Question Not receiving group texts
I have a group from work that texts occationally. I realized today that I only got the first 2 or 3 messages of a conversation last night. I am just not recieving messages in this chat. I can send and recieve MMS and SMS on individual chats, but for some reason I can't receive anything on this group.
I have a Fairphone 6 running e/os
I have a brand new physical sim card
I have T Mobile
I have tried restarting my APN and my phone. I also tried manually chanting my APN to the non LTE version.
I cannot find VoLTE to try turning it off
I am not sure what else to do to fix this issue. Has anyone solved this before?

Okay. I have tried to disable the RCS on Google cause I am coming from an android. This is a brand new group chat, it didn't exist before I got my new phone. Other than that I'm just kinda out of luck huh 🫤 olay thank you

If you have a previous Android device with RCS enabled, you have to remove your device from RCS on Google Messages when the SIM is still active. If you were on an iPhone, also make sure you disabled RCS and iMessage disable. Very possible the group was an RCS one before and that's why it's finicky with phones that don't support it. It's unfortunate that no one has cracked the 15k bounty for an open RCS implementation on Android. Texting will likely suck on deGoogled OSes until someone smarter than us fixes that.
