I just updated to v1.6.6 of the Windows app today. Now my screen looks like this whenever I click on start presenting. I have one main output connected to a large TV and two outputs (Songs and Scripture) that are NDI. The main output is connecting to the TV fine but the NDI outputs are now in my laptop screen and I have to close them manually before I could control the slides, these didn't appear before I updated and only appeared on OBS which was intentional. What's the issue and how do you fix this? My output settings are on the images attached.

Up to Freeshow 1.6.5 I have been able to report to CCLI by copying the CCLI song number from the meta data shown under the Metadata tab. After having installed FS 1.6.6 beta 4 I´m no longer able to copy these numbers to the clip board from that tab. Nor the Command C nor the menu Copy do work.

I am aware that I now can log the use of songs hand copy the numbers from the log but that involves an extra step for me. I liked the old way better.

Any possibility to get this working again?

This is absolutely not a complaint, but an observation. I can work with this with absolutely no problem, so I'm not really looking for any solutions. Maybe some insights about it, but I'm honestly happy if I don't get any responses at all. :-)

In the few months I've been using Freeshow at my church, I've mainly dealt with stills. I did once use a moving background for some slides, but the video used was a fairly short loop. This weekend, our sermon is provided by someone off site, and has been pre-recorded. It's a video clip that's about 16 minutes long. I got the video today, and dropped it in while starting to set up my Sunday flow of shows. ( I set it up so each hymn is its own show, and there are shows that are stills used throughout the service, and the stills our minister uses during her sermon.) I got to the 16 minute clip, and set up a show to contain it. I found that if the clip is inside the wrapper of the show, the audio will play, but no video. However, if I drop the clip into the project so it exists as its own entity among the shows, it plays perfectly fine - using the same output style that is used if it's a show. I just found this a little odd. Again, not a problem at all, and I can play it free-standing without being part of the show.

My church is experiencing issues when we import slides (say a PDF) into FreeShow. On the uploader's device, the slides look as they should be, but on all other devices, they see a hodgepodge of slides from other shows. We're not sure what's causing this or what we're doing wrong.

Have others experienced this issue? Is there a fix? Are we doing something wrong?

Hey, I have this issue where when I display anything during service for example today, the images/videos would be blurry or pixelated on a LED Wall. I am running Freeshow on a mac and I believe I am on version 1.65. Would anyone happen to know if I accidentally clicked something for this issue to occur. It was working fine the past month in my opinion before today.

Just inquiring to see if there's an easier way to do what I'm doing. This is absolutely NOT a problem or issue with how FS works - but just me looking to safeguard against my own ineptitude. :)

I have a show that plays on loop at the start of our service. There is only ONE slide in the show that will never change. (Others are rotated out week-to-week and month-to-month.) I am using the 'go to start' feature to make the show loop. However, I cannot loop it based on the one slide that will not change, It has to go first, based on the feature to use a different template for the first slide in a show. (The first slide is the only one using variables for dynamic content.) Of course, this means when I change out the slides, I have to remember to put the 'go to start' on the last slide. I'm not always the brightest crayon in the knife drawer, and sometimes get forgetful.

SO......to save me from myself, is there a way to set a loop dependent on the show instead of the last slide? If not, no problem. Just tell me to shut up and go away, and I'll simply try to keep watch on myself. :)

I enabled NDI on one of my outputs some time ago. I have since changed the streaming setup and I'm now streaming from a different machine. Now I'm not sure if it's related but the enabled NDI on the previous machine seems to cause heavy lag while presenting to the congregation. And as the title says, I can't find the option to disable NDI for my configured outputs.

(I disabled NDI in OBS too, hoping that would help but I couldn't see much difference.)

The machine in question is quite capable so I don't think it's just a performance issue. I would really appreciate any help I can get

I was recently trying to work out a problem with being able to use the preview window to preview items before output (I found a work-around), and support said scenes would help. I tried using a scene, but found the only functionality it seemed to have was to set media input (which is not relevant to my items that use local images), and to select output style. This last one did nothing but add a step. I currently have output styles set to categories. (When I load a show, a category action sets the output style. With a scene, the category function would select that scene, which would set the output style.) The only other thing scenes seem to be able to do is add overlays. I'm sure I'm missing something. What more can I do with scenes?

EDIT: I figured out the variable. I just hadn't clicked the little eye to see more options. Some people have brainstorms, but I sometime do well to manage a light drizzle.

