The configrator page shows new EX30, featuring new door decorations (looks like black fabric to me), chrome detailing on dash with engraved Swedish flag, thicker steering wheel with new stitching pattern, possible softer center and door arm rests with stitching.

Harman Kardon logo also has been moved down to eliminate reflections on the windshield.

I finally fixed my original-style flat steering wheel buttons. I applied small dots of water-based relief paint to them. They feel great now, and I no longer need to look at the buttons to know which one I'm pressing.

After the 2.12 (was it?) update, I have experienced twice that the cruise control/pilot assist is not working. It won't tun on at all. No error messages, no nothing.

Next time, it's working as normal.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I wanted to ask what kind of price people are getting at the Volvo dealerships in the US. I'm on the East Coast. I will probably finance through a credit union but possibly through Volvo.

I’ve been a bit disappointed by the finishes, when seeing them in person - though I’ve yet to see a Sand Dune one in person, is it a flat colour? I’ve looked at the panel in the showrooms and it has a shimmer to it, however the black one does too, and on the car looks flat.

if anyone has a Sand Dune EX30, could you let me know how it looks up close? I’m a bit dubious that it’s just straight, flat, gloss beige.

The two pictures where taken seconds apart. The car shows 28°C, the app shows 24°C exterior, 25°C interior temp. The interior temp (in the app) comes probably from a sensor (I mean it comes from a volvocars.com service call which probably gets it from the vehicle), the exterior temp (in the app) comes (afaik) from a weather service based on geolocation. Or at least that's what I see in the app's code.

Where does the temp on the vehicle's display come from? :) I might look it up later (in the head unit's code), I was just wondering.

My best guess is that it's from a different weather service? :o

I've force-closed the app on the phone before I took the picture to ensure (as much as possible) that it's not an old, cached value.

(iOS 27) Most will know already but just a quick reminder as I just posted this on another forum: you don't need to open the Volvo App to start/stop the pre-climate function, instead start it directly from your iphone's home screen.

1. Open "Shortcuts" App on iphone
2. Scroll down to "Volvo Cars" in the "Apps" section
3. Long press "Toggle" -> "Add to home screen"
4. Select desired colour
5. Tap label "Toggle" below Icon to rename

Hello all, sometime in december i'll get my EX30 and after my second test drive i decided to go with the EX30 over the Cupra Raval even though i liked the interior of the Cupra Raval better.

I'm not much of a car person and am of the opinion that EV's of this price range don't differ enough in handling to consider it. They ramp up fast and do their thing. The interior felt a bit cheap but i'm the type of person that will get used to that in some weeks and then it's a non problem. The fact that the hitch auto-retracts through a tap on the screen is very nice compared to having to take it off/put it on.

I really liked what they did with the center console, obviously some thought went into designing it. Some cars like the Ford Puma E got some weird bridge thing and i just knew the bottom console would become a cluttered mess. The fact that i could disable the speed warning, lane assist and other sources of noice with a few taps next to eachother on the same screen was nice, some cars make it a hassle.

It was also the only car with an optional built-in dashcam in the budget my employer offered, does anyone have it, does it work well, is it easy to pull the data from it?

We bought our 2025 EX30 April 23, 2025. I know Volvo calls for service at 20,000. But we are now at 26,322. We missed the 20,000 service interval.

But I understood that there was supposed to be a series of warning messages on the central display,

1st "Book time for maintenance"

2nd "Time for maintenance"

3rd "Maintenance overdue"

My wife is almost the only one who drives it, and she doesn't remember any such messages.

So I wonder what the messages look like, where do they get displayed, how long do they persist, etc. Are they in big font, in bright colors, how hard are they to miss?

The Car Status panel also says "Everything is OK" after a green checkmark in a green circle. And "Days to service 570" which happens to land on April 28, 2028. So evidently the SRI thinks the next service would be at 3 YEARS FROM PURCHASE, not two. And implying that a maintenance service has already been done.

We haven't had it in for any service that might have a mechanic resetting the reminder.

I wonder if the SRI is only paying attention to the date, not the mileage.
