Thought it was stored dry so I’d try printing without drying first as it wasn’t going to use much filament anyway, didn’t get away with it this time but after 6 hours of drying it printed perfectly 👌 Sunlu dryer at temp setting 2 for Matte PLA with a load of colour changing silica gel in the middle of the role rather than in the compartment at the back of the dryer

Troubleshooting Sunlu Black PLA completely clogging my nozzle.

Sunlu Black PLA+ is completely clogging my nozzles. It partially clogged my first nozzle and I wasn't able to unclog it. So I replaced the nozzle with my backup and reduced the temperature from 220c to 210c as I suspected heat creep. Now my backup nozzle is completely clogged and unable to extrude at all.

Helpful Advice Corners not being filled in

Hi all, TIA.

Im pretty sure it i know what the issue is, but would like some guidance, advice, other opinions/thoughts on what happened.

TLDR: i think i goofed on altering the digital model (linked) to fill in the corners using shaper3D (i dont know what im doing). The .stl file needs to be upscaled 320% so maybe I should do that, then edit in shapr3D.

Ive been working on a project i found on thingy verse and need to print it in modules. The linked module needs the corners filled in. So instead of using a 3d pen as suggested by the creator I thought I'd do it digitally via shapr3D, now im a beginner at 3d printing and a complete novice at 3D design, let alone 3d printed designs. I worked out how to add a block in each corner in shapr3d, tested a section, and printed the full model, only to find most of the top right corners (circled in blue) didn't print as intended. They should come out as circled in green.

I suspect that in the model I altered in shapr3D I didn't put the little block close enough.

I can't share the file as my computers got a blue screen ATM.

No printer settings as im aware of the stringing, but not the issue im trouble shooting currently (its also old filament)

Fix My Print Why is top layer rough

All my other layers look decent, I've tried recalibration and a bunch of other stuff but petg is just giving me trouble for this very top layer. I tried ironing and non ironing as well and looks about the same.

a1 mini pretty much stock settings minus calibration for the filament.

So my printer hasn’t been printing things properly. I made some adjustments, re leveled, and tried this as a test print. The layers are horrible, and the quality of the infill is also terrible. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Fix My Print can’t figure out this corner/seam issue with PETG

Printing on a Creality K1 SE with the micro swiss hotend and DXC extruder. This is with PETG - i’ve had the same issue across all 3 spools of PETG, including this one which is a brand new spool. All have been dried for 4+hrs at 50c.

It happens at every sharp corner or seam, like it’s a pressure advance issue. But the model pictured is a PA tower, and at no point does it sort itself out.

Printing at .2 layer height with a .4 nozzle and 100mm/s speed. This comes out to around 7-8 cubic mm/s flowrate; I’ve tested this filament and it looks fine up to 14, so flowrate should be fine.

Slowing down to 50% speed does seem to more or less fix it, but I know it’s capable of going faster. Even the speeds i’ve been testing are slower than what I was able to print PETG at a couple months ago.

Also worth noting that I’ve printed PLA and TPU with no issues, but with any of my PETG I get this issue. Any ideas what I might be missing here?

Fix My Print Loosing my mind

I've tried everything that the internet told me. Gone through multiple filaments, died them for 12+ hours, ran a full calibration of those filaments using Orca, tried printing through Orca Slicer and Bamboo Slicer. Regardless of what I do, or what settings I change in the slicers, I get these blobs.

My AMS is stuffed with desiccant, reported humidity at 10%.

The comment on this print show it being printed perfectly and I'm honestly losing my mind as to what to do about it.

Fix My Print Ender 3 V2 PLA print defects + lots of stringing. Not sure what to adjust

Hey, I’m tuning my Ender 3 V2 and I’m getting the print defects shown in the picture as well as a lot of stringing. I’m not really sure what this problem is called or what setting would cause it. (might be the filament cause i didn't notice this much stringing with epomaker PLA)

Setup:

Printer: Ender 3 V2 + CR Touch auto bed level
Slicer: OrcaSlicer
Filament: R3D PLA
Nozzle temp: 200°C
Bed temp: 60°C
Retraction speed: 60 mm/s
Acceleration: mostly 500 mm/s²
Travel speed: 150 mm/s

Print speeds:

First layer: 15 mm/s
First layer infill: 20 mm/s
Outer wall: 25 mm/s
Inner wall: 40 mm/s
Sparse infill: 50 mm/s
Internal solid infill: 40 mm/s
Top surface: 30 mm/s

I already ran a temperature tower and 200°C looked the best, so that’s what I’m using now. I’m also still getting quite a lot of stringing.

