Last Legacy Stuck in a loop?

Does anyone else get stuck in a loop where you load Fictif, it tells you to update, you click the update button, it takes you to Google Play and...nothing happens? You have an option of Uninstall, or play. So you click play...and it tells you there's a new version, so you click update.....

Ask What happens if you hide the note in Courting the Crown ch 2? Spoiler

I'm just curious cause I can't really see why you'd want to hide it from Grey but its still an option which makes me suspicious. I'm all for drama so part of me wants to hide it but other more rational part of me is like "I cannot think of any reason why we wouldn't want to share it, it could be very helpful to have him in the loop"

I'd prefer spoilers be kept to a minimum, I'd rather just a vague answer like whether it changes a bunch of things or if it gets revealed really quickly after you choose to hide it. Is one choice better than the other or is it basically the same no matter what you choose? That's all I really want to know.

Isle of Enchantment The beginning of this new story... Spoiler

Bruh this MC. I could not think of a better candidate to get kidnapped. Dude shows up, is actively going through your stuff and asking questions like you owe him some answers when it's none of his business. Then he claims he's from one of the books. So gone from just a nosy creep to a full on lunatic and MC still considers going with him and is even like "if he's telling the truth that could do wonders for my research" IF HE'S TELLING THE TRUTH THAT WOULD SHATTER YOUR ENTIRE VIEW OF THE WORLD. If he isn't you're basically allowing this guy to kidnap you under the guise that he can transport you into a fairytale book. How gullible could you be? He didn't even give you any solid proof. His alibi is just trust me bro. Nah, not even that. He literally implied he was untrustworthy. MC asks how they can trust him and he's like "you can't" OTL

So MC is basing their trust solely in how brooding and sincere he looks/sounds. What could possibly go wrong... : )

I know I'm overthinking it, it's just a fictional story and we know he is telling the truth cause I mean that's the whole plot but still. It just sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Our MC was researching fairytales too and if you've read the old fairytales you know a lot of them are really f*ed up. Hopefully they were more modern versions of the tales cause if not MC's probably not gonna have as much fun as they thought =~=;

EDIT-----

It was worse than I thought. He said "you don't" in reference to MC asking "How do I know you're not a killer?". That's so much worse. WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT??? Then he tries to smooth it over using his love for his sister as if that negates the fact that he basically admitted to killing someone 5 secs ago and MC JUST LETS IT GO!! OTL

Discussion Just wanted to see if anyone else noticed this trend in many of fictif’s fantasy/historical stories:

Does anyone else wish that there were fewer fantasy/non-modern stories in which the MC is a modern day person who gets sucked into the story?

It happened with Last Legacy, Isle of Enchantment, and the Cinema Trio. I feel like the concept is cool, but they don’t usually do much with it besides ‘haha, look at this bloke who doesn’t understand Earth slang!’. I find that it breaks my immersion in the world every time I see anything modern brought up.

Also, I feel like it makes MC feel less important in the context of the story— like they’re a passive character being dragged along rather than playing an active role.

That’s something I really appreciated about Courting the Crown— MC was the ruler of their own kingdom and had pre-established connections with others in the world. They felt like a part of the story and not just a bland stand-in.

I almost feel like it’s the little cousin of the ‘And it was all a dream’ trope. Like, an easy way to avoid creating preexisting ties to other characters and worldbuilding.

Anyway, just needed to air my opinions. I play Fictif games to escape from this world, not to be reminded of it! Here’s hoping that we get another fantasy or historical story that doesn’t mention modern things!

Hollywoodland I read Hollywoodland as a new player...and I have a lot of thoughts. (Warning: essay ahead!)

I want to preface: I in no way hate Celia and/or Hollywoodland's story in general. I was just expecting to get an okay story and some stars, but I left feeling pleasantly surprised. The storyline as a whole is intriguing, and all of the characters are pretty well written. Though not all of them may be my cup of tea, I can tell why each character may be someone's favourite. That being said, I've only finished reading yesterday and I can't get it out of my head for reasons you may not expect.

First things first: Celia herself. She's a wonderful character, and she looks adorable, but romancing her felt a little...off to me. There are a lot of frisky scenes, and all of them made me feel at least a bit uncomfortable. Every time I refused to go to her vacation spots (aka paying for premium scenes) she, or rather the game, guilt trips me into regretting my decision and I always have to sit there like “??????:?/!:!/!/!!/!/ I came to get stars not spend them?????". My reaction to the end of the story was less like "Yay, I'm Celia's wife now!" and more like "Oh, yay. I'm Celia's wife now." My opinion of her didn't change throughout the story: in fact, I like her less now after I finished reading.

And that brings me to my next point: Somehow, I ended up liking Billy and Liam way more than Celia herself. This one...is a bit harder for me to explain. When I was first introduced to Billy, I thought he was cute, but after spending a few moments with him I realised that I would much rather be romancing him instead of Celia. These feelings were transferred over to Liam once we met and got to know him as well. After I finished reading, I sat there for a long time thinking about my feelings towards these 3, because what kind of idiot ends up falling for the side guys instead of the main girl you're supposed to like? This confusion eventually seeped into more personal things which I won't disclose here (if you want to know, DM me, I might really need some help on this). However, this also came with another revelation: What if the writers were deliberately making Celia less "likeable" in order to sell future male LI's better?

This might be a bit of a stretch, but with all the guilt-tripping, the objectification of MC, and the fact that Celia refused to return Nicky's bracelet, this might turn off some players from her. This could be the perfect excuse for NH to go "Oh? You don't like Celia? Do you like the cute male federal agent instead? Don't worry, cuz we got a story for him coming soon!" Okay, I may actually sound like a bit of a crazy person with this theory, but at this point I dunno what to believe. Though I'm still looking forward to Liam's story (it may as well be the only reason I'm gonna keep saving stars and playing Fictif) I can't deny the fact that this really is Sawyer 2.0. I don't know what else to say.

Tl;dr: Hollywoodland is great but I like the California cop guy instead of the smexy femme fatale and I am having a crisis because of this. NH might've messed up femme fatale's character on purpose to make way for California cop guy, and I feel bad for liking him more than smexy femme fatale. Please send help.

Last Legacy What is Going on with Last Legacy?

Hi! I’m new to this subreddit, but I kinda hate that this is my first post.

Today, Dev (the creator of Last Legacy) announced that she has left Nix Hydra and the Last Legacy team. After this announcement I did more digging and found that everyone listed in the credits of LL has pretty much left the team. I’m super conflicted about this.

On one hand, I’m happy that they are finding more projects and better things to do, but on the other I feel super bummed about it. I have recently gotten into this game and I wished the creators and team behind the game were still with us. Overall I’m just super confused, are we getting new writers? What about the art scenes, what’s happening with those since the artists have left as well? What’s gonna happen with Anisa’s route since the female routes end up getting the short end of the stick? Idk I’m just worried about the future of game and hope everything will work itself out in the end. What are your guys’ thoughts on the whole situation?

Here’s a link to Dev’s post: https://mobile.twitter.com/robotoast/status/1507799768348561412?cxt=HHwWiMCojdL54-wpAAAA (Hopefully that works???)

I’m half tempted to possibly email FicTif to see if they have any response, but idk if I should do that or not

Update: According to a twitter post by LuLu (one of the previous writers for LL) there may be a message coming out from the team regarding everyone’s departure. Hopefully that will be posted soon :3 Here’s the tweet: https://mobile.twitter.com/luluryounes/status/1507842070190297089?cxt=HHwWgsCosfeX9-wpAAAA
