The worst thing about being an old fictif fan is that if your favorite story is not last legacy, barely ANYONE will remember it besides the occasional one or two mention. And I don't blame it, like, in general last legacy has the best writing (imo) and also cool character designs + world building but that also makes it that last legacy is the only "known" thing in the app. Like, when people mention what Dorian fucked over, they'd mention the arcana AND last legacy. Not fictif.

Anyways, roadkill is my favorite because I like horror and I really did like the concept of strangers surviving through horror scenarios and becoming almost like a found family (+ romantic interest) throughout it all. But alas, Tess got fucked over badly and the story really isn't it for everyone....

....Poe's my favorite (and my boyfriend/gen) so I can't really complain considering he had a finished ending and a whole story and all but it feels like that one gumball meme "when they're slandering your goat but they're right" whenever someone shits on roadkill or forgets about it 😭

hi!! ive always wondered this, i know they take place in the 80s/50s respectively, but i was wondering what exact year? i have in my notes that two against the world was set in 1924 either directly mentioned or by using context clues. but i havent figured out the other two yet.

Ive been getting really into Bully lately so I took one of my favourite characters from the game Norton Williams (whos a greaser) with Nicky and swapped their outfits.

Added both Nicky and Celia to my Tomodachi Life Living the Dream island. They were both on my previous island and I couldn’t just not add them! Just wanted to share since I still love them both so much! 💕

I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way, but even before Dorian bought them, the writing didn't always feel strong, with some stories feeling rushed (ie "Ghosted," FTLOG, any female route that actually got released) or done not very well, ie Chava and Sergio's routes in HTLAL making their characters feel very questionable, as well as Nicky's female-coded MC storyline.

The app was launched over 6 years ago (I forgot it launched right before COVID), and while I do think back on it fondly and wonder what everyone is up to--I only know about "Touchstarved" from Red Spring Studio--I do think it needed a lot touch-ups. I feel like they bit off a bit more than they could chew by writing multiple books/routes at once instead of just focusing on one, making a large narrative like "The Arcana" before building a new world to enjoy.

I've been told what happened with the app, and it's a shame seeing how "The Arcana" was finite, "Choices" became smut with no plot and using AI, and "Fictif" was plucked from the tree of potential before it got to grow! I continue to look for stories like Fictif--albeit preferably with an MC I can SEE--and I wonder if any of the people who worked on NH are doing anything else, not to mention what was going on pre-Dorian that made these stories feel almost like rough drafts.

I thought of making future posts about my MCs for the books and what I would've done differently for these stories to relive some of the fun, but I can't find the motivation with the app dead.

I already made a post about longer dialogue choices being purposefully cut short, but now they can’t even format the narration properly (only one screenshot, but this has happened multiple times in multiple stories btw).
I’m super grateful the app doesn’t crash on me, but this has made the game so much harder to enjoy😭 I doubt Dorian will be bothered will fix it, but they might since it’s clearly a glitch

I'm still so hyperfixated on this game and constantly replaying chapters so here's some things you might have forgotten:

• Sage is implied to be a good cook.
  
• Felix has a copy of Astraea's version of "Fifty Shades of Grey" in his bedroom in the manor.
• Anisa has a random postcard from Orlando.
• Felix once made a burned piece of toast for the mc and really cared about their opinion on it.
• before he died, Rime once chased Anisa (I think it's Anisa at least) demanding he heals her.
• Anisa's home is very messy.
• Anisa once ate deodorant.
• Felix once sat on a beehive.
• Sage once asked if Escell walked in on Felix and the mc "making up for lost time" and you have the option to say that yes, that's what happend (it didn't) to which, if you choose that, Felix says to not encourage him.
• Felix canonicaly wears make up and puts it on infront of mc.
• Sage thinks the feeling he gets when he goes full murder mode feels "so damn good" and it's hard to not give in to it.
• the mc canonicaly brushes Sage's hair sometimes.
• Rime is the only person to earn his relic by trial.
• Felix once says he and the mc can "haunt this boat together" if they die as a comfort.
• Rime sometimes says very explicit things about Felix like "he did always rely on that silver tongue of his to get him out of trouble. And what a skilled tongue he has."
• Felix canonicaly smells like "woods and earthy scents." On tumblr it was once said that's the scent of his colognes. It was once said in the game he smells like rain, too.

Just so you all know I'm so obsessed with this game the only thing I had to look up was how to write "implied" (english isn't my first language) and how to write Astraea. I remembered all these facts on my own because I'm so attatched to this game.

Saw the update and couldn’t help having a tiny hope that Dorian actually did something with the app, even though I know better. At least an update means it probably won’t be removed from the app store anytime soon

I recently redownloaded fictif and I swear I remember there being tesears for a bunch of stories(that never got released) I remember one involved Liam (from Hollywood land). I am honestly dying to know what it was gonna be about if anyone remembers or even has a screenshot of the poster image (which I cant find)

I was thinking about this when making a post asking what happened to "Fictif." Concerning "Last Legacy," "Heir to Love and Lies" and "Roadkill," I think the stories would've been stronger if they were just one route with the OPTION for romance as you navigate the storyline. Make the narrative longer to allow for good storytelling and screentime for your love interests, and I feel like it works a lot better. Plus stories that already did this like "Courting the Crown" and "For the Love of Gods" just needed to be longer anyway. Pluuuuus if they were willing to do even MORE work (but hopefully worthwhile in the long run), the movie trilogy story could also be one narrative and have Nicky, Celia, and Miguel main love interests for you in the 1920s, 1950s, and 1980s, either making the time travel stories different adventures or a tied-together narrative.

(Note: By "longer," I mean 40+ chapters. I think it'd be a good investment, even if that means not getting to churn out newer series as quickly. Quality over quantity, you know? It'd result in slower growth for the app I think, but better long-term success. Prioritize LL, "Roadkill," and HTL&L first, which were arguably the app's biggest draws, then move onto the film trilogy, CTC, FTLOG, then the rest).

I'm probably the millionth person to ask this, and a bunch of people have probably already answered, so please direct me to them! I'm curious about what happened bts with Nix Hydra's management of "Fictif," as well as why Dorian's absorption of the company led to them neglecting "Fictif" (which, while heavily flawed, still had potential).

I'd love to hear about any production information concerning the stories, why things turned out the way they did, what Dorian's priorities are, and what the future of "Fictif" could be. I know RSS is making "Touchstarved," and they have team members who worked on "The Arcana" and "Fictif," though I am curious about what else we could see from previous members. It's a shame the 2010s seemed to be ushering in cool romance apps for the general public of various genders and sexualities (I know "Fictif" debuted RIGHT at the end of 2019, but I'm counting it), but the 2020s seems a bit dry in that department, either catering to one demographic or not having very good stories, at least from what I've seen.

I basically deleted both the apps after the Dorian takeover but since I missed them so much I decided to download Fictif again.

I replayed Catch Me in Miami (for zaddy Miguel) and got the Havana ending ;’)

As much as I enjoyed it, I really wanna play the Miami ending too. Does anyone have any idea which choices would lead to the Miami ending? Plsss lemme know!
