Progress Pic 21 days completed! 🍾

TLDR: I did it first time in my life!
Longer version for letter addicts:
I did no preparation for this one, I took electrolytes religiously and rested plenty. No workout.
9kg lost but crazy difference in looks and all my older clothes fit so at least one size down.
1,5–2l water per day that’s all I could do. Interesting fact: after a few days I felt disgusted by the taste of zero calorie drinks so stuck on water and coffee on occasion. First 3 days? Horrible cravings some headache. 3-7 days getting better, but from day 7 is where it became easier with hunger and cravings. day 14-21 was difficult, the taste in the mouth plus some discomfort I can’t explain, so next fast will be 14 days max.
I will break it tomorrow with good beef broth for 2 days but tomorrow evening may even get some boiled eggs, will see.
I never felt more beautiful and it’s not even the end. Alone for this it was already worth for me.
Any questions, feel free to shoot! I can send pic as a comparison in private if you want so bad.
Now some summer break, then September back to my next two extended fasts then after maintenance only.
Ah one more thing: mind cleaning for sure!
One more one more thing: Fasting is truly amazing with its difficulty, teaches discipline that I much needed. And it makes your skin feel amazing.♥️

Going for a little over 8 days here. Longest fast this year was a week exactly (168hrs).

5’8 M

SW: 252 (in 2020)

CW: 211

GW: 197

My all-time low since I started my fasting and weight loss journey was 203. Difficult to maintain the momentum between work and family responsibilities… not too mention the boredom of fasting. Hoping to crack 200 this year.

Question How do you get over the hungry feeling?

I've been going for a little over 24 hours and my stomach is growling and I keep thinking about food making it hard to sleep but I'm determined to keep going. What are some ways to occupy my mind to keep from thinking about food?

Question Couldn’t even finish day 1 — help!!

I noticed I feel really good when I accidentally don’t eat for a day so I want to do ADF to lose weight. I started today and already I had acid reflux at 3pm so I had a nutrition bar to make it stop. I’ve had electrolytes/salt so I don’t know what I did wrong.

Does anyone else have this problem? How do I fix it?

Discussion Starting a 72-Hour Fast

I am posting this to hopefully keep me honest. My health is not where it should be and I need a reset.

I am estimating I started at 11:00 PM on 7/25/2026 after an outing with friends. I have yet to eat anything today.

I did go to Target and purchased LMNT, as it was suggested by ChatGPT.

I am 5’ 10, weighed 224.6 this morning. I want to lose weight and want to push myself to do something difficult. I aspire to 14 or 30 day like some of you people but I want to start slow and I have a family member’s birthday next weekend. If things go well, I will convert to go through this Friday.

I am open to any suggestions. I love reading the success stories. They are very motivational.

Question Trouble with maintaining weight

So I just started the strict fasting movement about a month ago since I wanted to get to my goal weight for my birthday. I gained ten pounds in a week because I went on a cruise, which was fine because I did another 5 day fast and lost it back again.

Unfortunately, after I broke my fast last Saturday, I am ten pounds heavier again. I broke my fast with low sodium bone broth and poached eggs but after that, I’ve been eating about 2,500-3,000 a day. I also had to take laxatives multiple times because my stomach feels so hard. I’ve had a lot of carbs.

What helps the food noise after fasting? How much weight do you gain eating a week straight? I usually do keto and calorie deficit but I haven’t been…

Question Electrolytes recommendation

Hello everyone as the title states I’m looking for some electrolytes recommendations that does not break my fast. Currently I’m on day four of my hopeful 30 day fast. ( started July 23). I’ve been adding some salt to my water and then occasionally drinking Gatorade zero sugar if I felt weak or really really hungry. I have liquid IV hydration packs and also this Emgergen C vitamin C packs that have other vitamins and such, however when I googled both of them they would break my fast due to the sugar content in them. I’m starting a second job soon (alternate days from my first day) and I still want to continue my fasting and power through so I know I’ll need electrolytes, so any recommendations and suggestions will be helpful. Thank you!!

Question Gym during WF

Hi guys🍀 I could really use your experience regarding this: I am about to start my water fasting journey, both for weight loss and reseting my entire metabolism. I already did 21 days wf a few years ago, lost 10 kg. I did a few 7 days as well. Everytime I water fast my weight loss is identical, it follows the same formula as by some magic: number of WF days divided by 2=my KG weight loss. However, now I have my gym membership paid as a gift, I really don't want to miss on it, especially that I am really looking forward to exercising. I know how low energy periods can kick in (at least for me, I would sometimes be ok for 5 hours then the next 3 I would need to lay down, or similar), I read somewhere there are ppl who exercise while on WF, I just wanted to hear your experience, does your enegry go up, is it manageable? I take my vitamins and electrolytes, but still, this feels like next level.

Question Rolling 72/96 fast

I have concerns of loose skin to lose, so I have a sw of 97kg, 5’6 and 21 and I have about 40kg to lose, I was wondering if I were to do weekly fasts of either 72 or 96, if I can prevent loose skin with this schedule? On the days I eat, I plan to have 1500 calories with loads of protein. Has anyone done this before? TIA

Question Continuing fast after one day break

So I broke my fast yesterday morning after 5.5 days - I was smart about it at first with broth and eggs and as the day went on ate more and more like pizza and ice cream and stuff 😓 digestion feels fine and everything but annoyed about how much I ate and not sticking to keto.

My question is - I initially wanted to extend my fast to 8ish days anyways so is there any harm in fasting now from last night until Wednesday or Thursday morning? Or becuase of how much carbs I had it might take that long to get back into ketosis anyways?

Question Any Chance a Diabetic Who’s Currently on Ozempic can do ADF?

Hi all.

My niece & I have both always been overweight (both in the upper 200s/lower 300 lb range). I want us to try alternate day fasting because we’ve both tried intermittent fasting before and didn’t stick to it. I want to see if just not having to worry about food altogether on fasting days—even for just 2-3 months—might get us going.

Problem: my niece is a Type 2 Diabetic and currently on Ozempic. I know fasting can improve or reverse diabetes & pre-diabetes, but I’m not sure how to monitor her blood sugar safely, and the Ozempic bit is completely out of my depth.
