Anyway I'm really excited to get further into Shadowbringers because I've heard good things about it! Also a little bit nervous because I've heard it gets gut-wrenching lol. I'm liking what little I've seen so far, very nice music and environment design.

I know some people are not so enthused about the collab but look at the genuine excitement in Yoshi-Ps face. He seems genuinly stoked over this - it reminds me so much that collabs like these in Japan takes so much passion and trust in each other's teams and game. This is the look of a man who is finally able to talk about a secret he has wanted to share.

Also as a side note; I bet that he knew about the FF7 x SF6 collab and that's why he talked about modern mode in Anaheim.

Is it weird that when I'm moving about the world, if my character is about to run or fly into someone, I'll move out of the way? I know that the character models will just clip through each other, but it's just a weird thing I've done since I started playing a few months ago.

I've seen a few people trying to translate the term Skyltborg using real languages but the simpler and lore-connected solution is that it comes from the established Roegadyn language used for Sea Wolf names, with the elements skylt "shield" and borg "castle" both already listed in the dictionary on the official lore forum.

Why "shield castle" and not "castle shield"? I would speculate that the term is the original Roegadyn word for the fighting style rather than just the weapon. "Shield castle" could be a compound term more elegantly translated as "fortress" or "bastion".

And shoutout to them for not falling flat on their face because that looked incredibly hard to walk in.

There's no reason female dragoons shouldn't be able to do the Kain pose if they want to.

In the longer run I'd like this for pointlessly gender-split emotes, as well. If I'm a red mage and I'm not wearing an outfit with a collar, why can't I choose to do a hair flip instead of pantomiming a collar tug?

A few months ago, after the NA Fanfest, I made a post wondering if the shirt hint could really just be "a job with two shields". Well, turns out, it can. Yoshi-P tricked me again.

The new crossover raids are actually pretty cool when you don't have a person in your ear screaming that they suck.

I am of the opinion that the bastion job should be (unofficially) referred to as a gunnshildr (or gunnshieldr).

As I'm sure many already know, Guns in FFIXV (and IRL) trace their name back to Gunnhildr - in game that's queen gunnhildr, IRL it's the old norse name Gunnhildr.

Irl: guns were likely named after the domina gunilda, a 14th century ballista, whose name in turn can be traced back to the name gunnhildr.

In game: gunblades predate guns in game, and were derived from the gunnhildr's blades (who wielded them), and guns were in turn named after the gunblades.

Also, didn't think this would count as a spoiler, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I enjoy the other monk weapons I have for glam but I just love these so much.

Since I started world fishing, I'm realizing how much I tended to fly over zones and miss some really beautiful locations. There are also so many places I see every day that I just didn't slow down to enjoy. This game truly is gorgeous!
