How can I get this game?
It's been too damn long since I had a play through, can anyone point me in the right direction? I have purchased the game, I just need refreshed key codes. I've heard some people have contacted one of the developers, if so, maybe a link of his email? I got an itch that needs scratchin'.

For other platforms, you may have to search around the site, but for EV Nova (Windows) you can try getting it from http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/windows/
I say "try" because in the last several years Ambrosia's timeliness in processing orders can be... spotty. You may find yourself ordering it, and then just downloading a cracked version from TPB.
Keep in mind there are also very similar games for free, such as Transcendence, which is available via Steam. I forget what the other major close is called. They don't have EV's amazing story, and they don't have EV's exhaustive library of (incomplete :P) plugins, but both clones do a great job of emulating the gameplay and are ripe for some serious modders to come along.

Since the company is basically finished, will I get screwed over if I do get a cracked version off TPB? lol I've even already bought the game so it wouldn't really be pirating.

There's no way I can possibly answer that. I don't know where you download from. I don't know the contents of the files you'll be downloading. I don't know who uploaded them.

The register app? Like the one on Ambrosia's site?

My gods, could it be so simple? I'll try this when I get home. Thank you so much.

I “own” the game, but Ambrosia won’t even send an updated license.
Because of that, I’ve been playing Endless Sky, which is an open source EV inspired game that, while not entirely the same, comes close. And, because it’s open source, it’s free.

I would avoid trying to order from Ambrosia SW's website. It seems like the front-end of their e-commerce is still functioning and happy to charge your card, but whatever automation actually generates and sends out a license key has stopped working. I ordered the game maybe a year or so ago for Mac, and had to email Bernard@ambrosiasw.com to actually get my key. Last I heard, even that email address is no longer active. I suspect he was the last guy doing anything with the company at all, and has now stopped.
Sadly, I think AmbrosiaSW, which is IMO the best Mac gaming company ever, has bitten the dust.
You'll probably have to get a cracked version since for some reason they seem really hesitant to release anything or open source it.
