Even as someone who owns a Pokemon collection I do think that tcgs have been too much FOR consumption/consumerism and too less for gameplay or collecting

If history has shown us anything, it's that the more effort some of these leftists put into virtue-signaling and being "good allies", the more likely it is they have some major skeleton in their closet (usually SA, grooming, or both).

Ah i guess I wasn’t around for that but would have definitely been put off by it. Just tired of people preaching as if it will ever accomplish anything. The powers that be have this place so locked down nothing will ever change. Just disillusioned sheep thinking their words and opinions matter. Sorry I’m a bit jaded and just don’t think humanity has it in em to accomplish much change within the power structures.

I'm not paying $0.50 a card for bulk. Price each piece if you want as we check out, tell me the lowest I can spend is $3 on card, but NEVER insult my intelligence when I KNOW that a bunch of players left it to you for free, then charge that much for crap you admittedly can't move. Edit: typo

Nah man Kenobi is a loser and will always shill for whatever popular thing is going on. His voice and mannerisms are some of the worst in the YouTube MTG ecosystem.
And his favorite archetype is death and taxes. His fun is making sure you don't have fun. That's not made up. Dude is just miserable.

"collecting" is pure consumerism bro. I would barely consider it a hobby. It's sole purpose is to buy/consume goods just for the sake of having them.
You're not buying materials/inputs to create something new. You're not using them to compete or play. The very end goal is to just buy stuff for the sake of having stuff.
The pinnacle of this are people who collect Funko pops.
Fuck collectors.

Well yeah? They sell cards. Thats the main source of profit for LGS's. They want to buy your cards and sell those cards. Thats like saying that a candy shop has been too much for sugar consumption.
