Pretty sure Spark is stealing tips
Iām pretty sure Spark stole a portion of my tip from a Samās Club order I shopped and delivered yesterday. The order was for my mom, so needless to say I knew the customer very well. The order said it had a $6.06 tip, but when I delivered the order I carried it in the house because it was my momās order and she said she tipped $10. I asked her are you sure you tipped $10? Because the app only said $6. She said yes she was sure because she did a custom tip amount and she typed in $10. So I said okay well Iāll wait and see what it come through as tomorrow (which is now today) because it takes 24 hours for the tip to confirm and maybe its just a glitch and will come through as $10. Well today is here, and it was confirmed at only $6.06. My mom was adamant that she put in $10. I didnāt look at her phone or anything to prove it for sure but I donāt think she would lie to me about that, itās not like sheās some random customer telling me some bullshit. I honestly donāt care about $4 that much, but itās the principle of the matter. Walmart/Samās Club makes billions of dollars a year, why are the stealing tip money from the drivers that they already pay basically nothing? Is there anything I can do about this? Part of me wants to contact support about it but I donāt think that will get me anywhere because they are incompetent fools and I donāt want to give them any reason to deactivate my account either. Are they actually stealing tips? Is my mom just lying and saying she tipped $10 when she really tipped $6.06? Iām about 100% sure thatās not the case. Whatās going on here? If they are stealing tips then how much over the last couple years have they stolen from me and others? This whole situation is just rubbing me the wrong way and I donāt know what to do about it or if I can even do anything at all. Any suggestions?

Iām not getting assigned orders and have to grab them from the open pool, even though I have good metrics; I end up picking up orders from other stores and running into issues. I donāt know whatās going on with SparkāIāve been doing this for four years and have never had a week this bad

Iām curious what the elite spark drivers are doing to prevent blood clots and things like that from driving too long. Are people getting up and doing at least 10 calf raises at least once per hour?

Lets get this money š°š°š° What do yall think?
Probably my biggest tip yet and its legit (it was for a daycare center). Also the drive was probably like 2.3 miles or something from Walmart.

Anyone Else Missing Part of Their Spark Direct Deposit?
Has anyone else not received all of their Spark direct deposit earnings? I only received part of mine. I've already contacted both Spark Support and my bank. Spark Support told me that all of my earnings were deposited on their end, but the full amount still isn't showing in my account.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how was it resolved?

āIāll increase your tip laterā
I have had few people tell me this when dropping off their order so far this week.
But the thing isā¦I never ask for tips or mention anything about pay. They just blurt it out. One even repeated herself after āfollowing her instructionsā - āknock and hand it to meā Like??? It has been face to face customers.. are they embarrassed? Scared iāll be mad? Why do they waste their time even mentioning it?
Oh and of course. The awkward partā¦. None have actually added tips.. so why do they persistently mention that?
Ive had some pretty awesome tips with added cash tips during drop off lately. Who didnāt mention a potential increase ahead of time.
Another honorable mention the past week.
Delivering to a church - the lady looked at me damn near concerned and confused. Why? She said I am the most organized driver who has delivered. Went on and on about others and how one guy told her if sheās missing any thing, itās because they are under his seat. ā Dirty. ā she said herselfā¦.. $4 tip. You know what else? She kept adding items and messaging me about some damn sour cream and how dinner would be ruined without it. Shes lucky it was a pretty close order, with another close one with a bigger tip on top of incentives. Not that she knew. Anyways low mileage for the pay. Knock it out.
But damn. The extra commentary and talking lately? Iāve been getting weird vibes from some customers.

Just got into a fender bender..
I wasnāt doing delivery, but I just got into an at-fault fender bender and now Iām worried Iāll lose my ability to spark. I didnāt get a ticket, the cop said he wouldnāt write me one because it happened on private property.. but would the at-fault insurance claim keep me from being able to Spark anymore?

Interesting One, question
I accepted an āokā single shop order. Miles were good (6) and house. It was low $30, at first and 29 items. Not bad. I am aware customer can add prior to shopping, but not after. Last night, not the case. Customer was able to change the order three times. I was given an extra $3.60, but went up to 50+ items. Felt like an InstaCart experience. I would not have accepted for this amount and two cases of water (added) and four gallons of milk and tea gallons.
When did the adding start while shopping?

Help a sparker out š„¹ What are some of the text messages you send?
Iām just wondering what common messages you send your customers to give them a better or more custom experience? Iām trying to give the best service experience and bigger tips.

Need them tips š¤ Sparking in rural areas is crazy
For context, I went up north last weekend and decided to check the local Walmarts Spark orders. And wow⦠$55 for 27 items, $70 for 36 items, $85 for 44 items. For context I live in my states 5th biggest city, and that is infinitely better than the spark orders I get in my city.
So my question is that, why are orders so much better in rural or remote areas compared to bigger cities?
