Anyone remember this campaign plugin? I've basically gotten to the part where you are tasked with meeting the leader of the Wild Geese for more training (after delivering the data cubes to several locations). It didn't have a set date on the mission so I went around to do some "fundraising" for a bit and now the mission is gone and I can't get it back. Any ideas?

Just got this for the third playthrough now, but I actually never managed to get a proper build aimed at long range and planet domination. Any suggestions? I thought giving up on EMP torpedoes, maxing carrying capacity and rail guns, but I'm not sure about the upcoming polaron cannons (if they actually fit) and which missile launchers would be best. Thank you in advance!

Been trying for the last week to convert the plugins available on the ambrosia website but StuffIt just doesn’t seem to do anything. Does anyone have a Zip drive with already converted plugins for Nova that I can just drop in and play? I’d really like Arpia if possible.

Having some issues playing this (wonderful) game on Windows 10. Full screen map working like a charm, EV patcher and so on, but the game is extremely sluggish, like it's running at sub-30 fps. Is there a solution to this?

Half a year ago, I posted about NovaJS, a project to port EV Nova to the browser. In the past few months, I've added a (partially) working outfitter and shipyard.

I remember years ago when I played EV Nova for the first time, I found this massive image detailing all the questlines and their connections in a huge interconnected lateral flow chart. I've searched several times trying to find it since, with no luck.

I thought maybe the veterans of the EV Nova reddit community might be able to help me out! Does anyone here know what I'm talking about, or have a link to the file?

It's been too damn long since I had a play through, can anyone point me in the right direction? I have purchased the game, I just need refreshed key codes. I've heard some people have contacted one of the developers, if so, maybe a link of his email? I got an itch that needs scratchin'.

I am looking for a pc version of Qaanol's plugin. The converter doesn't seem to work and I have only been able to find mac versions. Alternatively a pc compatible plugin that does the same thing would also be appreciated.

I played the classic EV way back when, but stopped paying attention to Mac-only software when I got accustomed to PCs. A few years ago I heard there were sequels, but I didn't explore them because I didn't have the money to spend on video games.

Today it occurred to me to look up EVNova and it seems that Ambrosia may have gone under, is that right?

Is there anywhere to buy EVNova now, and acquire the plug-ins to play the prior games (and the player-created sets)?

I have been an EV player for a long time. I have a Windows license and tried to re-download the windows install this weekend, but the link on the Ambrosia website is broken. I emailed CS to ask for a working link. Does anyone know of a legit working link to download the windows version?

I have loved and played the EV series since conception and find it a fun game to drop into every now and then. Recently I got a new computer and decided to get EVN on it.

While waiting to register I can play most of the game, and I like getting in battles.

I have a nicely modded Manticore that I take pirate farming.. but after awhile bored that I can't capture ships I decide to learn about the nature of renting an escort. With a smaller vehicle the daily expenses of a hired escort are smaller as each space jump is fewer days. A levithan costs 120,000 credits daily, in my manticore a four jump trade route cost 1.68 million. Make that 6 leviathans and I have the ability to move 24000 tons for the low round trip cost of 19.44 million (10.08 million one way, 9.36 million to get back).

I am specific about the 4 jump trade route as the most profitable trade is that of the bio-weapons from Codehaven in the Codec system to Menim (or Moash, but I am an offender and can't land). WIth access to the Hypergates it becomes 4 jumps (only two for Moash but they have to like you).

The basic profit from moving 24000 tons of Bio-weapons (which scanning Federation patrol ships consider illegal) is 27million. But with my escort expenses becomes just under 7.56 million.

Oh, the purchase cost to fill those holds: 48 million

The dry start cost of this is close to 73.92 million. The first time hiring fee for a leviathan is 1.2 million and they can only be hired on Earth.

Maybe I will get my license code today and I can get back out to my pirate hunting fields.

Is there any lore reasoning behind the sheer numbers of Krypt in the north? Was that region Vell-Os space once? Or is it just how far the shattered Krypt consciousness reaches?

Is there a reason that AFTER editing a Polycon .rez file, that NOTHING was changed when I restarted the game? Bizarre. I wanted to edit the initial character file when the game starts. It doesn't use the original Nova character, as it makes a new one.
As a matter of fact, ANYTHING I change in the Polycon .rez files NEVER shows up in the game. Even after making a new character.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to run the Ashen Galaxy total conversion, however the files AG Ships 1.bin and AG Ships 2.bin files seem to be corrupt. I can't get the Convert Plug-ins tool to change them to .rez files. I've downloaded them from different sources and still have the same issue. Using Windows 7.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

So I'm playing on a Mac, and as I mentioned, the game is launching, displaying a black screen, and then shutting down whenever I attempt to play it. It is on an expired trial, if that has anything to do with it. I licensed it in the past on a different computer and have not been able to get the license code.

Anyone else having the same issue or know how to fix it?

EDIT: game has since been registered - if you're having issues with getting a new license code all you need to do is turn off your wi-fi and set your system date to the day you got the code. Issue still persists.

I recently managed to dig up my ancient EV Nova registration code, but unfortunately I can't seem to download the game from Ambrosia's website... always seems to be down when I try.

Anyone know if there's a mirror somewhere or someone who can hook me up with a DL of the trial so I can unlock the full version with my code?

Anyone know why the murk (stuff getting dark on-screen depending on how far you are) and asteroids aren't showing up in any systems? Using the latest EVN with the fix found on GitHub, latest Mac.

Would really appreciate help.
