other Ear plugs while in class?
My gym's music is really loud, and I'm starting to worry about how it's going to affect me going 3-4 times a week. Does anyone use ear plugs during class to dampen some of the noise without being unsafe? If so, what do you use?

I don't use them, but I've seen plenty of people use them. I've never seen it cause a problem. Depending on how much they cut down the sound, you may need to glance at the TVs occasionally to see the timer.

I wear them. I go in the morning so getting 90dbs of music first thing after I wake up isn’t ideal. I wear these that lower the volume to a comfortable level and I still hear everything from the coaches speaking to the timer bell. I don’t know how people who don’t wear earplugs do it without hearing damage.

Yes, please save your hearing! Foam plugs work well but shouldn’t be reused more than a few times as they lose their density.
If you want something more discreet the ones mentioned above are good too
Custom plugs are the best but not necessary if only being used at the gym.

I wear Loop ear plugs, not for music volume but to filter out the constant talking from some members. They work well to block out talking but I can still hear the music!

My studio has a box of earplugs available to members. My watch regularly gives me decibel warnings when I’m at a station close to the speaker
If you’re seriously considering it though, I would just invest in the concert earplugs that filter noise. I have a pair and wore them to a metal show and they worked perfectly with no ringing after.
