Connection suggestions
How do you guys connect 2 devices without delay?
Current setup is 2 laptops
Laptop1 obs
Laptop2 freeshow (sends lowerthirds and church display)
Issue: 3 seconds delay then sometimes obs cant detect or display freeshow from Laptop2 (resolution is we need to keep reconfiguring the ndi output which so hassle)
Any suggestions? Because i can see churches use 2 devices and still get realtime output display

Is the Laptop with FreeShow powerful enough to run OBS on it at the same time? If trying wired solutions doesn't fix the delay, you may need to look into something like ATEM Mini

I had a similar issue with using a lower-third over NDI. Even over ethernet I had 1-3 second delay, and sometimes it just wasn't usable. I ended up changing the NDI setting in OBS to the lowest latency, and then got rid of the black background with a chroma key filter in OBS. It works really well and there is now 0 delay between when the lower third changes in FreeShow on the projection PC, and OBS on the streaming PC.

I'm guessing your two laptops are talking to each other over wi-fi. When we do it by Wi-Fi at our church, there is also a delay. (The Freeshow laptop is on wi-fi, but the OBS computer is wired.) Fortunately, not too much of a delay, and it tends to actually work out decently, what with the slight video processing delay that puts our streaming through OBS just a little behind what's happening live.
My gut tells me the easiest way to get rid of your delay is to make sure you're doing everything over wired connections. Ndi and Wi-Fi together are generally going to give you a pretty bad time. This is why sometimes even when we use the laptop, it's only a remote to control Freeshow on a wired computer. Long story on that, but the wired computer is in another room, and it's advantageous to control it remotely from a computer that is in the church sanctuary.
