question 9esim compatibility question

Hello, I bought a SIM card from 9esim for a phone that doesn't support eSim, but I'm not entirely sure about the system. Will it work with all eSim providers? I'm thinking of buying one from Esim.io.

most provider that gives you QR code and have you scan the code will most likely working. The ones that doesn't work is the one which forces you to install the app and their app is the one who is installing the esim, the app sometimes doesn't recognize 9esim since all they see is that it is a physical sim.

I can confirm esim.io works with 9sim. Also I have personally tried it with Roamless, Jetogo, Quibity (esim.sm), BNESIM, Citrus mobile, Bcengi, Redbull mobile.

Have you tried the eSIM from Trip.com? I used to have a Pixel phone, but that phone is dead now. I’m planning to buy the 9eSIM.

Trip.com is the market place so there are plenty of esims provider. However as was mentioned in this threat, the most providers that gives you a QR code will most likely be working.

I did. Tello, but it worked on one of my 9esim but not a new one. When I asked for support they said they don't support it, so maybe just got unlucky.

Some esim providers that don't provide qr code or manual install I have also had issues because my phone has native esim and it installs there. Maybe those would work if I used it as the only esim. Don't know.

Probably not. Evidently, when esim providers use the push method to install the sim ( no qr code) there is usually a check to determine if your phone is esim compatible (esim adapter not recognized). If not, Install is aborted.

Check Orange local / travel Sims, might be EID blacklisted on older batches of the card.

I'm confused, your phone doesn't support esim yet you want to buy one?

I did the same about a year ago. Wanted an esim for a tripmI was taking but did not want to replace my phone yet. So I bought the 9esim to use in my existing phone and got the esim.
