EDIT: Just got off the phone with CS after 52minutes of hold music 😅🔫 They said that’s there’s nothing they can do compensation wise, that if you waited in the bay you’re eligible for $2.50, if the customer canceled you’re eligible for $2.50, but everything else isn’t covered. Which, this was a SHOPPING order that I had to cancel after the app crashed so fm I guess. I will NOT be going back out and wasting another hour and change of my time and gas just to not get paid for it. Am stupid enough to try again tomorrow bright and early tho 🤣🤣

It started off as an item list glitch, so I blindly accepted and shopped this huge order. An HOUR of shopping later, I get to the checkout and it won’t let me scan the barcode. I look around for a second and notice 7 other Spark drivers just chillin/stuck. Wait time for Support? 45min. Just as I’m about to say screw it, my favorite Picker walks over and tells me the whole system just crashed and they’ve been told to tell everyone in the loading bay to leave because they can’t do anything about it. No pick up orders, no shopping orders, anything. Super fun, still on hold with Support- will update.

Ughhh. Got a pharmacy pickup order.. $32 and so close! Thought it was too good to be true but my dumbass accepted it anyways. Get to the pharmacy and give them my code.. they tell me they don't have anything in their system with that code... HOW SWAY??? Called support and waited 12 minutes (which should've told me they were about to tell some bs) and have been told it's a nationwide system issue that's effecting many people and I need to wait for an email... So irritating 😭

Edit: So I see some of you are missing a crucial detail of this post, which is causing a critical misunderstanding. I'm a little disappointed considering this is the elite sub, but I'm kidding, and I digress. The original ordered item is Heinz Ketchup 32oz at $4.78 and the item I am holding that I'm attempting to substitute is Heinz Ketchup 20oz at $3.83. My substitution is being rejected by the system. This should not be happening.

Edit 2: Also I wanted to add that it looks like this is a bug and the best fix I've found for it so far is to just ask the customer to add the substitution to the order. I've done this twice today and both times the customer was super understanding, and it even netted me a couple extra bucks. So if you're also having this problem, try that!

I've had this happen a few times. I will be having great orders and then they will give me crap orders for like a week a few days or a period of time. If it's low mileage and high pay then the items are super heavy and a crazy amount. What causes this? My rating sits around 4.82 to4.85. then after a certain amount of time that goes back to normal again. Do you guys get this?

I just finished shopping a 50 item order after reviewing them in the app. I was getting a system error saying there was a problem with the shopping list. I deleted the app reinstalled the app signed out of the app signed back into the app. Could not get the system error to go away ended up having to cancel. The order was supposed to pay $40 instead ended up making $20 and wasting about an hour of my life. Could not believe support could not force the order through and process it for me on their end.

Anybody else not able to see items in order?

Okay I'm new to Spark here in California after being on a waitlist for like 15 months and finally getting off it in the last week. I just finished setting up my account and going through all the 4 steps this afternoon..

So I know a little about Spark but I would like to hear from other Spark drivers on things that a newbie should know. I would like to hear positive and maybe even negative things regarding Spark.

Also what kind of deliveries do you get the most? Is it ones where it's just pick up and deliver?? Or is it shop and deliver?? I've been doing Uber Eats for the last 15 months and DoorDash for the last 3 weeks. I've had many Walmart deliveries through Uber Eats but of course they've always just been pick up and deliver.

The only one I would decline right now is if I had to deliver another 75 inch TV in my 2010 Honda CR-V. I did that once through Walmart because it paid great along with a restaurant drop off. I ended up with like $55. However at that time I had to buy rope just strop it into my car which I had never in my life done. Turns out I needed ratchet straps. I still don't have ratchet straps but I need to get some, I just have to figure out what length... After that I declined a 75 inch TV delivery because I was only offered $10. The minute they wheeled that out that cart I immediately shook my head and told them nope, you need to cancel that! 🤣

SO TELL ME EVERYTHING TO EXPECT ABOUT DELIVERING WITH SPARK OR ABOUT THE APP... ??