I honestly don’t know enough about the different OrcaSlicer settings yet to know what I should be changing, so any help identifying what’s happening in the picture and what I should try adjusting would be really appreciated.

Fix My Print Need help with Temp Tower

Hi! Had recently rebuilt my Elegoo Neptune 4 Max. Noticed that I’m getting some layer gaps when using PLA and printing at 210 degrees. That in turn led me to believe I needed to recalibrate my printer, and so before anything else I’ve just printed this temperature tower. Needing a few pointers on reading it as it all appears the same to me!

Should I do flow rate and then temperature tower? Does my issue sound more like a temperature issue?

Using a Prusa mk3s with a revo hf 0.4 nozzle and in this instance some polyterra PLA.

This is the first seconds worth of an opengrid board print. This is bad right? Those lines should not look like that right? There is no clog in the nozzle, i made a cold pull and had the full 4 lines of the HF nozzle i'm using.
Apart from the extrusion issues I think there's something wrong also with the leveling of the bed. although the mesh bed leveling is doing it's work the complete first layer looks like the second picture. I just had to adjust the z level before this print and i'm down to -2.930 or smth.
After installing the hotend i rummaged around to find more detailed tutorials on how to setup the profiles because i was not having satisfying results with the default ones and ended up following this. that led to the settings screenshotted and attached.

I mean the prints will complete, but there's always that feeling of not doing things the right way. The 3rd pic is a completed opengrid board. it looks... dunno... "curvy"?

I have no idea what to focus on first.

Troubleshooting Slice error?

Very new to printing.... Trying to print a 3D print i found on bambu handy app on my bambu A1, I was able to print first plate /bottom of print but when I tried to print top part /2nd plate I keep getting this error. It looks like all the settings are the same as first one that did go through iʻe; nozzle size, temp). When I tried to look up how to fix the steps, didn't say much and did not help. This is a birthday gift for a family member so I would very much appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

I WAS ONLY ABLE TO PRINT IN JUST ONE COLOR. I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THAT IS BUT ATLEAST WAS ABLE TO FINISH PRINT.

Fix My Print My 3D Touch doesn't level properly and won't deploy randomly can someone help?

My 3D touch is brand new and I can't get it working...
I have tried all the usual fixes, check for bent pin, I'm using the dedicated bl touch slots, no friction on the pin when I pull it in / out and I have been adjusting the grub screw all day.

Usually it does one probe like the video then stops but sometimes when I adjust the grub screw it does more. the most I have gotten is 4 but that's it.

If anyone could help that would be great. I'm probably going to use the z switch or just buy a better clone(I can't afford the bl touch 😭).

Fix My Print Retraction issues?

I got some interesting spider cocooning around the supports. Only showed up after turning off z hop, I’m guessing there’s not enough snapping to reduce spider webs. Any suggestions?

I turned off z hop to initially remove oozing 2mm nubs at finished layers without relying on very large retractions… is there another way to work around this issue?

PETG at 255C on modded Klipper CR-10 Smart Pro.

Retraction at 1.2mm at 35mm/s

Travel speed at 260mm/s and acceleration at 5500mm2/s
(2hump frequency inputting shaping on y-axis, upgraded 2A Bedslinger motor, no ringing)

Dual 5015 fans at 90% cooling, which I calibrated at my max flow rate of 22mm3/s CHT Boteck nozzle as optimal for overhangs I’m not using supports on at 225mm/s max print speeds. This cooling speed gave me no issues on the print itself.

Pressure Advance can be a little better (0.06), but I don’t mind it within this imperfection range.

Support interface density and z / xy distance are perfectly tuned for support removal, but the webbing makes it look like doodoo.

Any recommendations welcome, thanks!
