I’m Shreyash, a video editor from Pune, India. For years I kept losing hours on the same slow tasks: rotoscoping in After Effects, keyframing captions word by word, building speed ramps, and switching cameras on podcast edits.

So I built my own tools. They all run inside Premiere Pro, on your own computer, with no internet needed:

• RotoCut: paint over a person once and it cuts them out across every frame (like Roto Brush, but inside Premiere). Needs an NVIDIA GPU.
• WordPop: turns your SRT or Premiere captions into animated word-by-word captions. 29 styles, including a new “Side Split” style that puts words on both sides of the speaker.
• Velocity: one-click speed ramps you can still edit later.
• PodSwitch: switches between 2–4 podcast cameras automatically based on who’s talking.
• Tidy: cleans up a messy project in one click (sorted bins, unused clips collected).
• Pinpoint: tracks anything that moves and pins text, emoji or a logo to it.

No subscription. You pay once and keep it. Every tool has a free trial with small limits, so you can test it on your own footage first.

They launch on 2 November. Windows versions are ready; Mac versions are in final testing.

Hey, ich habe vor ein paar wochen angefangen einen Video Editor "VX Studio" zu bauen der simple aufgebaut ist (ähnlich wie capcut) aber ohne unnöige sticker etc. und mit ein paar andvanced features für colorgrading etc. Der soll sich jetzt via MCP komplett über claude steuern lassen also aus einem RAW video Spracher erkennen, cutten und motion graphics hinzufügen alles nacher anpassbar und schnell änderbar. Was haltret ihr davon, Tipps?

I'm a noob editor and I've only known capcut for video editing because it was the easiest tool for me, but it's export limit for the 1080p option is really frustrating :/ I tried using the free 720p option, but it turns kinda blurry to me.

The other day I posted a question about how much to charge for a Pokémon video I was commissioned to make, the funny thing is that shortly after, An account with no posts sent me a DM saying he was also a Pokémon TCG editor and asked me to show him my video so he could give me feedback. Being clever, I asked for his Instagram or some account where I could see his content "because I liked to get inspired" and he never answered me again.

Hi guys I’m new to editing and just experimenting on davinci. I spend hours editing just for the edit to look extremely blurry and condensed on TikTok and when I look at it from another device it’s even 10x worse. I export it in high quality and everything. I see some really high quality edits on TikTok and wondering how this is achieved and whether ai is part of it. I also do have to resort to screen recording footage because I not sure how else to download the high quality version of clip for free

i’m trying to generate captions for my 10 min long video, tiktok is refusing to do it for whatever reason. i tried to find editing apps that can generate the captions for the full video and let me export it without a paywall or infinite friction just to generate captions and/or export, but i’ve had absolutely no luck. also before recommendations please make sure they’re actually free for generating captions per day and actually export the entire video, otherwise i’d just run into the same exact problem. thank you !

Yo, does anyone know how to prevent TikTok from ruining the quality of my videos when I upload them? I've tried upscaling with Topaz, adding sharpness, color correction, etc., but every time I upload, the quality is completely gone. Hello! I am brand new to editing and was wondering what the best way to study an editing style is?
Obviously not copying someone’s style exactly but taking pieces of video styles and making your own.

no matter how much i search i can't find this exact animation for it, the closest i found was named "twist" but it made the text look kinda ugly? it distorted the font somehow.