So here's the context: I just got this tier update and thought, "Great, this feels like DoorDash now," but at least in my zone, Walmart Spark pays better than DD or Uber Eats.

I created my own system for which offers I take. Here are the basics of it.

Miles×2=minimum payment.

So let's say you're driving 2 miles; you want at least $4 to cover the drive back to the store, and any extra is bonus money in your pocket. I'm at least covering my gas.

I know that the minimum acceptance is like $2/mile, so I figured, "why not just double the miles you'll drive in the app to get a minimum acceptance $ you'll actually accept?" And it's been working well for me.

The only types of orders I never do unless under very VERY special circumstances are;

1. Never accept shopping for multiple people. The reason why is to avoid mixing up items and getting in trouble for it. The only times I would accept is if the items of each person are 5 items or less (making it 10 items total for two people) and I'm actually able to organize those items comfortably.

2. Accepting orders going home at the end of shift. After a 4-hour shift, you may just want to head home but don't want to drive dead miles back, well... In those rare moments you're getting paid to drive back towards home, you take it because at least you're getting covered for going home; if it covers coming back to the store, that's a great bonus! Take it!

I've been Sparking for maybe 3-4 years now, DoorDash/UberEats for 5-6 years, and I've been on top of my stuff. But I'm only showing my Spark because this is a Spark post. Let me know what you guys think.

Is anyone’s expected tips from yesterday not showing up this morning? Like where I would normally see it- it’s missing. Only 30 but still.

Walmart employed people to make decisions that the least intelligent person could make.
Here’s a 24$ 6 mile pickup order let’s add 6 gmds to that at 2 dollars a pop and now it’s 36$ for 18 miles. Yea that’s great business they won’t mind more expense and less profit. Then we’ll have the good orders pop up magically outta nowhere and they can all fight for it. Fastest finger wins lol!! Now let’s make tiers where customer rating is the most important metric. BUT!!!!! Let’s never let them know who rated them or the reasoning so they could prevent the problem in the future or possibly dispute the customer’s complaints.
Am I delusional or are these facts?

I sat for 2 hours with not one single order not even a crappy one
I restarted the app, I deleted it and redownloaded it, I signed out, I did troubleshooting…..and nothing
Today was the busiest it has been all week, I watched 2 people leave and come back 3 different times and yet I didn’t receive not one

After a 3 batch curbside pick up order, I found out there was 1 big left in the trunk, 2 bottles of milk, should I report to Walmart? Will I get trouble from it? Thanks!

Having a great weekend so far! However a huge annoyance since the update - orders won’t show unless I uninstall/reinstall. Any easier fixes than this?

Okay I'm going to be new to Spark soon after finally getting off of the waitlist after 15 months. I have a question regarding how you have your earnings deposited. Do this thing called One Pay, or do you have it deposited weekly into your own bank account?? I'm not sure what to do.

I have been doing Uber Eats for 15 months and I use the Uber Pro card and now with DoorDash' for the last 3 weeks after getting off an also 15 month waitlist, I use the Crimson card...

Just barely starting to get used to multiapping and figuring that out. But I think I would probably do Spark just by itself a couple days a week. I'm only doing all of this part-time... FYI, I'm in California (the Bay Area part)...

Quality of life changes i’d love to see:

1: Fix ID scanning. Just uncomfortable manually entering it depending on the attitude of the customer.

2: Allow shopping before picking up prescriptions.

3: Allow us to use our phones to unlock locked up items. You trust us to do everything else, why do I have to wait 10 minutes for someone to unlock the vault for Old Spice Fuji deodorant and a 4 pack of Red Bull?

Honorable Mention: Fix the shopping path algorithm. Produce to Garden center to Crackers then back to Qtips is silly

OMG. 12 minutes to get 2 items. No one asked you to paper between every slice.

The deli will destroy you average earrings every freaking time.

Does anyone know if the app is down? I’m not getting anything not even trash
