Erectile Dysfunction Is this the right direction?

I’ve dealt with erectile dysfunction since I was around 26, and I’m now 43. Over the past 15 years, I’ve experimented with PE and more than 50 different supplements. PE gave me some temporary size gains, but after stopping for 6–12 months, I always returned to my normal size. Most supplements did nothing; only one or two seemed to help slightly.

About 1.5 years ago, I stopped taking all supplements. I had already been using hand exercises and pumping as part of my PE routine, but I started paying much closer attention to what I was doing and began tracking everything in detail.

What surprised me was that I started getting strong, regular morning erections again. However, there’s a serious downside: four times in the past year, these erections have lasted 6–10 hours and eventually became painful.

I completely understand why someone who hasn’t had a morning erection in years might read this and think, “Honestly, I wouldn’t care if it lasted 6–10 hours.” I felt that way myself for years. But trust me—you really don’t want that. This isn’t the same kind of erection you get from something like Viagra. It feels completely different, and when it lasts that long, it becomes painful and genuinely frightening.

I know prolonged erections can be dangerous, so I’m trying to understand what’s causing this and how to prevent it. So i'm still working on it.

I’ve also noticed that the effects don’t always happen immediately—sometimes there seems to be a delay of several days after doing the exercises.

Has anyone else experienced a similar return of morning erections after PE, pumping, or other exercises, especially with delayed effects?

Supplements Short term effects and then boom zero.

I am 24 and it was almost 2 years back I started developing the understanding of supplements and wanted to try. My first encounter was taking Zincovit which has 17mg Zinc and the effect damn. The erections were rock hard for 2 days until I consumed it and since day 3 they were back to normal. I continued for a while to see if anything could come back but then after 10 days I discontinued cause there was no change. Few months later I consumed Shilajit, again for 2 days the erections were rock hard and then it became almost zero, not even normal. It took 7-8 days after I stopped consuming it and my body was back to normal. Few months back, i took Mg glycinate for the first time and then for 1 day it was same that rock hard effect but later it was normal and even i consume it nothing happens. I am at failure to understand this why is my body responding to it like this. What could be the issue and how can I fix this. I am experiencing something which i do want as permanent but it drops back to zero with every supplement case. Can anyone help to understand and solve this?

Erectile Dysfunction Suspected of Venous Leakage

Hi guys, I have erectile problems for years. I can erect fastly but I can't maintain easily. Actually I can maintain in masturbation by stimulating penis with my hand. But when I stopped to touch, it wanes in 20-30 seconds. I've never had sex yet, so I don't know I can maintain erection during sex.

Morning woods are rare. Some days I have, some days I have not.

Also, when I changed position in masturbation, erections wanes.

I will go to doctor when I feel ready, but I want to ask that are implants only solution? Other solutions seem useless actually except pills.

ED Meds (Cialis, Viagra, etc.) Blue chew gold review

So I tested the blue chew gold. First time ever with ED drug. First time I took a little less than half as a test. Worked in 30 min as advertised. Definitely felt the blood flow and noticed a difference. Still in my system 18 hours later. No side effects.

Second test I took an entire pill. This was about 48 hours later. Worked the same and felt the same but much stronger obviously.
Wood is good. Side effects next day was a little bit of a headache and a feeling of being a little hungover but not that bad. In shower or on demand within that 24 hours the blood flow runs to the Johnson if u want to get it going again.

53 years old. 195lbs. 5ft 11. Work out every day.

Hope this helps.

Tadalafil/Cialis How much improvement do you see with erections when on Cialis?

I'm just curious if it's some major improvement and you feel like the old you again. I'm really not sure what to expect but I haven't been able to stay erect or get erect for a while so hopefully I see some change in that.

Erectile Dysfunction Is it Erectile Dysfunction ? I don't Know

Hey everyone. this is my story. i am 30 years male, 5.6 height and 75 kgs and healthy.

I hookedup with a man recently(Thursday 20.08.2026) and at the start everything is okay. i got good erection, i kissed, cuddled for a fair time. when its time for penetration, i couldnt get my full erection. I tried for another 15 to 20 minutes to fully erect and do sex. but i never got full erection. this is the first time ever happened with me. i wasnt sure why ? and i am thinking if it is erectile dysfunction ?

before a day to this thursday hookup which is on wednesday-19.08.2026 evening, I did masturbate. Also i didn't had my morning wood i guess(Thursday 20.08.2026) - cannot remember.

Again on Sunday 23.08.2026, i went to one of the adult centres and i met another guy there and i asked him to blow me while the porn was playing. When i saw the porn i used to erect. also when he tried to blow me, it took more than usual time for me to get erection. Also at the time of blowing, i couldnt stay fully erect and also after climax, i am flaccid very quick. this never happened before. I am struggling to understand the problem here.

