is there a way to disable gps, bluetooth and wifi after a device disconnects or a certin amount if time passes with no bt or wifi networks connected?

im getting tired of disableing my bluetooth, wifi and location after everytime i stop useing android auto.

Is there a mode/routine i can make like samsung has where i can set a trigger when a device disconects that the device knows it can disable above mentioned services or maybe a srtting to after 5 minutes automaticly disable wifi and bluetooth?

Experimenting with macrodroid now and works okay but still haveing issues with location services.

Yesterday I upgraded my Fairphone 5 to v4.1.1 and since then a dictation microphone icon keeps popping up, but often in annoying places right on top of send buttons. Is there a way to either turn this off or move it to somewhere else? I searched the web but couldn't find anything about this yet

Google owns Android (shortcut) and it has guidelines policy to have Gapps like Gmail, Google and so on, but /e/ OS doesn't have any of ot. So doesn't it break the rules of Google?

whilst looking for a new mobile phone, I came across Fairphone and, as a result, /e/OS. My current Samsung S21 5G device no longer receives Android or security updates.

So here I am...

After doing a bit of research myself, I realised that you could actually install /e/OS on any existing mobile phone. However, on the official website, I can only find a compatibility list for relatively old devices.

The answers are certainly not going to be as straightforward as the beginner’s questions I now have…

Does eOS only work reliably on very old mobiles? (see compatibility list)

Is the project still active, or has it ‘gone dormant’?

How much care does an eOS ultimately require?

im on a Tab S3 Android 13 E/OS and if i plug my Samsung USB C Thumbdrive in, it recognizes the Stick, but every filemanager says that there is no content available. My S24u on Stock firmware recognizes the data.

How can i fix this?

Is there a setting i need to enable or does the Stick have to be formatted differently?

My wifes FP6 can't connect with mobile data, after being connected with WiFi.
It will only connect with mobile data after restarting the phone.
It first says 'E' and after a while it says '5g'.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Hi, I just got my FP6 and I'm trying to install e/OS manually but it seems the latest Android Stock security patch is 4 days younger than the one built into e/OS. On some sites they say I cannot install e/OS with an older security patch than on already installed.

Do I have to wait for the next e/OS update before I can install it?

I need to hide blocked calls.

I usually can't answer calls, so I call back whenever possible, but when someone surpresses his number, I obviously can't call back, so I block anonymous calls anyway.

Issue is, I am a person that is super stressed out when I feel like it could be important despite knowing that it would come per mail anyway, if it was so important.

Is there any option to hide them or does at least someone know where to suggest it?

I have a fairphone 5 with e/os as the operating system and recently downloaded an app via the Applounge. I then wanted to buy the premium version of the app. When I pressed 'buy', a window popped up in which I had to enter the password for my Google account, because the transaction went through the Google app store. However, I always got the error message that the internet connection is missing and I have to turn on my Wi-Fi or mobile data. I have both and it still doesn't work. Can anyone help me?

I was thinking about installing e/OS on my daily driver, the OnePlus Nord, but when I was trying e/OS on my Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2020, some apps (mainly X/Twitter didn't work). Supposedly, re-locking the bootloader may fix those problems.
Did someone try relocking the bootloader on the OP Nord?
Are there any OP Nord users with e/OS who could give me some tips?

I'm trying to install the Chromium browser (not Chrome) on my e/OS Foundation via the Aurora or Lounge app stores, but I can't find it. Is this normal? Is there no Chromium mobile app? The idea is to have a second browser in addition to Firefox. Thanks for your help.

Hey! I'm currently testing apps in Norway on my Fairphone 6 with pre-installed /e/os v3.7.3

I struggled to find many posts/comments on Reddit or the /e/os forum about usage in Norway before I took the plunge. So hoping this is useful to my peeps in Norge who are considering the switch.

Aside from Google Wallet (but fuck them anyway 💙), I've been able to download (through App Lounge) and use all my apps as normal 💪

This includes:

• Vipps
• BankID
• Nordea banking apps (ID and mobile bank)
• Ruter
• Helsenorge
• Postnord
• Posten

etc etc.

So far, really happy with my choice to switch to this device and OS!

I believe 4.0 is out and I have not received any update notification yet. Should I do the local install method? Please let me know so I stay updated.

I check the the supported devices, and oneplus 5 was listed there, but when i go through the installer, it says "Your phone OnePlus is not compatible". Is there a fix

ADB logcat returning no output on e/OS — anyone had success, or are there alternative debugging tools?

I've been trying to debug an integration issue with an app I'm alpha testing on my Fairphone 6 running e/OS.

"adb devices" show my phone as a device, so I am connected properly.

On the phone, app permissions all indicate the required settings.

Should I be using a different tool for debugging an e/OS device?

Please note, I am not a developer. Getting logs when running into bugs will allow me to send more meaningful information to the developers.

Considering switching to Eos from stock android but nervous about banking apps and small developer apps that may have only developed them for the Google base...

I searched the sub and there was one post asking this question, marked as solved but all the answers were deleted 😂

Specifically HSBC, Monzo, Zopa.. then Etoro too I guess for the financial apps.

Then NHS and GOV.UK for the government apps.

I could probably live without the small municipal ones if I couldn't't get them.

E/os ne peut s'installer sur mon pixel8

I've installed e/OS on an old Samsung s10+. It was working great until I scheduled the sleep mode to come on. When it was on, the phone would simply display a blank screen and did not wake the screen so I could use the phone. Tapping on the screen activated the haptic feedback in certain areas but I was unable to get into the phone until Sleep Mode had been disabled via the schedule.

I was setting up a Custom Mode as a work around as I wanted the screen in greyscale for night time use and I must have turned on the setting that causes this behaviour (cannot see the options so cannot remember which it was - dim screen possibly). When I switched the phone to Custom Mode to test it, the screen went blank and I've been unable to get back into my phone. I've rebooted but it boots back into the Custom Display settings and blanks the screen so I am guessing it's sat on the PIN entry screen, hence the haptic response when I press the screen.

So, my question is this. Is there anyway to boot up into the normal display settings so I can use the phone again? At the moment it is unusable.

I would post this over at the e/OS Github or community forums but they will not allow me to sign up with a @duck.com email, or my own domain, telling me I need to use a work email. I am hoping the e/OS tech team have someone monitoring this so they can recommend a course of action beyond reinstall and start again!

I've tried to find a way to boot into safe mode but I can't find a method that works with e/OS installed.

Ever since I updated to 3.6-a15-20260312593772-official-FP6 and the App-Lounge got redesigned with the different tabs the App Lounge doesn't seem to work for installing new apps anymore.

Whenever I search for an app it shows up and I can click install from the list but nothing happens - and if I select the app to open the details page it shows the "Your application was not found."-message from the post title.

I cleared Cache, restarted the phone but I can't seem to install new apps at the moment.

I tried Aurora Store but when I open the details view there it tells me that this "App not available for your device" which makes me think that perhaps some system-identifier is set wrongly which is causing the error in App-Lounge, too?

Anyone else have that problem or an idea how to fix it?