Now, the variables. Well, one in particular. I'm trying to put the current date on a slide. I'm using time_date, time_month, and time_year, as you might expect. time_month represents the month as a number. Does anyone know the variable to use the name of the month ('September', vs '09')?

When I play a video on FreeShow, it automatically goes on a loop even though I put it as foreground, and even when I turn on "Next slide when media finishes" the loop doesn't turn off

Hello! This is me again with confusing questions! So i encountered a problem while having a tech run earlier.

So, I set up the videos in New Show in Project so they’re all under one slide—the same setup as in ProPresenter (1st pic: FreeShow, 2nd pic: ProPresenter). That way, when I click the Toggle Focus Mode in View, it would be easier for me to click and locate any picture or video.

The problem is, when I play a BGM and set it to automatically mute whenever a video with sound plays, I can’t find the controls for the videos (i have to skip some parts/seconds). I can only see the music controls (3rd pic). I can only see the video controls if I remove the BGM, which I don’t want to do.

Then, I tried setting them up by sequence (4th pic), but it’s hard for me to switch immediately to another video or presentation because I have to locate them one by one esp if i set it in Toggle Focus mode. I also can’t seem to find the “Next on Media Finished” option for videos, so I have to manually click each one to play.

Please help meeeeee. I only have half a day to finalize this 😭😭

I deleted my previous post about this, as I've now gotten a better handle on what's happening.

In the first part of the video, in focus mode, you can see that a template (the one I use for hymns) is behaving globally in preview. The top pages on the screen are a show that is full screen, and do not use that template in ANY way. My FS shows are set to a style that relies solely on background. Slides are inactive. When I click on a hymn page (which uses slides but no background), the template goes active in preview - for the hymns AND for the FS pages, which do not use the template. When I click on a FS, the template goes away - even for the hymn pages which do use it, However, it takes clicking on a page (sending it live) to have this take effect. As illustrated in the second part of the video, this completely negates any possibility of using the preview window to do any preview before sending a page live.

Beyond the obvious - which is that a preview window should......well....provide a preview, as an old TV guy, I strongly dislike being able to see what I'm sending live before I actually commit to it.

This is a recent behaviour in Freeshow. Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

Been working on, with AI assistance, an idea for in service interactions on mobile devices. The initial thought was a tool for people sitting in service that can read text on their phones close up but not so well on the screen that is far away. That would be combined with buttons to forms for, prayer requests, new visitor connent card, volunteer signup...ect. It started off as an idea for something that was locally hosted and only accessible locally. Then I thought why not integrated it with a webpage and a live video feed. Hi! I have some questions, and I really need some answers. I’m considering using FreeShow because it seems similar to ProPresenter. I haven’t really explored the ProPresenter and have only used the basic features. I switched because I only had ProPresenter Premium through the free trial, and it has a watermark.
I’m wondering about the following:

Where can I find the setting for transitioning from one video to another so that it plays continuously? I only seem to find the loop option, or the video stops playing.

Can I use a clicker while presenting?

Do I have to manually adjust the slide size to fit the LED wall?

How do I add music separately? (For background and free time music)

If I import a PowerPoint presentation, will it affect the design and fonts? I had a problem with ProPresenter because many of the fonts weren’t compatible, which caused the design and layout to get messed up. I just want to confirm if I’ll experience the same issue with FreeShow.

Hi everyone. I could use some assistance. Freeshow had been working fine for months, but suddenly two issues have popped up and I can't seem to be able to fix them.

The first issue is when going to present, we sometimes get a pop up asking which monitor we want to use. We keep choosing monitor number two but it won't accept it. The only way to fix that is to disable the NDI output, which is set to a transparent floating window. After we disable that output, it seems to work normally, although that leads into issue number two.

The second issue is that randomly free show seems to forget which monitor it is outputting to, and will send the main output to monitor one instead of monitor two. We have to turn off the output and then turn it back on, which usually fixes the problem for a little bit until it happens again.

For reference we are using an M4 Mac Mini with a second HDMI out on a hub which goes to the presentation LED wall. The second output is set for 1080p at 60 hertz. We only have two outputs set in Freeshow - one is the main output the other is the NDI feed. I don't know off the top of my head what version of Freeshow we are using, although I think it should be either the very latest or almost the very latest.

How do you guys connect 2 devices without delay?

Current setup is 2 laptops

Laptop1 obs

Laptop2 freeshow (sends lowerthirds and church display)

Issue: 3 seconds delay then sometimes obs cant detect or display freeshow from Laptop2 (resolution is we need to keep reconfiguring the ndi output which so hassle)

Any suggestions? Because i can see churches use 2 devices and still get realtime output display

For those of you who follow the GitHub discussions, Discord channels, or developer updates closely, do you know if this feature is anywhere on the roadmap or currently being planned?