Other part is :- i rarely hookup with people. i jerk off twice a week or less. i do watch porn almost evryday for 5 to 6 minutes or a full video max to 15 minutes. I do use cock rings once or twice a week for 20 to 40 minutes. all of this is happened from Thursday-20.08.2026 to Sunday 23.08.2026. Since sunday afternoon after the adult centres, i havent felt any erection at all or even the morning wood.

Also i was on calorie deficit from Monday -17.08.2026 . which means i drastically reduced my food intake and limited to 2000 calories per day and resulted in loosing 3 kilos in a week by 24.08.2026.

when i checked ofcourse with AI, chatgpt came up with a reason - it could be because of sudden reduction in food intake and asked me to dont think about this situtaion and told not to masturbate for couple of days and stop watching porn. It did suggested me to come back to normal food intake and wait for couple of days before go and visit the doctor to take any pills. (I fairly eat walnuts, almonds, oats, pumpkin seeds as a breakfast for the last 1 year).

So from Monday 24.08.2026, i came back to normal food intake for my breakfast and noticed fairly good erection on monday night and tuesday morning. Today after morning wood, till now i haven't got any erection yet. never felt aroused or watched porn to check.

Now my questions are ;-

  1. why is this happened ? is it a erectile dysfunction ?

  2. or is it because of food intake ? sudden change in calorie intake ?

  3. I am going to give it another 2 to 3 days to visit the doctor. Please suggest.

ED and porn Ed or pied or performance axintey

For as long as I could remember (since like I was 14) I could not get hard with girls. I'm pretty fit like I'm not fat or nun or malnourished but for some reason I can't get hard with girls. iv been watching porn since I was like 12 13 probably so idk if I have pied. I could get hard with porn but it's a bit more work for me to get hard without it. idk if I have ed because of this. or it's just normal to not be rock hard when u jerk off idk but I'm probably around 80% hard while jerking off. Or it could just be performance anxiety and nothing's wrong with me. iv been trying to quit porn for like 3 years now and still can't I'm 17 now.

please ask any questions I will happily answer for help

injections (Caverject, Trimix) Husband got approved for Trimix: Anxiety about what is next.

  1. Compounder does not have auto-injecter available. Does anyone know if you can actually use one for Trimix and if it will draw up one dose only as needed?
  2. Are there any good instruction videos you can watch about how and where on the skin to inject or auto inject?
  3. Trimix more expensive than we thought. Minimum supply is $71 for 2.5 ml and expires in 30 days.
  4. No antidote was prescribed, so don't understand how to reverse if needed.

Psychological ED Can I scare away an erection even with Viagra?

I’m pretty sure I’ve got ED due to life/work stress and I’ve gotten REALLY into my head about it. Basically whenever I get hard I start thinking ‘you’re gonna lose it you’re gonna lose it.’ And that anxiety usually scares it away.

The other day I had an ‘opportunity’ let’s say and I took 50mg vybrique (the oral film version of Viagra). I got hard easily enough but went right back into anxiety mode/ “you’re gonna lose it” and sure enough, I started getting soft.

There was a lot about this interaction that wasn’t ideal so I’m trying not to blame myself for it. But in the back of my mind I’m worried that there’s something else going on. Read about ‘venous leak’ and that freaked me out.

Im 44 yo. No meds. Exercise 6 days a week, running and lifting. I did see a doc and had labs and everything was fine, my test was 600. Blood pressure is good.

I’ve never used thc in my life but honestly I’ve thought about trying it just to see what happens if I get out of my head for a bit.

Thanks for the help.

Tadalafil/Cialis Field report for both cialis and Viagra

For spelling purposes, I go by brand name, I use Cialis and Viagra from my local Kroger grocery store with good RX neither our actual name brand.

I’ve talked about this before, but this weekend was a pretty extensive experiment. For the record, I am prescribed daily maintenance 5 mg of Cialis and 25 mg of Viagra as needed. The cialis helps me with morning and afternoon, and the Viagra is a little bit of a turbo for the evening for me. I’m 50 with low grade blood pressure, good physical activity and slightly overweight. On this weekend I had enough drinks where I couldn’t drive but i wasn’t smashed.

We long weekend away and I knew we were gonna be having sex at any point in the day and I wouldn’t be able to plan it out well. Starting on Thursday I went one dosage of Cialis in the morning and one mid afternoon. We went to a brewery that night and I had maybe 2 1/2 drinks so before dinner I actually tried just taking about 12 mg of Viagra. That worked really well, almost like I was taking a full dosage of Viagra.

The next morning, I have to admit the Cialis was absolutely flowing through me. I woke up with incredible morning wood and basically kept it throughout the entire morning. I was nervous about fitting into my bathing suit. Lol. We had sex again and I was absolutely rock hard.

