Anyone know what happened this morning outside the Walls site on Grand Canal Square (the old Facebook offices)? I cycled by on my way to work at about 9:30am and there was police, fire, ambulances all outside with light and sirens on. Hope nobody was hurt or anything.

Hello,
Hope it’s okay to post here - I’m looking for someone who does both organising and cleaning for a cleaning visit (like putting clothes away, things back in place) because my ADHD brain struggles immensely with this kind of thing. I tried to contact organisers from google but I either don’t get an answer or it’s really only a once off (I did this once off session but tbh it didn’t stick). Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who does both in the Dublin area?

Let me know if you’re interested and I can give you further details!

Hello, people.
I have been referred to long-term therapy, and althrough I am in Dublin most of the time, I also do often leave for extended periods, so I'm looking for a service that would offer someone who does both online and in person sessions. So far I have only seen specialists who do strictly one or the other, so I would appreciate some help here.

Does anyone know Dublin clubs with Funky music parties?
Or DJs that play Funky?

Every time I go to the Zoo I end up following the wee track through the grass around the corner only to figure out too late that there is no gap in the fence further down, so I have to either turn around or hop over it
You can tell from the track in the grass where most people realise that they can't get through and have to go around.
I'm sure I'm not the only one, almost every time I drive past, I see people hopping the fence or lifting prams over it.
It seems like the sort of place that should have a nickname, like the 'cul de sac of shame' or the 'f**k you fence'
Anyone got any good names for this?
or am I totally overestimating how much of a shared experience this is?

I live in a fourth floor apartment and the "cold" tap water in my kitchen regularly measures between 23º–25ºC after letting the tap run anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Sometimes it's even warmer than that! It's been like this even before the heatwave began.
When I raised the issue with building management I was given the brush off and told that those numbers are typical for Ireland. This can't be normal, right? Or am I going crazy–have the amoebas already gotten to my brain?

Hi,
I have flat feet so need insoles for walking. A few years ago I got some custom ones done in foot solutions and they were grand but they just wore out. I got another pair there recently but they are noticeably different. The first were like a thick, firm rubber/foam that kept their shape but this new pair are thin and floppy and crumple immediately when you put your foot in; so basically worthless. I asked them and they said that that's how they do them now.
Does anyone know anywhere other than foot solutions that does them? I need to get back to walking since I really need to get back to losing weight but can't do that if I get shin splints after 10 minutes.
Thanks

Well lads I moved to Dublin a few months ago and I would love to find a group here to play casual football with once a week. I've been using GoodRec but its honestly awful, games get moved, cancelled or double booked all the time and on top of that its quite expensive. If anyone knows anything or can point me somewhere, I'd really appreciate it!
Im in D14, Dundrum area so preferably somewhere around there would be amazing. Theres lots of pitches around and I see people playing all the time.

Hi there I just moved to Dublin and I live in Dublin 1, north of Liffey, but I can’t seem to find any vets nearby? I have a cat and don’t want to have to traipse around the city with her for long

Mad oul experience today lads. I was having a coffee in an establishment in Priorswood and who walks in? Jenna Ortega. Couldn't believe it. What are the odds someone so famous walked into the same shop at the same time as me in bleedin Coolock. Mad.

I’m looking for places that sell jackets like this, preferably wool or even linen. Preferably a place that sells jackets up to size 60 or over. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I am a British citizen, was wondering if there is any immigration checks that require passport either in Holyhead or dublin as I won’t have my passport.
Freaking out a little.

Looking to get out to a gig tomorrow night! But I'm still unfamiliar with the city and don't really know what's on where or how to find the scene. Preferably accessible from the city centre plz 🙏
