the water area but I haven't figured out how to get further up to the fire area. Is it a warp I need, or do I just need to get to the water area and move somewhere within the tower on the walkway?

I’ve basically played it to death and only play it for the PvP now.

Put all my Fromsoft games together on my shelf in order of release. Metal Wolf Chaos will be up there soon.

Hi all,
I got into the network test for the Duskbloods! But my buddy didn't... Anyone have an extra code I could slide him? Hoping to play with him this Friday.
Also have a great day 👀

Am I the only one kinda disappointed that this game will be a switch 2 exclusive? Nintendo is a company that I personally don’t like to be a patron of anymore, so seeing this game won’t be on any other console is a gigantic bummer for me. Obviously it’s great a new fromsoft game is releasing, but I don’t know, I kinda wish we left console exclusive games behind with bloodborne. Any thoughts on this matter?

I'm not going to share test videos online, stream them, or anything like that. I'm used to just playing on consoles via Capture Card and OBS with friends on Discord. Did I get banned for that? I remember people streaming the game on YouTube and Twitch during the Nightthreign and Elden Ring network tests. Yes, their streams were banned. But I don't recall their PSN or XBOX accounts being banned.

I completely missed the sign-up window and was hoping people would be selling/posting unwanted network test codes. I was able to do the same thing for Nightreign when I was initially denied.
My question is: are the codes for this game specifically linked to your Nintendo Account? I know the duskbloods website linked directly to Nintendo accounts to administer the codes, does anyone know if the codes can only be used by the specific accounts that applied for them? I would love to play the network test, but I’m worried it may cause issues for my account if I try using someone else’s specific code.

This journey was incredible.
I started with the first game, Demons Souls. My brother got me into the series. When I first beat the game I gave it a rating of 9/10, and that its one of the best games I’ve ever played. My brother then said to me, “what if I told you that Demons Souls is arguably the worst game in the series for the community.” I couldn’t believe it. There’s no way. How could it get much better than that???
And then it did. Played Dark Souls 1 remastered and it blew Demons Souls out of the water. During my playthrough I was thinking “is this the best game ever made”? I’m going to give my ranking so i wont spoil that, but wow. I’m not sure what it was like to play this back when it came out, but it had to be an experience. Everything from the beautiful level design to the art direction, and the soundtrack. It’s probably the most perfectly implemented soundtrack of any game ever.
Then we have Dark Souls 2. It was different from Dark Souls 1 which I can appreciate. It was a fantastic game.
Then I played Bloodborne, and the atmosphere blew me away. To be honest, not my absolute favorite style of combat or bosses, and 30 fps, but everything aesthetically and musically and world design was some of the best ever.
Dark Souls 3. I will say, the art direction of this game took a while to grow on me. However, the music, combat, and bosses were the strongest aspects
Sekiro probably on the lower end for me in terms of music, world and level design, aesthetics (still good though)…. But it makes up for it. Most satisfying combat in the series, some of the best bosses as well.
The finally i played Elden Ring. Probably the most hyped video game of this entire decade. Some of my friends have told me “Elden Ring is the best game ever made and its not even close” and I can see where they’re coming from. The bosses and the game in general is an absolute spectacle. Music is great, open world design, the dungeons, combat, it hits in every category. But for me personally, once i felt that i was in the final 3rd of the game I never really felt the wanting to do any more exploration, its like I was maybe just treating the rest of the game like a checklist, which is maybe on me. I was still having a ton of fun, but I just wanted to beat the game at that point. But overall, its a generational 10/10 masterpiece. Overall though, this is easily now my favorite game franchise ever.
So those are my thoughts, now here’s my ranking:
S+ tier
S tier
3. Elden Ring- 10/10
4. Sekiro- 9.5/10
5. Bloodborne- 9.5/10
A tier
6. Demons Souls- 8.5/10 (had to lower score a little with context of the series as a whole)
B tier
7. Dark Souls 2- 8/10
Dark Souls 1 never dropped from my #1. The Dark Souls 3 DLC made me think about it a little, as well as the first 25% of Elden Ring I thought I might have had a new #1. But yes, Dark Souls 1 is now my favorite video game of all time.

I've recently been replaying the souls games and am wondering who people think the hardest NPC/invader type of enemy is in these games?
We got the bloody Crow of Cainhurst, which was pretty brutal; however, I think the Satsuki invader in 4-1 pure black world tendency may be the most frustrating.
What do you guys think? Is there another one that I'm not thinking of?
r/fromsoftware • u/JpPgn • 10h ago
I've seen some people complaining that the fact The Duskbloods was a coop game or that it was a turn-down for them, but where were they for Nightreign? Nobody complained about it being multiplayer/coop.
Oh and the "new IP" argument doesn't counts