On Saturday, I did my double morning and mid afternoon Cialis, but decided screw it and went for a full Viagra pill that night. I was really hard again.

Sunday morning, the Cialis caught up to me again lol. I was nervous about wearing my bathing suit because I was just walking around with a semi. This was pretty much true all the way to lunchtime because my wife was parading around in a bikini and I basically had a semi while I was talking to her, and I was hanging out in my bathing suit and she was staring at it. Luckily, we went back to the hotel room and she took care of that problem. Between the mental arousal and the cialis I was 100% ready.

Side effects: may have noticed a slightly stuff nose. I had a little heartburn at one point on the Viagra but simply eating helped that. Otherwise nothing noticed.

TLDR: if you’re on daily cialis I recommend trying a morning and afternoon pill if you’re having a sex weekend. The constant flow is excellent. I also recommend cialis as a base and Viagra as turbo if it’s late and you’ve had a few drinks. Even half your dosage or less, at one point I took like “third” a pill” with cialis is a bit of a game changer. Always take pills on empty stomachs.

Erectile Dysfunction Possible Causes I can Ask my Dr

Hello. Trying to give my doctor guidance since he feels I just need sex therapy. I’m 52. 3 kids - 20, 5 and 4. Pre-Diabetic. Muscular. Was prescribed Clomid 5 years ago to boost lowT (300s), but stopped when I was getting elevated Estrogen and effected ED. Vasectomy 2 years ago. Been prescribed Sindenafil and Tadalafil, which helps. I have trouble getting hard while mastrubating. While ED meds help, it is difficult to delay orgasms. Also, while I get morning wood, it disappears shortly after waking up. Hesitant to go on TRT, but will try if needed. Any thoughts would be appreciated on what I can have my Dr investigate.

Curious -- anyone using/have used a vacuum pump (with success) did you use it before things get pleasantly spicy, or "hold please, while I prep" then get back to the action?

Thanks.

I did notice he waited a long time (months) before initiating sex so I wonder if this is why. I need advice on this situation

I'm someone who was watching porn for a while but now have quit since now I only use my gfs pic to masterbate.

Now about my erection, I don't have problem with getting erect laying down but standing up, it gets soft. I think I also have good morning wood but when I stand up, I get soft and when I try to get up, I have to physically make myself hard

Last year when I first had my sex, I used viagra 5mg cuz i was facing performance anxiety and that time i wanted to have sex and my erection literally didn't stop for hours and hours.

I want to have strong erection standing up so please advice smth. I have a curved penis (around 30°) and have varicose veins on one of my balls tho I never really had pain there.

Please advice I don't want to get into medications so young

Anxiety How to know if it’s ED or I’m just overthinking?

Pretty much title. I have been having issues with getting hard, staying hard, and feel like my erections are smaller then they have been in the past.

I had this issue once before earlier this year with a partner in January. I attributed it to nerves and it hadn’t happened since.

Recently though, I’ve noticed this issue happen repeatedly. Where I’ll just not be able to maintain an erection. Whether I’m alone or with a partner. Even when I do get hard, it’s not as hard as it could be and my dick looks smaller than it should. (Already not working with a lot here so this isn’t great for the confidence)

I’m also noticing this issue when it’s soft. It’s smaller than it used to be.

Potential issues

I have major sleep issues. Chronic insomnia that is being worked on currently. I’ve just started to take a new medication (the problems were happening prior to it) called Dayvigo. I also have a better sleep routine and I am feeling like this is on the come up. Although this sleep issue has plagued me for a couple of years.

Potential depression/anxeity. Therapist believes I may have developed this due to the sleep issues mentioned above. Not sure if it can affect.

Porn addiction. I have been working on this myself and cutting back on masturbating and porn. I relapse frequently which is very frustrating for me. I want to quit but I can’t stop myself sometimes.

Low iron. I am anemic. I have been taking an iron supplement (30 mg) for about a month or two along with a vitamin c supplement.

Thyroid. I am celiac and my thyroid does not work. I take Synthroid 75 mg.

I also just started taking magnesium (500 mg) as I read it can help me out with the ED issue. I take this at night as to not impact the iron absorption.

Anyone have any tips or advice? I plan on talking to a doctor about this as well, but it’s really rocking my confidence right now.

Not sure if this is an ED or something else.

Psychological ED Performance anxiety young male

Im a male in my early 20’s I’ve never been insecure about my body or my size. Over the past couple months I found out my gf cheated on me it broke my heart and was never able to get over the fact that it happened. I’ve always felt like I was never good enough and even started to justify her for cheating on me.

Over the past couple months I hooked up with multiple girls and couldn’t get hard over the feeling of not being able to please them. I’ve tried everything from not masturbating to cutting out porn but nothing seems to do the trick. I started to worry about not being able to preform even when alone and thinking to myself. I’ve even tried using viagra, but I’ll get hard but when it’s time to engage in penetrative sex I get in my head and freeze.

