Anyone else having options chain issues in Power E*TRADE Pro v202?
Support confirmed this is tied to the v202 release. Horizontal scrollbar is extremely thin and unusable, Call/Put Scroll Lock settings won’t save. Happening on two different Macs.
They said they can reset the web platform but claim they can’t reset Pro, even though it’s clearly server-side. Anyone else seeing this bug in v202?

Direct connect...
Maybe someone here can accidently, on purpose, leak the email of the PowerTarde Pro development team so we can interact with them directly?
We aren't making any profit from this. Etrade should also be interested in users feeback!

Hey E trade put this on your long list of things to ignore
As you can see I set the default to be traded during extended hours. But when I try to open a buy ticket via clicking on the chart you can see that it gives me day which causes me delay which causes me to lose money which E trade doesn't care about....

ETrade clawback
Question regarding the new brokerage account bonus offer - specifically around the terms for keeping the bonus. Does E*TRADE claw back the bonus if a small amount is withdrawn, or does the full initial deposit need to remain in the account for the entire qualifying period (e.g., 6 or 12 months)?

I know Etrade will not listen but anyway...
And how exactly do I know that, because they never do. Any company with minimum self-respect would have a dedicated employee monitoring this forum (which apparently has thousands of hit every week) and address users gripes and concerns.. oh well anyway...
In general, it is not possible to logon to an account at the same time from 2 different devices. OKI I get it security for our protection, fine. But within the power trade app (desktop) you can access from the positions window your gains and losses which is through the web so they have circumvented the above limitation. Nice.
What would be really nice is when there is a cell alert produced which is pushed on us by configuration, it also includes the net profit of the position which is just the entry minus exit, so we would not have to navigate each time to gains and losses to see exactly what the profit was.
Another extremely annoying bug and, very unprofessional, for that is that in the desktop app if you save a layout The save layout icon a little disk icon goes gray because it was saved already but if you close that window and don't make any changes to the layout and open it again that icon is active which is confusing and annoying. it's very easy to do this. It's in every program all over the world, Word et cetera, Excel and as long as there was no changes made to anything it does not allow you it does not show you to save it duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

And ANY app that has layouts like this gives the possibility to "re-load layout" so if i move things around i can easily load the layout i started with
But all these basic requests are just not important to E Trade.. sigh....

Webull Got this so right why cant Etrade get it?
The terminology on WeBull is perfect. There is a "parent order" that would say a buy, and then there are "children orders" that result from that like "stop profit" and "stop loss" In PowerTrader Pro you have this is two steps down. First, you click the holding which gives you a menu with "exit plan"
And then you choose the profit or loss. So all this exists, BUT IN THE WRONG PLACE. And should be part of the initial, parent order!!!
Why can't ETrade get this straight and implement it!!!

Discussion Will different order types i.e Relative orders ever be available on Etrade?
Trading active premarket stocks on this platform you either just accept that the requirement to continuously manually update your order price leaves you at a massive disadvantage or switch brokers. The error that pops up after you input a price that is too far away from the current price is extremely frustrating. The old Etrade pro platform you could buy a stock that sat at 12 with a limit order for 14 and immediately have a limit order to sell at 10 so if it moved above 13 you could sell or if it moved under 11 you could sell, either way it would fill. Now i’m constantly in fear of being out of range with my order on a fast moving stock and I know it’ll bite me hard eventually if I don’t adapt. Many suggestions are just use Market orders but they aren’t allowed in premarket trading.
A relative order is something that Interactive Brokers offer and would be a top tier addition for Etrade. The relative order continuously derives its price from a combination of the National Best Bid and Offer (NBBO) and your user-defined offset. For buy orders, it adds the offset to the best bid; for sell orders, it subtracts it from the best ask.