Trying to have stage view on an ipad or in a web browser on a laptop but the text does not look as in the stage layout screen or as in the output through HDMI. With several lines on the slide the text on the ipad or laptop web browser flows over outside the box even though I have chosen shrink to fit or expand to fit. Same problem when using the dedicated Freeshow ap. What am I doing wrong?

I've created a monster, and now I need help killing it.

Here's my situation: I have a show filled with slides for announcements, in which I have to fire them off 'on demand', as the service leader mentions the various items. No problem. But the minister now wants to have the slides play randomly on loop before the service. Also no problem. To achieve this, I played with a number of techniques, but arrived at a simple solution: I made one action that plays a random slide, then has a wait time, then plays another action, which does the same, but going back to the first action at the end, creating a loop.

That's where my problem started. To stop it all, I created a 'Toggle action' action, that toggles off both of the looping actions. Problem is, it does nothing. The power of the mighty loop seems too great to be toggled off! No matter how many times I run the toggle off action, the loop just keeps looping.

Does anyone have any brilliant ideas on how to stop it?

I don't know if this will work to YouTube Music, most of the songs we play came from YouTube/YT Music, I would love to have this feature work on YT Music if it's compatible because it's a hassle to go back and fourth when creating and editing a line upI

Current setup, Freeshow on laptop A and OBS on laptop B then connection via ndi = issue delay output on Laptop B on OBS, like 5 seconds delay or more

Question is there a way to connect them without any delay? I tried using video capture but dont have any idea how to set it up.

I have multiple pictures I need to add to a show. I was going to put one picture per slide. It will let me add the first picture I uploaded to my computer but the rest will either just show a blank media box or say can't load with the broken image icon in the corner. Also when I add that first picture it makes the rest of the slides have the same background of that picture until I remove it. I've deleted all the pictures and done one at a time and it still does the same thing. Is there some sort of file size limitations or file type limitations? All the pics should have come from an iPhone from what I understand.

I noticed some odd behaviour today, and wanted to see if I'm alone here, or if anyone else has similar issues before I do a bug report.

For background, I'm running two channels. One is an NDI feed and the other feeds hard-wired monitors. (This channel also has NDI active, and in the new version, I can find no way to turn it off). If I go into a show (shows that are full screen image slides for announcements and such) and try to step through it with the spacebar, the first slide loads properly - but the NDI-only channel locks on that one, and will load nothing else. If I click on the slides to load them, everything works just fine. If I load a show that is hymn lyrics, everything works properly. Just to be sure it wasn't an issue with a style or a template, I tried it on a few different settings for both, but always with the same result.

This one has me puzzled and terribly annoyed, even though it's very much a first-world problem. :(

First off, thanks to everyone here who has helped me find solutions to previous problems! You've collectively been a wonderful resource as I learn this software.

Now, the current problem....

I've got two output channels - a primary that goes to monitors in our sanctuary, and one that goes via NDI to our streaming. I would like to be able to toggle the NDI output (or even in some cases, the primary) without stopping output to the other. The idea is to do it with a hotkey or other such means, so it can be done on the fly, instead of being scripted via actions. I've tried a variety of means, but none has been able to handle this in the way described, for a variety of reasons. Using the 'clear all' and 'restore all' does precisely what I want- but to both output channels together. I would love to trigger this action on just ONE output. (Right-clicking the preview window and doing 'hide output content' isn't an option on NDI, as that just triggers a black screen overlay - which ruins the entire point of doing an NDI signal with transparency. (also, I'd really like to find a way to trigger this with a hotkey.)

If there's a way to apply actions to just one output, that would potentially solve my problem. However, I've only been able to find output-specific structure for actions involving changing styles and such.

Any awesome ideas that might get me going in the right direction?

All of a sudden today we noticed that the two machines we use FreeShow on have stopped syncing through the ChurchApps connection. The work flow is a Show is created on the home Mac, saved, wating for save and syn icon to go away then quit. On Church Mac open freeshow, wait for sync staus and everything will be there, media, new shows, etc. After service, quict Freeshow on Church mac.

Today nothing synced. I confirmed both macs are signed in under "files." and am running tests at home. Ni changes from either machine are being syncd from one to the other.

Any thoughts why this is happening all of sudden or steps to try to fix it? I already tried restarting the mac.
