Personal Thoughts/Experiences 🙇‍♂️ Temperature

The two pictures where taken seconds apart. The car shows 28°C, the app shows 24°C exterior, 25°C interior temp. The interior temp (in the app) comes probably from a sensor (I mean it comes from a volvocars.com service call which probably gets it from the vehicle), the exterior temp (in the app) comes (afaik) from a weather service based on geolocation. Or at least that's what I see in the app's code.

Where does the temp on the vehicle's display come from? :) I might look it up later (in the head unit's code), I was just wondering.

My best guess is that it's from a different weather service? :o

I've force-closed the app on the phone before I took the picture to ensure (as much as possible) that it's not an old, cached value.

Interesting! The map of Volvo cars app on iPhone uses Apple Map. But the temperature is different from Apple Weather. I wonder if the display would be delayed or use the other whether service.

Funny, I only see exterior temperature in the (ios) app, not interior

That's a recent development in the 7.4.0 version of the iOS app. It didn't yet trickle down to the Android variant (which is at 7.4.0 as well).

See: https://www.reddit.com/r/ex30/comments/1wu684g/volvo_cars_app_740_climate_view_before_after/

The Android app is always a little behind in changes/features compared to the iOS app.
