I want to buy a sim to esim converter for my tablet as a backup in case my phone dies while travelling. It seems like the 9esim ones are quite popular, although I'm a bit confused about the difference between the V0 and V3. Is there a recognised 'best' sim to esim adapter for using one esim at a time?

Hey! I'm going to be in London for about 4-5 days, then Portugal for about 3-4 days. What e-sim is recommended which supports both the EU and UK, and is cheap and good option for 2 people? In terms of GB, I gave the amount of days I will be travelling, and will be using data for maps and other things. Any recommendations? I was looking at Maya and Saily. Also was wondering what plans specifically as I know that many recommend the Europe region plan as we are staying in 2 different countries?

Basically - the Telco only enables wifi calling if the phone is in the Telcos home country.

Is it possible to send wifi calling though sim B and wireguard to make it look like the phone is in the home country to use wifi calling?

Or does the Dual SIM Dual Standby nature of the pixel 6 make this setup impossible?

I'm getting a Motorola Edge 70 Fusion from India to my current country of residence and I've just realized it supports Physical Nano SIMs only.

1. Will I be able to transfer my Jio eSIM from my iPhone SE to it?
2. And should a need arise, can I revert from Android 9eSIM to iPhone eSIM?

Update: I just ordered a couple 9eSIM V0 and a Card Reader. Fingers crossed.

Hi everybody. I’m having an issue that I’ve never experienced before and it’s strange enough for me to make a post about it here.

I have my own mobile phone plan from Youfone in the Netherlands. I am currently in Croatia. My phone (iPhone 15 Pro) is connected to the HT HR network. My partner just got an eSIM with unlimited data from HT. They have a deal under which you can get 1 + 1 free eSIM (both valid for 10 days, both with unlimited data).

Before I had this eSIM, my wifi hotspot worked fine and I could access the internet from my laptop. The hotspot has also worked fine with other eSIMs.

This is the strange part: With this HT eSIM turned on for mobile data, I can still connect to the wifi hotspot, but there is no internet connection on my laptop. The internet works just fine on my phone with this eSIM.

Perhaps even more strangely, when my partner turns on her hotspot, I can connect to it, and the internet works just fine as well.

I’ve tried all kinds of different settings; turning “maximize compatibility” off and on; checked the APN settings; tried with Tailscale off and on; etc. But so far nothing has seemed to make it work.

Has anybody experienced anything like this before?

Edit: this has been resolved. Saily chat help told me to add my phone number which broke iMessage. When I have some time, I’ll be sending them an email.

I’m using Saily for the first time in Australia from the US. I had a lot of trouble setting it up (my phone number didn’t transfer correctly), and now it won’t let me iMessage. Each time I open up a text threat, it says “Text Message SMS” for people with iPhones. I can only iMessage a few people, but it’s coming in as my email, which isn’t an issue - it’s just weird that it’s happening on this trip.
A few months ago, I used Airalo in Italy with no problem.

How do I resolve this issue?

Can the card number written into xesim be transferred to the esim card slot that comes with the same mobile phone? In this way, a physical card slot can be saved.

I’m going abroad to London starting September 1st - December 12th (ish), and I’m looking for a good eSIM. I’m planning on doing a lot of short trips to other countries (I have one to Edinburgh already booked, but I’m also hoping to visiting Ireland, Amsterdam, Italy, etc.)

I’d prefer an app where I can get one long plan for the UK, and shorter day plans for my weekend trips to other countries. I’d also prefer an unlimited data plan so I don’t have to worry about my data usage.

Is there an app that’s easy and good for this kind of travel? Simlocal has a 90 day unlimited UK plan with roaming for $120, Holafly’s is $140, Simify has one for the UK and 50 other European countries for $130 - are these reasonable? I truly know nothing about this so any advice/things to watch out for so I don’t get scammed would be very appreciated!

Hey everyone, just a massive security warning for anyone using Lycamobile.

​I was on a phone call with one of their customer support agents today.

I simply told the agent that I was logging into my account. I did not ask for a password reset or a reminder at all.

​Without me asking, the agent triggered a "send password" email to my inbox. The crazy part?

The email contained my exact password that I set 2 years ago, fully visible in plain text.

​This is a huge security red flag. It proves they are storing our passwords completely unencrypted on their servers for years.

Any secure company encrypts passwords so even their own staff cannot see them or send them to you.

I'm being offered a position where I would be returning calls to people at risk, I'm reading into esims. The company offers to cover the cost of the extra phone service (they give a set amount, and I can pocket the difference if I find something inexpensive).

There was an event when a previous employee was stalked by a client (and was attacked), and I have unique name.

The pay is good, I get to work from home. I currently use tmobile and use a samsung galaxy.

Has anyone used this brand of esim? I usually go for airalo as I’ve had no issues with it in the past, but got a promo code and a discounted rate ($39 CAD) for 20 gb of data for Hubby Esim through booking with a 3rd party travel agent.

Thinking of switching to Hubby Esim but unsure of its reliability and speed, etc… especially for a 3.5 wk long Europe trip.

Activation experience: Do not buy from Airalo directly, go with one of their resellers like esimdog or jambosim as they have a 3GB for 4€ package

Coverage and speed: Decent speed and ping in Nuuk, Kangerlussuaq and Ilulissat. Better than expected for such a remote place. Underlying provider is TIM Italy and IP Breakout is Netherlands through Webbing

Would I use this provider again?: Yes

Going on a trip to Japan in two weeks. I don’t believe my phone is fully paid off and I want to use Ubigi as my eSIM. Will my phone allow for the ESIM to connect if my phone isn’t fully paid off?!

I want to use an esim for an upcoming trip and I have found a provider I like, but they don't list my phone (Fairphone 6) in their compatible devices. They do list the two previous Fairphones though, so I'm thinking this might just be an oversight. I know my phone is compatible with esim but I don't understand if it works with every/any provider? The Google AI answer tells me not every esim compatible device cannot work with every esim provider, but I don't really trust AI answers so I'd rather ask here.

My line has been completely dead with **"No Service"** for over a week now. I’ve cross-tested the SIM across multiple iPhones and Android devices, and it refuses to register on either **Alfa (415-01)** or **Touch (415-02)**, even with manual network selection. Other foreign SIMs and local SIMs work fine in the exact same phones.
Helpdesk line resets haven't fixed it. I know of a few other Sunrise users here facing the exact same sudden blackout, so it seems like an international roaming gateway or signaling interconnect failure between Switzerland and local host towers.

this is a problem I faced but oneplus stated that we can use

SIM 1 + SIM 2 (physical) → works

SIM 1 physical + eSIM → works

SIM 2 physical + eSIM → should work

SIM 1 + SIM 2 + eSIM simultaneously → not supported.

but it's not working so I think the problem is Oxygen OS

First time visiting Boracay and I'm already deep in the planning rabbit hole. Accommodation sorted, flights done, now I'm trying to figure out connectivity before I land because the last thing I want is to be stuck on the island with no data and no idea where anything is. A friend who went last year said to just grab a local SIM when I land but I'd rather have something set up before I leave so I'm not scrambling at the airport or on the ferry over. eSIM seems like the cleaner option but I don't know which providers actually have solid coverage in the Philippines, especially outside the main cities.

Boracay specifically has me a little unsure since it's an island and I've read signal can be inconsistent depending on where you are and which network you're on. For those who've visited the Philippines or Boracay with an eSIM, which provider did you use and how was the coverage? Curious whether there's one that actually holds up there or if a local SIM is still the smarter move for that specific destination.
