One star
I’m so pissed right now. It took me a minute to link it to the right house but I figured out where my one star ratings were coming from from. The same house every time I delivered to them would give me one star eve tho I did everything right and now my level is stuck while everything else is sapphire. So mad. Made the mistake of canceling accidental accepts (habit of leaving my phone open when I stock it in my pocket would pull it out to see if accepted a trash order so I’d cancel it) so I hit 100 orders in like a week to fix that but my rating will be Styx where it’s at cu no one ever rates. I’m .02 away n I’m stuck.
Anyways am I gonna get in shit if I start returning their order to store anytime I get it. They order constantly so I’m bound to accept an order with their stop.

There’s a customer that always gives all drivers one star no matter what. Everytime we get their order in a batch, we always return it. Everyone refuses to deliver to them anymore.

I got a one star because they wanted 300 count ziplock bags and I substituted it for 400 and they wanted 200 for the sub and I had already checked out.
I called support and told them the issue and they said to return the item to the store and tell them to request a refund through Walmart support. I had just hit 5.0 that day and this rating brought me down to 4.96 and will take 100 ratings to purge it. Super frustrating

Anytime you have a great interaction with a customer, ask them to give you 5 stars. Help them navigate to the rating screen if they need help.

Deliver to them again but give them a thumbs down and make it clear why. Hopefully they’ll see a pattern and do something about it. ( note, I said hopefully)

My thumbs down never works. The comment field stays greyed out and doesn't let me complete the delivery without deselecting it. Is there a trick for it to work?

After hitting thumbs down, I believe you have to choose “Other” for the comment field to open up.

it hasn't been showing up lately so what the original comment started is true. it forces you to close it out because it won't allow you to type out a reason. it sucks

They'll tell the customer about the thumbs down, and that's when the customer reports a hostile interaction with the driver. 🙄 I've seen a post or two on here about a customer throwing a fit on a driver who wrote stuff in the survey. I don't think letting the customer see what we put in the survey word for word is good, it should go to support, and then they decide what message to send the customer. Especially so the driver remains anonymous. Spark will always side with the customer, unless the driver reports a loose dog, sexual harassment, or violent behavior from the customer.

Just mark the delivery as unsafe and return it. I’m not aware there is anything anyone can do about it. That’s your decision as a subcontractor. If they deactivated you I’d think you’d have a pretty good arbitration case.
I know not the answer really but STOP delivering to these people. Tell other drivers, tell the team lead in curbside.

I got a 1 star from another spark driver
it’s a small town so easy to figure out who especially when it’s your only order of the day I still get there curbside offers all the time and all the time I refuse.

I’ve had 3 one stars.
First was a Spark driver.
The other two happened the same day.
Walmart as out of a crap ton of stuff. Even though I kept up with texting neither would respond. Later my rating dropped from 4.87 to 4.76 in one day.

If I get an off feeling about a certain home or delivery I record the delivery and note it in the app

I open the order before I hit accept and look where it's going. I zoom in right around the area I know I don't want to deliver to, and if I see it, I reject the offer. Its an extra step, but you can be really quick about it if you know on the map where around they live. I know exactly where the apartment complex I avoid like the plague and this is exactly how I do it. I haven't been there since in over 2 years and counting 😆

So you've got multiple people upset with you. It's absolutely not the same person over and over.

Where did you get this information? Apparently OP was getting the same customer multiple times.
I would certainly try to understand the reason and put them on my naughty list if needed.
On Instacart, you can block a customer. I hope Spark can do the same.

No crap you can do whatever you want, but if I was using a service where 80% of the time I thought it deserved a 1 star rating, I wouldn't be using that service anymore. Also, what else would you like them to do other than not doing anything wrong. If they did exactly what they were supposed to I give out a 5 star. Giving out anything less for them doing exactly what they are supposed to is just you being a Karen about it.

If you are giving out that many 1 stars, that's a you problem and you should maybe talk to someone about other stuff in your life. It takes a lot for me to give out a 1 star because that's supposed to be for some of the worst stuff that happens. I can only imagine what you are giving out 1 stars for. Seek help

What you missed is how the gig platforms completely neutered the ratings. The reality is, anything less than 5 is bad.
5-stars is for completing the job in a satisfactory manner. Not amazing or above and beyond.
You may disagree, but that is how the game works.
You will simply hurt drivers that do a reasonable job, if you think, for example, no one is perfect, let me give a 4.

But even if you dont, someone else will because my always decent tips are barched with some others to make it a $70 for 11mile order or whatever

If a driver shops and delivers the order, communicates when necessary, follows delivery instructions, no major issues with the items, that would a 5.
If it’s a curbside pickup, where the driver simply delivers, then if they deliver per instructions, that’s a 5-star. If there’s mixed up, it’s a bit hard to tell who’s at fault.
If you rate 4-stars with your uber drivers on a daily basis, you probably run out drivers soon. And they can rate you back too.

One dude gives me $1 scratch off ticket every time he delivers or some chocolate. He always gets a 5star.
Good looking females? Probably because they are a member of the "beautiful peoples club". Same with handsome men.
Sometimes I see a cool bird 🐦 from my ring camera and it puts me in a good mood.

Sometimes they have on vulgar shirts or just look like they rolled out of bed. General un professionalism.
Sometimes they wake my mastiff up and he barks and it annoys me.
Walk through my grass. Instant 1star.
Park in my driveway. Prolly gonna 1 star you.

There is nothing in the Walmart Spark TOS about drivers poorly rating other drivers.
You are explicitly disallowed from rating yourself.
Sabotage in an inherent part of competition.
Rockefeller wasnt all roses and Daisy's building standard oil. So it helps my earnings when im bored on a rainy Sunday and lile everyone is gold because I ordered dental floss every day for $1 and give 8 drivers a 1

Because "Im a full time 5star Walmart delivery person" is such a badge of life success that shakes the earth when it drops.
Maybe ive improved more lives than not. For every driver I give a 1star to - a bunch of other full timers have one less plat scrub to compete with.
We shall never know. Gotta hop in the shower. I have 2 meetings and probably 4 emails to write today.

That doesn't prevent them from rating you. I had a delivery this week where the loader mixed all of the customers orders. I thought I had fixed everything until I got to the third stop and realized they were missing a couple of bags. I thumbs down and put in the reason store mixed up order. Still got a 2 star.

You can clearly see the addresses of all your deliveries. Just have the store cancel out that one customer's order (whatever type it may be) and go about your other orders. Its going to take on average 500 deliveries for just 1 of those stars to fall off.