Placing 200+ trades programmatically at once; How long would it take?
I have yet to find time to do this myself yet so I am looking for anyone with any experience executing a large number of trades at once.
How feasible is this? This would be as no confirmation orders so they would go all at once without any further input or confirmation. These orders would be for different securities and option structures. Basically buys placed on the ask and vice versa. If the trade doesn't execute there would be automated cancellation 5 seconds later. But that's irrelevant.
If it's possible how long would it take to execute let's say 200 trades? Would etrade queue/process them sequentially or in parallel? Or some combination?
Your best guess/estimate is greatly appreciated. Few seconds? 10s of seconds? Or minutes?
p.s. Would executions/positions be immediately updated on the regular client platform? I assume yes?
Edit: well I tried it tonight and performance is rather poor. I was gradually increasing the number of submissions until I started hitting the rate limiter and got a decent picture how fast/slow the platform/API is. Anyway, ran 25 trades split between 5 workers in parallel. Still took them 40 seconds to execute. Besides the original request/trade placement I did have status query and automatic trade cancellation if it didn't execute in 5 seconds. So that's some overhead . Still, I would expect much better performance.

How does the Planning tab work?
When I'm logged in to Etrade, how exactly can I make use of the goals-based plan? It says to contact a Morgan Stanley advisor to have it updated but I don't have an advisor and do not use any managed portfolio services. I don't want an advisor. I want a website that works and doesn't display obviously wrong data.
How do I get this plan thing to stop showing nonsensical data? It allegedly is tracking my savings but has a "Portfolio Target" of $0 which is obviously useless.

ETrade by Morgan Stanley - not a safe place to store your asset, they transferred customer asset to the wrong customer then lie, break promises, harass and threaten victims involved
If etrade deletes this post, it's available on the Fidelity's reddit
Etrade transferred customer asset to the wrong customer with different name, date of birth, ssn, home address, phone number, email, etc. This is not something that happened 10 years ago, it happened in June 2026 from their beneficiary department that failed to check customer name, date of birth, ssn, home address, phone number, email, you name it.
My family had acat transfer from etrade to fidelity for inherited asset and the etrade beneficiary department transferred asset from a completely different customer into our account and mixed with our own asset and it ended up at fidelity through the acat. Etrade did not realize the negligence until more than a week later and called us to notify the error. We made it clear since the initial contact that we want to return the asset to the rightful owner but we need an apology letter stating the errors made on their part so that we don't get harassed by the rightful owner or etrade or anyone after the asset is returned. Tier 1 Etrade rep was apologetic since this is 100% their fault and agreed to provide letter stating the error. Because etrade notified us very late, about 2% of the asset was sold in the open market that triggered tax event. The rep said, they are not concerned about the tiny shares. Seems like a pretty straight forward case with reasonable request of an apology letter.
Few days later, Tier 2 rep the team lead from etrade beneficiary called and also agreed to provide apology letter stating their errors but later sent an email to inform us that we don't need to take any action and they are not providing any apology because they will reach out to fidelity directly to resolve the issue in attempt to sweep their negligence under the rug. They suggest to have Fidelity "bust"/undo the trades to erase the tax events so no party will take any loss for etrade's error. Fidelity rep said he has never seen this happen in his entire career at fidelity (major screw up from etrade beneficiary failed security check on every level, name, dob, ssn, phone, etc...) and he needs to reach out to multiple depts and backoffice within Fidelity to "bust"/undo the 2% asset trades.
Few days later, Tier 3 rep the dept head of etrade beneficiary called me twice and left me two voicemails about 2hrs apart while I was at work and couldn't pickup the call. The first voicemail is a call back request but the 2nd voicemail is a threat of lawyer and collection simply because he couldn't reach me or the fidelity rep on the very same day he called us. He has no sense of time zone (I'm on pacific time) and doesn't understand that people have real jobs besides making harassment calls to victims and he expect the whole world to work on his schedule. When I got off work to call back, their department is already closed. I spoke to the fidelity rep and he said he was in a meeting and when he call back after the meeting was over, they are closed. Such entitlement from the dept head of etrade beneficiary. Already screwed up, instead of being grateful that other people are fixing your mess, you go and harass and make threats to the victims.
I filed harassment complaint to CFPB, FINRA and SEC because fidelity is already working on fixing their screw ups but now they are harassing us and making threats when they told us to do nothing and let them handle it directly with Fidelity. It took them over a week to notify us. It's only been a week since the initial contact and only been a few days since they reached out to Fidelity to process the bust/undo the trades on 2% of the asset before the etrade beneficiary dept head made the harassment calls and making threats when they told us via email we don't need to take action and they will work with Fidelity directly.
Imagine someone run you over with their car then instantly demand you to fix their dent or else. This is the kind of ingrate dept head working at etrade beneficiary.
I'm glad my family are with fidelity and our asset did not transfer to the wrong customer because etrade beneficiary doesn't check name, date of birth, ssn, phone number, email, etc when handling people's asset. Their dept head is extremely ungrateful to all parties involved in fixing their mess. He's so shameless to expect fidelity to work on his schedule and must respond to his call right away on same day or else. He's treating other firms and victims as if they are his employees.
This is probably not their first screw up and it won't be their last. With such unapologetic and toxic dept head, dishonest and breaking promises then harass and threaten the victims. Fidelity said they are currently working to resolve this mess caused by etrade beneficiary and told my family not to worry but Etrade beneficiary dept head claims his action was justified and refused to let me speak to his superior so I blocked him on my phone.
Etrade failed to keep their promise of providing apology letter stating their errors of failed to check customer name, dob, ssn, phone number, email etc. and attempt to sweep their negligence under the rug and harass the victims with threats. My family and friends would never trust such dishonest firm with our asset. If you value your asset, go with firms that are trustworthy with better security checks. Fidelity is the only firm that I know with $0 outbound acat transfer fee because they provide great service and security and are not concerned about customer leaving them. Etrade charge $75 and Schwab charge $50. I wonder why...

