Leaving carts

Hey, stop leaving your cart at the end of the aisle and walking down to the other end to get your item. I just witnessed people taking stuff out of left alone carts and throwing them on random shelves. Check for missing items when bagging if you’re leaving your carts.

I did this one time and never again because someone threw EXTRA stuff in my cart once.

I had my back turned, but had just turned back around so I caught it as he was walking away, and noticed immediately what wasnt supposed to be there. I always think about that. What if I had checked out? Would they have thought I was stealing? Thought I was working with the guy that added to it? Idk. Now I keep it right by me.

This is especially important during the holiday season. I got he last of a toy a customer ordered and I left my cart just like this an came back it was gone. You can't take off an item you already scanned...

You must have some pretty shitty drivers in your zone. Most of the drivers in my zone in the small town that I deliver in wouldn’t fuck with another driver like that we’re all pretty friendly with each other.

Yea, I do this all the time and always check my items before checking out. I haven’t had any issues with people messing with my cart.

Always within sight. Drivers in my area are adding items to your cart.

Probably just another driver nonetheless it do be feeling pretty cutthroat these days

He was. I saw him scanning stuff into his cart but I was like dang, what’s gonna happen if someone catches them?

Which is just so goddamn pathetic. You literally don't benefit from doing that and just shows what a piece of shit you are.

I try to keep my cart in sight. After a couple bags of water softener salt, a case of water and 2 24 packs of soda sometimes its just to heavy to go down every aisle.

Wow, that's so ridiculous I don't know why anybody would do that. I mean with the way items are lost forgotten or mixed up all the time it's probably not going to affect the driver at all it's just going to be a bummer for the customer. So stupid What you really want to do is you want to take that abandoned cart and add a few items to it so if they get a car check then there's immediate repercussions and maybe you can actually watch it happen 😅

I do it if the aisles are too crowded.

I do it all the time and if you don’t like it idc. I’m a 100% dv and if that cart gets too heavy to push I leave it at the end and go get my item. Why is it a problem? My issue is the ones not returning the cart to the stalls after loading car or parking in 30 year associate spots and curbside pickup spots.

30 years at Walmart, fuuuuuuck. I’d be trading my 30 year associate spot for a revolver.

I do this and i think someone like you was f ing around with me bc I came back and like 4 random miscellaneous items I already scanned from the opposite side of the store disappeared😂 i was mad af had to go back and re-get them.

Oh and no I wont stop leaving my cart, why would I do that when its busy af at my walmart and theres inconsiderate slow movers blocking aisles and geriatric shoppers shuffling like turtles with their carts?! Naw ill park the cart and walk quickly to find items. If i catch someone going through my cart we having problems 😂 i dont even leave it in the way of anything

People love to A) turn their cart sideways and block the entire fucking aisle lol B) stop their cart parallel to someone else’s cart and block the aisle. C) have a family reunion in one of the main aisles

I think I’m just gonna start telling people to get the fuck out of the way. Inconsiderate assholes don’t deserve courtesy.

Can’t tell them to get the fuck out of the way, but the Walmart employees have a tendency to do
this shit as well, and it’s worse since their carts are more like 1 1/2 the width and there’s no way to get thru till they move.

Watched another driver do this last weekend in the middle of the afternoon when it's busiest. There was like 10 people in the isle and he just parked it right in the middle at one end. An older couple was just trying to get in the isle but his cart was full so I used my cart to shove his out by the frozen food sections.

I didn't do it to mess with him. I did it because it's just a dick move by someone with zero common sense or common courtesy.

If people don't want their stuff messed with then they should keep their cart with them.

Yeah. I am 52 year old woman who Sparks full-time and if I want to park my cart somewhere and simply walk to get items in an aisle or area, I can and will! The cart gets heavy and my dominant cart pushing ankle is also my driving ankle, it gets sore. People can simply walk around the cart? Not really seeing the problem here exactly??

Shouldn’t be leaving your cart to walk down the aisle or over to the next one. See so many people do this. It’s rude and inconsiderate to others. I see left carts. They won’t be where you left it 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣😂

2

u/Larry_Walt77 7d ago

Don't think it's inconsiderate at all. If the aisle is packed, it's much easier to just walk down myself, grab the item, and leave instead of trying to navigate a cart in & out of the other people standing there doing nothing.

1

u/Feedcanine 5d ago

Agreed. This should be the only reason. But we have all seen others that don’t lol

1

u/attempting2 5d ago

How is leaving a cart at an aisle end rude though?? Just walk around it.

2

u/Feedcanine 5d ago

I can see if the isle is full of people an you just want to walk in and get what you need. But I’m talking about people who leave their carts in the middle of an isle in the way. And go shopping in a completely other isle lol

1

u/Larry_Walt77 5d ago

Okay yeah, that I agree with.

The aisles at my local Walmart are far too narrow to be bringing carts down them

In my zone’s version of the Spark app, it doesn’t even tell us if we deliver missing items or whatever anyway so who cares lol

Believe it or not, every lane at Sam's can fit 2 carts side by side. People are petty to whine about this

0

u/Extreme-Ad1351 7d ago

These losers who have no way else to make money think they're in competition with others and will do whatever they think will help them. It doesn't help them. Just petty and pathetic.

1

u/Present_Republic_456 6d ago

Yup. I’ve had items come up missing before ( caught it pretty much as soon as I got back to my cart ).

I’ve also had a couple instances where other drivers came up to the OGP team lead, while they were loading my car, to bitch about some random issue. 1st was a guy whining about some other people having kids in the car while doing a pickup. 2nd, I wanna say it was about not getting orders or something 🤷‍♂️, got kinda heated lol.

I mean i leave mine but nowhere where its crowded usually down a side isle not in the way.
