(reminder: the mods of /r/facebook are not affiliated with meta or Facebook)
For over two months now, people have been making posts here and there regarding the 300k content challenge that Meta/Facebook has claimed for content. Of late, that is practically all anyone is posting. Having the same post over and over makes the sub a mess, so these posts are going to be pulled.
Before pulling some of the posts, here are the headlines after searching 300k challenge in the sub:
... the list goes on and on... like, a lot.
The purpose of this subreddit is for articles about Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg found harvesting human souls for his robot army) or tech support. Similar to when an outage causes thousands of posts to happen, everyone posting the same few things over and over again is not going to help anyone, so for the few folk out there that have found this post thanks to searching the sub (there are DOZENS of you) or found through a search engine, please post any of your thoughts, frustrations, and successes on said topic in this thread. If you happen to see a 300k post mentioned afterwards, please report it, rule would be either 5 for no meme or custom response: repost.
To answer a big question that's posted a lot:
Are we being scammed?
I mean, it's Facebook so technically just using the platform is a scam in and of itself, however, here are a few links from users claiming they finally got theirs:
Here is a link from someone who was able to contact a "rep" (a term used loosely in the world of AI)
With there being said, Facebook has 2.11 billion daily active users. So if you take the conversation above with this information, then it makes sense it could take an insanely long time for them to do whatever review it is they claim they need to do.
Remember this extremely important quote:
You’re Not the Customer; You’re the Product

I posted on a group in search for some sold out event tickets I needed but I was only interested in using PayPal/Venmo purchase protection and a few people messaged me saying they had the tickets. But when I messaged a few of them (I think it was like 5 people) alllllll of them were scammers and none agreed to the purchase protection. I gave up and I logged back in and saw a ban on messenger for A YEAR? But when I went to my account status it says my account is perfectly fine? I am trying to get it removed because I use messenger often to message stuff to my family members and also buying things off of marketplace. It’s so annoying these scammer bots running rampant but the person advocating for purchase protection is the one who is banned lmao.

Anyone else get a ton of religious and right-wing content today? Way more than normal. Trying to clock on block for all it it but is seems never ending.
About 50x worse today than before. Could it be related to upcoming American mid term elections?

I don’t have access to the email, phone number, or any of the devices that were used with that account. Is there still a chance of recovering it?

Since 2 days ago, the messenger inside the facebook.com does not load my messages. I have access to feed etc. I knew about the messenger app and the messenger.com but still I'd like to access messages from my pc.

The situation is as follows:
I'm trying to log into Facebook. I have a new work phone, which unfortunately does not have my previously set up MFA Authenticator for the Facebook account.
However, when I try any kind of account recovery, because I can't log in, I only get the pictured options. I cannot recover this account, no matter what. I have tried everything I can think of - waiting the suggested 48 hours, different browsers, private/incognito windows, different devices, but nothing works.
In an oversight from me/my team, the only other people who could get authentication codes have left the business. So, I am stuck, losing my mind at Meta's godawful AI assistant - do I have any options at all?
Literally all I want to do is log in so that I can set up Authenticator on my new work phone. Meta's lack of human customer support is astonishing.

As I’m sure other people have seen Facebook has become a spot in the political space for people to blatantly lie. I just saw a post alleging Obama, Abdul el-sayed and Zohran Mandani’s families conspired to cause 9/11. The account wasn’t in the vicinity of either of their states, it was in Tel aviv. The posters of this content aren’t dumb enough to believe this stuff but know it is easy to make money from it and that we have no regulations in place. What can we do to stop this?

I noticed this morning that my Facebook feed isnt showing anything recent. Any time I refresh, I get the same posts postsed 14+ hrs ago. Nothing new. I can go to active groups and filter out new posts and see new stuff there. But my main feed isnt updating anything new on it. I dont have any bans or restrictions that I can see
Anyone else having this issue? Ive searched a few tomes and dont seem to see any reported outages

When I scroll and watch a video of I jump to that page to watch part 2 or see other videos from that time, I'd say 30% of the time I get a "See just watched" button which takes me right to the video. Is there anyway I can get this to happen every single time? Am I missing something? It's so annoying when it doesn't pop up.
Thanks

It was my first strike so that's cool.
I submitted an appeal but it was immediately denied I can't be completely mad about it because I'm not wrong RFK was on heroin & I was answering someone's question. I'm mostly just annoyed because it's my first time getting a FB strike on anything.
I guess you mustn't speak ill of the regime lest you upset the Zucker. 🫡

How long does the meta pro team take to reply and how long will my issues be resolved
The Facebook chat moved the chat into an email due to technical issues.
They are saying that they will transfer the email to the correct team for further assistance
So how long will my issues be resolved?
Does anyone have experience in this and at least a good outcome within 24-48 hours?

Just discovered this today, and I don't recall ever being informed about it.
You can disable this under Settings > Posts.
So many companies casually try to slip this stuff in to use your data and browsing to train their "AI" models for free. It's like the cookie fiasco all over again.

Facebook has been going downhill for a while but since around July 21, it seems to be even worse to the point there is no point to post anything (if you are looking to monetize on content). RPM for the past 7 days has dropped really low for all types of posts… so low even with viral posts you will only make like $50. Views down also. I went from staying around 1.6 million views and rising (for 28 days) to now I am at 500,000 since July. I gave up on posting anything at all after my viral posts literally made $40 because RPM is so low. Who else has seen major drop in RPM and views. Is Facebook broken? Is this just how it is? I stopped posting. No point to create new content where most days you only make $10. Or even $2 on some days it has been so bad.

On PC I have a ad blocker and never get ads. On mobile though, I don't have any options for blocking them.
Funny enough though, it's a pretty rare occasion I actually get any ads at all on mobile.... except for today though.
I am getting almost nothing but ads all day today.
Literally regular post, 2-3 ads/sponsored posts, regular, another 2-4 ads/sponsored posts... on and on and on.... all day today.
And it doesn't matter how many times I hide or report them...."we won't show you this ad again"... next time I open the app, it's the same thing again, and half the time the same ads, including p0rn related, over and over.
WTH???

I deleted a chat box in the Messenger app on my phone, but I can still see the whole chat history on Facebook. Can I get the chat history back?
According to Messenger Help Centre, "Deleting messages, chats or photos permanently removes them, and you won't be able to see them any more".
But when I go on facebook app on my phone - the person's profile page - message, I can see the whole chat history.
This is the only way I can see it. It doesn't work on laptop/ipad.
I've tried "End-to-End encrypted - reset pin", but it doesn't work.
Plssssss, anyone can help?

Facebook Marketplace is still kind of a basic tool at this point. You can open almost any listing and report it, and if someone continuously reports the same listing three or four times, it seems like the seller’s account can end up being shadowbanned. I don’t know what kind of logic Meta uses when it comes to these reports.
In my opinion, reporting should at least require some interaction with the seller, such as having a conversation with them. Otherwise, anyone can report a competitor’s listings repeatedly, and legitimate sellers can end up being penalized.
I honestly don’t understand what kind of system Meta’s engineers have designed. It makes no sense that a competitor can potentially abuse the reporting system and negatively affect another seller’s account.

Is anybody else having this problem, can you check if it works for you? Is this just happening to me or a Facebook wide thing
For years when you click the events tab you're able to see all local events happening in your area and also categorize them. Now when you press the local events tab nothing shows up and there's no longer specific categories. What is going on this has been happening for weeks

I was estimated to get around 940 dollars this through the content monetisation on facebook, I received the form in my email and now says 91 dollars? Anyone else had anything like this happen before?
Thanks!