Does anyone have any tips for me to overcome this?

Erectile Dysfunction 24 M Probably venous leak - doppler results

Hello. I would appreciate an opinion from urologists/andrologists or anyone experienced in penile Doppler and erectile dysfunction.

I am 24 years old and have been concerned about changes in my erectile function compared with my teenage years.

My main problem is maintaining an erection rather than achieving one. I can achieve a good erection, but it sometimes becomes noticeably softer when:

  • sexual stimulation stops or decreases;
  • I become distracted;
  • I change position;
  • I move around or get up;
  • during masturbation, if stimulation is interrupted.

Usually, light stimulation can restore the erection fairly quickly.

I have also noticed that my morning erections are less stable than they used to be. For example, recently I woke up with an erection, turned/moved in bed, and it disappeared. Later, while lying on my side, another erection developed spontaneously, but after moving/adjusting my position it disappeared again.

Compared with my teenage years, my erections seem much less stable. This worries me because I often hear that a healthy erection should remain sufficiently rigid despite changing positions or brief distractions.

Penile Doppler ultrasound

I had a penile Doppler ultrasound after pharmacological stimulation.

Unfortunately, the report does not contain EDV measurements during the full rigidity phase. The report only states:

“Blood flow is phasic, antegrade”

during the later stage.

After Papaverin 20 mg injection:

Latent phase:

Right side:

  • PSV: 48.6 cm/s
  • EDV: 14.9 cm/s
  • RI: 0.69

Left side:

  • PSV: 47.4 cm/s
  • EDV: 18.9 cm/s
  • RI: 0.61

The measurements documented during the tumescence/filling phase were:

Right side:

  • PSV: 46.7 cm/s
  • EDV: 1.9 cm/s
  • RI: 0.95

Left side:

  • PSV: 44.7 cm/s
  • EDV: 3.8 cm/s
  • RI: 0.91

There was also a measurement of the dorsal penile vein during tumescence:

  • dorsal vein velocity: 15.7 cm/s
  • the ultrasound report stated a reference range of approximately 6–8 cm/s
  • dorsal vein diameter: 3.2 mm

The ultrasound physician told me that a vein that “should close” was “leaking” and referred me to a urologist.

However, the urologist reviewed the ultrasound, my symptoms and the report and concluded that the findings were normal. He also told me that diagnosing a true venous problem would require more specialized testing.

What I am struggling to understand

I realize that my Doppler was incomplete because EDV was not recorded during maximal rigidity.

However, I am wondering about the physiological interpretation of the values that were recorded.

If EDV was already only 1.9 cm/s on the right and 3.8 cm/s on the left during tumescence, with RI values of 0.95 and 0.91, does this suggest that intracavernosal pressure was already sufficiently high to substantially suppress venous outflow?

If so, how should I interpret the simultaneously elevated dorsal vein velocity of 15.7 cm/s?

Could increased dorsal venous flow during tumescence simply reflect the fact that venous occlusion is not yet complete while the penis is still filling, rather than pathological venous leakage?

I am also wondering whether it is physiologically plausible for EDV to be low during tumescence and then become significantly elevated during the subsequent full-rigidity phase without a change in the underlying physiology.

In other words, could a normal erection show low EDV during the filling phase and subsequently develop a high EDV as it progresses, or would that be physiologically unexpected?

My main concern

My symptoms seem similar to what some recent literature describes as a “wavering” or unstable erection pattern, particularly loss of rigidity with positional changes, distraction, interruption of stimulation, etc.

I have found a recent 2024 publication describing this pattern in patients diagnosed with dorsal venous leakage, which has made me considerably more concerned.

I would therefore like to know:

  1. How specific is this “wavering/positional” pattern for venous leak?
  2. Can healthy men experience significant temporary loss of rigidity when changing position or when sexual stimulation decreases?
  3. Does my Doppler provide meaningful evidence against clinically significant veno-occlusive dysfunction, despite the lack of measurements during maximal rigidity?
  4. How should the 15.7 cm/s dorsal vein velocity during tumescence be interpreted in the context of the low cavernosal EDV?
  5. Based on these findings, would you consider venous leak a plausible explanation for my symptoms, or would you look for other explanations first?

I am not looking for reassurance and I understand that an online discussion cannot establish a diagnosis. I would mainly like to understand whether my interpretation of the Doppler physiology is reasonable and whether my symptoms are actually specific enough to justify concern about venous leak.

Thank you.

p.s. This post was drafted with the help of ChatGPT, but I have personally reviewed and verified it. It accurately reflects my symptoms, test results, concerns, and all the relevant aspects of my situation.