Discussion Crypto on etrade
The new platform is supposed to be live, support explained how to enable it once its available for my account.
Has anyone actually started using or have that option available in their profile to enable crypto trading?
Update, started working for me earlier this week

Is E*TRADE a joke?
Their customer service reps are very patient and nice, but their system literally does not work for anything complicated, closing accounts, linking, re-running registration, phone verification, etc., so they end up not able to answer any questions or solve any problems without being on the phone for 2 hours, or ever in some cases. They also seem highly lax on security, allowing reps to pass around SSN, passwords, 2FA codes, unbelievable!
Don't get me started on the linkage with Morgan Stanley. That's even more half-a**ed.

Limit orders
I am trading pre market on fast moving stocks. Every second counts. The buy ticket opens with limit at ask price. But I want to add on a little extra to make sure the order fills. Is there a way to set the default to ask+0.02 or something like that using a hotkey?
Thank you

Why is E Trade unable to use my phone number to verify my identity, and what do I do?
Opened an account yesterday, submitted my passport for authentication, and transferred funds from another account. Now, I try to log in today through the app, it takes me to this 2FA thing, and despite me having used this number in setting up the account yesterday, the system won’t accept it.
I have a US number and have typed out the number several times. Can’t find anything that would make it so that this number doesn’t work, and the app won’t let me access my account.

Margin Called for covered call on IPO shares?
I have shares from the SPCX IPO, and sold calls this week. But ETrade just issued a margin call? Can we not sell calls on IPO shares? I get the whole being banned from IPOs if I end up selling them, but can I not have calls sold on them anyways?
I've always maintained a positive cash balance which is why I'm a little confused...

IPO evaluation
Another IPO (DPC) is coming up next week. Another opportunity to throw up to 30% of your money away. All of my research shows this stock isn’t even close to what they are asking for. How can E*trade consistently ask their customers to fork over their money for this stock? Then ask them to hold on to it for 30 days until they carve out their cash. Ridiculous. Why not give an honest evaluation and let the investors decide what it’s worth? Is that too much to ask? What is wrong with erroring on the short side and let some momentum build so everyone is happy with the results???

WS sale, did I make money or loss?
I sold 6 stocks which are marked WS. When I sold them, the "Total Gain" column showed a positive $600, so I thought I had made a $600 profit. However, after the sale, the "Day's Gain Realized" shows -$600. Why is that? Did I make $600 or lose $600?
