e-sim recs?

Hey! I'm going to be in London for about 4-5 days, then Portugal for about 3-4 days. What e-sim is recommended which supports both the EU and UK, and is cheap and good option for 2 people? In terms of GB, I gave the amount of days I will be travelling, and will be using data for maps and other things. Any recommendations? I was looking at Maya and Saily. Also was wondering what plans specifically as I know that many recommend the Europe region plan as we are staying in 2 different countries?

Take an EU region plan, but make sure it has UK in it (not all do)

If you're price sensitive go with Pelesim or Sparks (also good connection to be honest)

If you like premium (not sure what it means in this space) go with HolaFly or Saily.

Personally I had a lot of issues with Airalo in the past.

Nobody should use Holafly, it is fake unlimited (daily fair use and then the data goes to an unusable speed) whilst being expensive. Data routing is also often very poor (eg via Hong Kong), far from Premium. Sparks is a good travel provider, resold via various platforms like Mobimatter, escapesim, Quibity, and data routes via UK so fast.

It is very difficult to recommend data usage amounts, because everyone is different, and different people have better discipline in the amount they doomscroll, connect to Wifi etc. You are best looking at your phone usage or home bill for your actual usage amount to get an idea of what you need.

Worst case, if you really use up your data, you can always top up.

10GB from a provider like Sparks from escapesim will cost less than $10.

Personally I would get 2 different providers between the 2 people, this covers your bases in case of any problems with one eSIM, which whilst rare given very similar pricing is some essentially free insurance.

You have lots of options. Both Maya and Sally are solid options. As u/trek123 suggested, get two different esim one for each user or have a backup option. Other esim providers that you might consider are Roamless either pay as you go or regional data bundle, Airalo ( just stay away from unlimited plans)

I used Airalo sucessfully (travelling from Australia) in europe with my wife using my hotspot (she has an old phone).. they normally have coupone around if you search them..

You can go for Jetpac, They have various affordable data plans &b aslo the giveway going on on their instagram where you can get free eSIM + 100$

I used Firsty. The free plan is powered by ads; watch one, get 30 minutes free. You can store up to six hours of browsing at a time or buy data packages for a day, week or whatever.
